look at a graph of inflation over the last 20 years, then compare it to the increase in video games over the same period. Game prices have actually increased at a slower rate. These are profit driven businesses and their cogs has skyrocketed. They'll think of any way they can to extract more from the users. Just like every-other industry. This isn't some special or unique situation
These are the devs who had a poster of joseph stalin on their office wall. Not kidding. Probably one of the few historical leaders more evil than Hitler. That story in itself is probably 100 times more alarming than any social issue you will ever hear a games journalist write about
@PegasusActual93 I dont follow. Are you under the impression that every single one of these star wars remasters done by Aspyr have been from studios that are still in existence today? I'd guess its more of a Nintendo license thing, since they were intertwined with development and publishing those games
My all time gaming dream would be a remaster of Factor 5's rogue leader from gamecube. But i think Nintendo is involved with the rights, so probably wont ever happen
For all the people complaining about it not be necessary. Just don't buy it, we don't care, and Sony doesn't care. Save us your lectures. There's obviously profit incentive for them
3 games I'd love to learn the release dates of, that we haven't heard shyt from in forever:
1. Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake
2. Crimson Desert
3. Alaloth: Champions of the four kingdoms
Hell yeah. Day one purchase for me. Devs are leaving money on the table not making physical editions. Lots of sales in regions outside the US are primarily physical
@IronMike because their market research experts with PhDs running price elasticity models, know the demand is high enough to get away with that price, and they have a fiduciary responsibility to extract as much profit for their shareholders as possible
Why do some of you want to get rid of physical games. What is the advantage of less choice? I'm always buying used games at a fraction of the price, made some good money selling a few too
@Soulless666 Only digitally. But like @Flaming_Kaiser said, hopefully they release it physically as a complete edition, like they did for Witcher III GOTY
@CutchuSlow Right now Sony is beta testing server streaming directly to the Project Q without even having your PS5 running. Which would make it totally different than just a remote play app like phones can use currently
That's a false equivalence. Lots of games have normal day one patches without issues. I guess I'm in a hurry because the game looks incredible and it's been 7 years since the last one!
The Music in this game is still incredible, enjoying every minute of it. I recommend anyone go check out the intro video to the DS Remake, soooo cool. Imagine if they remade the whole game to look like that!
The way Square opened up physical pre-orders abruptly in the middle of the night for the US made me loose alot of respect for them. Sold out immediately. Way to piss off your biggest market
Im pretty pumped for this game, I hope the platinum is hard. The world sortve reminds me of running around in FFXII. Which I guess makes sense if that games art director and creative director worked on this one

@Areus yeah I have it also. Although if I'm being honest, I save scummed a bit to get it

@Areus Their last title on PlayStation had a trophy for playing on the hardest difficulty, and not dying even a single time.

@CutchuSlow I have no idea, they haven't announced anything official about that yet. But that would be pretty awesome
Re: PS5's Remote Play Portable Appears to Leak Online
@CutchuSlow I imagine you'd at least need a PS5 profile with games purchased at some point that you can log in and access. You also would need a PS Plus Premium membership. Here's the article: https://www.engadget.com/sony-is-testing-ps5-game-cloud-streaming-for-ps-plus-premium-users-181027926.html?src=rss
