Re: PS5 Doesn't Support Save Transfers via USB

Yeah this is very weird, it's either a very basic oversight or an active decision to be anti-user friendly when the infrastructure is clearly there. I'm used to these sorts of things being a lifelong nintendo fan, but it doesn't make them any less frustrating!

Started playing Sekiro last week and am absolutely loving it. Combat is incredibly tight and exciting, and it's just such a satisfying game to play. I just beat the blazing bull and am in Ashina Castle, so still quite early on, but I'm having a blast. I'm absolutely going to get Bloodborne after I've finished this!

Re: Mark Wahlberg Gives Us Our First Glimpse of Sully in the Uncharted Movie

BranJ0

I seem to be one of the few people who thought Holland looked great as young Drake in the promo photo a few days back, and Wahlberg looks alright here too, but like you said, the accent is the worrying part! I'm getting more confidence about this movie though, which is worrying considering the horrific track record of video game movies!

Still playing astrobot on PSVR, and it still brings me an unbelievable amount of joy. I'm on world 4 currently, but keep on swapping between doing a few levels and then doing a few challenges to keep things fresh! Can't wait to see what the rest of the game has in store for me!

Besides that, I bought crypt of the necrodancer and mark of the ninja for £2 each on a sale, and I'm enjoying both of them, but neither are blowing me away, probably just not my sorts of games!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 344

I recently bought Astrobot on PSVR, and whilst I haven't had a lot of time to play games lately, the small amount of this game that I've played I have LOVED. I just finished world 2, and the minecart level made my jaw drop the entire way through. The game looks gorgeous, is so inventive, plays so well and gives me the most 'pure joy' I've had from any game in a longgg time!

Re: Soapbox: Let's Give Activision a Bit of Credit, Yeah?

BranJ0

As much as I love Nintendo, they deserve all the flack they're getting for these Mario releases. But what's sad is that everyone, including me, will buy them because they want nostalgia or to experience them for the first time (I'm the latter). N sane trilogy and reignited trilogy have FAR more work put into them, and were released at a much cheaper price than the mario 3d all stars. Nintendo really put in the minimum amount of effort this time

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 337

I finished the Last of us Part 2 late last night, and it was phenomenal. Loved every second of it, and I won't be able to stop thinking about its story for months. Because of that, I'm not really in the mood to play any games, so will either read or watch television and just let this game sink in!

Re: Resident Evil 7 Becomes the Best-Selling Game in the Series

BranJ0

@OMG_Waffles I think I might go for it, I've heard nothing but amazing things about it! I'm tossing between it and Resident Evil 4 though, I've always wanted to try 4 just because it's been a classic for so long!

Shame about RE 3 remake, but I've got enough resident evil games to keep me preoccupied before the price goes down!

Re: Resident Evil 7 Becomes the Best-Selling Game in the Series

I played this a couple of months ago in VR. My first VR game, first resident evil game (first horror game full stop actually!) and I was going in completely blind. I completely fell in love with this game. The VR was so immersive, I was absolutely terrified, but even then I just found this game to be an absolute joy to play, and is my favourite game I've played this year! I'm now considering getting a few more resident evil games and trying them out!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 331

I finished off Resident Evil 7 last night on VR, which was absolutely phenomenal, I had no idea I was going to adore it as much as I did! Best game I've played this year for sure.

I just invested in some move controllers to go with my PSVR, so I tested them out with London Heist and was blown away! I got them with Iron Man VR, which I'm going to start at some point today - I can't wait!

Re: Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory Comes to PS4 Later This Year

BranJ0

I just think, with every new entry, they're steadily going to lose more and more members of the fanbase. I haven't played a Kingdom Hearts game, although my brother has played them all, and from what I understand, KH3 was meant to be the definitive and ultimate conclusion to all of the games so far, but now they're just continuing it, making it more and more confusing. It's completely daunting to me, since I have limited time and don't want to have to play 14 different main title games, spin offs and mobile games to even understand the plot. I feel like a soft reboot is sorely needed

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 328

BranJ0

I've invested in a PSVR, and still absolutely blown away by it. I started playing Resident Evil 7 on it yesterday, which is not only my first resident evil game, but my first horror video game, and I'm experiencing it all in VR! It's an absolutely terrifying experience so far, but really incredible, I can't wait to play more!

Re: Talking Point: Do You Agree with PS5's Approach to Generations?

BranJ0

It's a tricky balancing act between pushing forward and not abandoning your old console's player base overnight. I'm more on Sony's side here, as I think if they commit to next gen exclusives they'll be far more impressive and catch people's attention a lot more than the half-step Xbox seems to be doing. It'll be interesting to see if this sways people to switch to xbox/playstation though.

Re: Marvel's Avengers War Table Livestream Confirmed for 24th June

BranJ0

@No_Cartridge Yeah, it doesn't sound like it's going to be for me - games as a service do nothing for me, and I find it frequently to be an excuse to release games lacking in any meaningful content. It's such a shame, because I love marvel, and if they made a cinematic game like some of Sony's exclusives e.g. God of War, this could've been a masterpiece. As it stands, I think I'm going to give this a miss

Re: Marvel's Avengers War Table Livestream Confirmed for 24th June

BranJ0

This should be one of the most hyped up games of the past 5 years considering how many people love Marvel at the moment, but it feels like no one can care less. This could still be amazing, but everything I hear about it just makes me groan. Maybe they'll change my opinion around with this though!
