It's very bad for the studio, at these rates they could release only one title in the generation.

They shouldn't allow Bungie to interfere with NaughtyDog's game, They should have release the game and let people be the judge of it. All those moves are terrible mismanagement imo. Even the golden gouse Fortnite is in trouble now days and the investments to gaas are looking bad day by day.

I don't know if I'll go back to this game, it is very frustrating for me with every new patch I must download again the hole game! 50+gb! seriously ??? Same with the next gen update it needed another 60gb update! Don't have time for this bs@it and have a huge backlog.

Glad to see this is finaly comes to an end! CMA and FTP didn't have any serious arguments from the beggining, a very weak case.

@Titntin those numbers 75% series s and 25% series x are from old data from 2022 papers when Series X was never to be found on the beggining of the generation and the S was all over the shelfs, not to taken seriously and already been debunked from IGN's article where these numbers came to public in the first place.

the game looks so good, glad it's day one on gamepass, I'll check it out!

more power, more storage, better thermals, smaller size, more features, better frame rates, yeah I'll definitely go for middle gen refreshes but I agree casual players never care for these things and will stick to first models.

I'm waiting till I see the slim and the ps5 pro models, the original design is so huge and ugly that there is no case to bring it to my living room, hope to see a real slim model and not just a slightly smaller redesign. Till then I stick to my ps4 pro.

Maybe it will sell well on ps because all the hype from pc and the lack of 1rst party titles the whole year but I doubght ps players will ever finish it, this is a crpg and the ps user base is mostly casuals players playing actions games mostly.

It looks very very good but nothing jaw dropping, I hardly can see any gameplay footage in this trailer, looked like scripted cinematic scenes to me.

When the 2 competitors released the only 2 things ps5 was better and faster than the competition was the Ssd and the wifi. So all the marketing eventually did go to the ssd, they had to saw everyone that the ssd was the more important thing for the generation. It's not a lie, it's just marketing stuff, everyone will little hardware knowledge from the pc's tech knew that this is all marketing from Sony. Even Digital Foundry did a test and put a slower SSD on ps5 with 3500mb/s R/W and eventually it didn't make a difference back then witch shows that even the blistering speed o ps5 ssd didn't used 100% in rift apart.

@AdamNovice we have evidence at 2018 that they wanted to release the multiplayer with the single player game....what changed in the processes nobody knows, i suspect a total reboot and a release as stand alone ip. But definitely the game didn't started at 2020 but way back, maybe 2020 was the reboot plan.

well at some point this whole exclusive game must stop. The best way is to bring games even 1 year later to all platforms. Keep it exclusive for 1 year to your console and then release it everywhere, that's the best model for maximum profit for the companies. Who wouldn't wanna play GOW on xbox or Horizon 5 on playstation? Hope we live enough to see this one day.

@mikey856 Sony will continue to deliver AAA that don't sell at the 70$ price tag and every year the statistics show ps5 players don't play those AAA games rather than Fifa, Cod, Fortnite eg, but then this has nothing to do with the anti competitive moves sony does to struggle competition.

Activision-Blizzard wanted to sell and they approached MS in the first place, Bethesda too after the fallout76 flopped financial was very bad so they wanted to sell too. So all cut the crap MS buy's all the devs because they have unlimited money and they can't compite otherwise, if the devs themselves didn't want to sell MS will never have them.
I don't know why all of you are surprised that Sony make those kind of mafia tactics to struggle competition. All of them where known months before from the Apple-epic files among other things Sony did to struggle competition like parity to 3rd party devs for their games to not run better on other platforms and the obstacles they put for the cross platform multiplayer gaming, all where well known from back then so why some of you are pretending to be shocked? Sony will do anything to stop MS from gaining market share and i mean ANYTHING...

So the problem here are the platinum trophies I guess and not the games themselves. So we have an ego problem from gamers they play only AAA games and want to show what they are capable with trophies. I personally don't give a f@ck how may trophies someone has, never been a trophie hunter so this isn't an issue for me. If someone wants to pay for easy trophies then it's his problem not mine. But even then I see some hypocrisy from the other side when the majority of the gamers to achieve platinum trophies spends time on youtube walkthroughs. I mean, I see "cheaters" on both sides here, don't mind me.

I can't understand what's Sony's problem here, they never owned the COD ip. Eventually some other competitor will come and claim the rights of COD. They should know better that this was a possibility and should have a plan B. They can't cry for something it was never theirs. No regulator commission can take serious those statements Sony drops in the table. Move on and deal with it.

@would_you_kindly why mention Fifa as example for smart delivery when the publisher doesn't provided a free next gen update rather chooses to give 3 versions of the game? 1 for xbox one, one for xbox series x/s and the ultimate edition that includes both. Smart delivery and MS has nothing to do in this case when the developer/publisher doesn't provide a free update. Bad example. Here the publisher provided a free update witch in xbox you get it with smart delivery and in ps+ you cant, simple as that.

For at least 3 to 4 months now i can find a ps5 available at stores but only in bundles with games and periferials that I don't want witch is so annoying because the price is up to 650€+. The 399€ and 499€ consoles are always out of stock for a reason only Sony and retailers knows, people have stop buying bundles that's for sure and waiting for a single console.

As a consumer i understand the 70$ price tag when the developer put enormous effort 5-6 years to give me a new and unique experience. What effort Naughty Dog put to this remake for 2 years so it deserves 70$ price? same game, same story with only few updates...no no no...the 70$ price tag is hilarious for this minor effort from the developer.

it took Sony almost 2 years to give the VRR update so I guess insomniac had a lot for time to testing it, they didn't just made it in one day timeline. lol.

I thought from the reviewers that most of the problems was fixed with the day one patch! Eventually that was a lie, I didn't bought the game for my ps4pro and i'm glad, Waiting for all this issues to be fixed.

Big and empty world? really? wtf? how many ours did you spend on the game? I'm closing 50 ours chapter 5 now and I really can't stop playing it! 5/10 is not fair and your arguments on the review are not justified. Yes the game needed more polish and it has some performance issues even on performance mode! But it's not an AAA title from a Sony Studio with unlimited budget! The game shines on World art and graphics, Story, music, tactical combat, and overall mechanics. The weapon's updates with rune's is brilliant. The world isn't just empty as you said, with your cat you can search every corner of it to find items, chest's and receipts for crafting to fulfill the fantastic crafting system and to build more powerfull weapons. User scores for the game on Steam are very positive for this game! and 89% of google users. wtf is wrong with journalist reviewers this days? Anyway....always check on them guys when a game interesting you. A reviewers opinion isn't a Gospel.

@Agramonte agreed, solo has some issues with the AI, co op is the way to go till they patched it, from the developers in pach notes they are aware of the AI problem in solo, so a patch will be on the way. I played the game almost 40 ours till now and i only had 1 or 2 disconnects in multiplayer, way better than outriders at the start imo.

A very nice game from a small studio, it has some issues that must be fixed but overal it will give you a good time with a good multiplayer. Didn't know it will be patched for split sceen, this is awesome....

The game is amazing for it's kind. Truly amazing atmosphere, a very strong story, good and clever puzzles, and an amazing story ending. It's not a difficult game overall....this and outridrers for me are the surprises till now in the generation. I was starting to play them with very low expectations and I get stacked with them till the end.
The only issues I have encountered was minor popin textures on the item's at the inventory. For maximum game experience you should play the game at night with headset, the atmosphere is amazing.
