Re: The Last of Us: Part I PS5 Trailer Gives Us Our First Taste of Naughty Dog's Remake

JJ2

@PoeticJustice
Exactly!
The characters being likeable and relatable was key. Also the enjoyable story making sense and calling for intelligent discussion.
I think any father could relate to Joel in the original.
Instead in part 2 I think they got presumptuous in wanting you to hate these characters and then reflect on your hatred in some mind bending teaching experience from what I gather. Then complain about gamers hate in denial (of what they what they were aiming for in the first place).

Re: Sony Leaks The Last of Us: Part I for PS5, Launching 2nd September

JJ2

@OrtadragoonX
Respectfully disagree. Joel was great in the original.
Already there was too much unjustified hate for the character. (I believe they picked up on it and found a good idea if he became a villain) With what they made of him in part 2 I fear indeed they’ll make him a horrible character. Joel was as in the original, one of the best iconic PS character and an absolute badass regarding gameplay.
They’ll also probably make those fanatic fireflies and their mengele look like heros.
And they ll go full on with the ridiculous take of Ellie being a chosen one whereas the original let room for rational explanation.

Re: Rumour: God of War Ragnarok Delayed into 2023, Say European Sources

JJ2

@NEStalgia
Yea right. A broken clock can be right and Yadi yada.
They just need to calm down with rumours right and left and wait for official announcement.(which is very soon I think)
Literally a few hours before there was an article on IGN saying ‘confirmed’ this September

Re: Project M Is a Ridiculously Good Looking Unreal Engine 5 Game Coming to Consoles

JJ2

English version would be nice.
I appreciate mention of Detroit because it was a superb game. Very underrated because of naive or woke critics who didn’t understand much of the story. Even push review didn’t know the difference between android and cyborg and thought androids similar faces were a bad thing when the whole point was appearance doesn’t matter 🙄.

Re: Soapbox: I Really Miss E3

JJ2

With all due respect.
I don’t miss it at all. It’s typical reporters saying it was great but failing to report on the full show floor when it was there. Only reporting on pre E3 conferences and disregarding important info because they were a few minutes before the conference.
Oh yeah I get it was very cool to get all those pointless clickbaits about ‘who is going to win E3’ ‘Who won E3?’ ‘Why did Sony failed to win E3?’ Etc etc. (Jesus I’m so glad the press were forced to stop that crap) pretending it was only about the conference smoke and mirror and ‘pacing’ circus.
plus marathon sleepless nights to keep up were awful.
(Of course nostalgia makes things seem better than they were but it wasn’t that great really. Too much fluff in so little time. It would factually have been better if each publisher had their event spread)

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Games for June 2022?

JJ2

@Flaming_Kaiser
Your right a lot of people on this site are NEVER happy. However I don’t blame them. I even don’t blame any subscription/console/platform warriors. It’s cool if people feel better expressing whatever they want. Im all for freedom of expression.
I’d blame Push for not seeing the forest for the tree and being content with their usual negativity about everything PS. This site is pushing people to be negative without reason and gaming is a rare place people in the world can unit in entertainment and have fun together in these sad times.
Most PS gamers are still on PS4 and don’t visit this site. (And don’t sub to rental service). It’s a recurrent issue with gaming reporting focusing on a loud minority because that’s where they get their clicks from.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Games for June 2022?

JJ2

Let me get this stray so Push was ‘pushing’ people to be unhappy because of the rental subscription that you call ‘higher tier’ whereas this is the usual base ps+ that millions of PS4 gamers have. (As opposed to the other services)
Talk about being narrow minded. It’s cool that all PS4 gamers get GOW to KEEP in their library forever. And I’m %100 sure the majority of gamers couldn’t care less about the ‘higher tier’ rental services.

Edit
Yeah No. A push poll doesn’t mean much.

Re: Sony and Bungie Will Create a Live Service Centre of Excellence Once Acquisition Closes

JJ2

@AdamNovice
There’s also Bungie new IP that strangely Push doesn’t want to acknowledge. Haven studio is making 2 or 3 games projects 1 of which is GaaS. Deviation new IP I suspect is Sony IP. And a few others but I think there’s some ‘platform’ war fud and mind game going on with the negativity. I don’t believe everyone is as silly as to think Sony will stop doing SP story driven games. Heck they even insisted that’s their strength and doubling down on new IPs.

Re: Looks Like Sony Will Stop Making PS4 Games by 2025

JJ2

@torne
I agree with you but there’s no point trying to reason with the internet. It’s like when people were complaining about indies at the beginning of PS4 gen or about VR games.
People are often just expressing an emotional state with no real logic.

Re: The Callisto Protocol No Longer Part of the PUBG Universe

JJ2

What I’m interested to know is how it plays. I really like the way you can easily switch from third person to first person view while aiming and back which makes for an enjoyable gunplay / gameplay and a pro consumer option that should be more common in most games.
FPS only games feel awful to me. 🤢

Re: South Korean Rating for God of War Ragnarok Suggests News Is Incoming

JJ2

@KidBoruto
Yes. I mean I don’t see why a September event would be a problem. The way I see it is State of Play is for games coming very soon like Stray and GOWR
PS event like future of gaming is more for games starting next year and beyond so whether it’s shows in June, July, August or September doesn’t really matter, does it?

Re: PS5 Pro Touted for 2023 by TV Company, But Seems Highly Unlikely

JJ2

@WallyWest
Morning man. Not really at you there and just chilling.
I think what people go on about resolution these days is misleading though because they talk about (dynamic) resolution scaling. I feel resolution scaling on Xbox has been less performant than on PS (like sluggish, not aggressive enough ) and that’s one reason PS5 has had consistently better framerate but slightly less resolution in a few cases. So a better resolution average isn't always a good thing.
In any case it’s clear a console isn’t about tflop but a complex puzzle where all the pieces come together. Even Spencer, the tflop hype master, admitted so when the xb1x was revealed. Even more so this generation with the PS5.
I’m not an expert and not a tech guy at all. Just using common sense and information here.

Re: Spider-Man Games Could Have Been Exclusive to Xbox

JJ2

@NEStalgia
Still with your fantasy I see. 😅
Well we could talk about ‘Kennedy vs USSR’ (which I already disagree on the therm you put on many levels) and what came from that period of time with strong personalitieS on both sides actually. I’m sure we have different opinions but really have not the time and not the place to do so 😂
Silly analogies are bad ideas and dont get anywhere most of the time.
