@LiamCroft Oh I didnt guess you’d take it this way as I was being just straightforward. I’m honestly lost on what I can say here these days. Take care.
@LiamCroft Good morning man. Actually I was in a sad mood with all the grim serious news we get (not gaming unimportant news) but this Mochizuki article made me smile. I totally understand push reporting this. However wouldn’t you say there isnt any news of substance? Production started last month there’s no issue yet. (Today is 3rd). Okay then 🤷🏼♂️ Is he in Jim Ryan’s head to know how many unit produced next year already ? Even Jim Ryan may not know yet. M just said production just started. And he would know that already 🙄 Sorry to question it but the man has a history of questionable rumours.
Typical exclusive Mochizuki news: Production started a few days ago and hasn’t met any issue yet the people familiar said. Sony is planning to produce bs number in vague window next year.
You can bet in a few month he’ll have exclusive news that Sony either doubled or cut by half production number. 🤣
@Snake_V5
Totally agree with you. Companies like Ms do act like it’s the future and have a vision for 2 billion gamers. The reality is (game) streaming is and will be niche (or casual) for a very long time as a matter of fact and evidence like this. Nobody can predict the long term future though so that wouldn’t even be a reasonable long term claim.
‘When you talk about Nintendo and Sony, we have a ton of respect for them, but we see Amazon and Google as the main competitors going forward,” he said. “That’s not to disrespect Nintendo and Sony, but the traditional gaming companies are somewhat out of position’
Nice. I’m not even interested in the game but it’s cool to bring attention to some interesting stuff on PS Blog that I/we often forget to check out. I like how they use the DualSense and Id like to see that in every game. Even with the DS4 I liked when they used the special features so now it’s doubling down on new gen features. Ignore the console warriors and keep reporting on awesome PS5 features. 👍🏻
Even in the aftermath of COVID people still believe it makes sense that’s how you make a ‘CuRe’ ?
Examine your best ‘specimen’ (the best they found yet) in an hour or so and then decide you got to butcher her in a ‘scientific’ way?
And that (in the first game) somehow despite all the clues, the fireflies aren’t a bunch of cynical mercenaries in a cult with a mengele doc?
Jeez
Show floor needs it’s own focus and coverage. Livestream ‘pre E3 conferences’ were just overshadowing it completely ; so much that hardly anyone cared about the actual event.
@liljazzy2
Good morning.
I agree with how you qualify ND attitude. It’s like the opposite of the first game. First game felt open and humble in that it let the audience free to fill the plot blanks and to use their brain to figure out the right from the wrong in the games world context.
Part 2 seems more like trying to force a message through a ham fisted story and looking down on anyone who doesn’t like it.
This is definitely a very good trailer. I honestly have no idea how the story will end up here in the show ; either making sense and positive with likeable characters or full of plot holes and trying to be Freud 🤔
I like the game’s setting but probably not going to watch a tv show unless it brings something new and exciting (but not dark and making no sense).
Strongly disagree and I didn’t play 2.(because it’s story driven is what motivates to play)
Fact is TLOU is mostly popular because of the story. It’s all about the story first, then the rest.
Other fact for TLOU people can’t talk about the story forever. It’s ambiguous enough to get the conversation going.
2 there not much to talk about honestly. They tell you this is how it goes and you need learn that and experience this for your own mental good because they know better and that’s it.
It’s a different game contradicting the first ones story that was actually making sense. They r going for the chosen one theme but weirdly not doing anything with it.
No discussion possible apart from saying you like it or not.
@PegasusActual93
I love the PS5 look. Tbh it’s better people have divided opinions than being indifferent. It’s proof of a stylish design.
I think passionate gamers want a machine with stylish design and not something that is dull.
When I first saw SX next to a PS5 in a shop I saw a fat rectangular fire log next to the PS5 and bigger than people pretend. Honest haha
The seller was telling me ‘look how big the PS5 is’. I just said they are different. It’s tall and the other one is fat. That’s the truth.
Edit
I much prefer the standard disc than the digital only one. More curves is great 👍🏻
@JustPlainLoco Hi. Of course I personally would like to know everything haha Jesus people sometimes. We already know most of what’s planned for next year. I think there’s a show but if there isn’t it doesn’t matter. There are even some deranged people console warring or doing victory laps because that console managed to sell a few more last week in one region on Wednesday between 12 and 1 pm. With the grim news these days I always try be positive about my gaming. Bought splatoon 3 for kid so she’ll leave my PS5 alone haha Have a lovely gaming weekend.
@JustPlainLoco
Hi there. Very good post.
I don’t understand the whole ‘we demand to see the RoAdMaP’ thingy. Seems to be a trending phrase these days.
(And then people complain on and on that the announced games get delayed )
😅
@get2sammyb
Fair enough reporting on leaks. However it can be done with caution without haste and bringing attention on the negative aspect of it every time (as opposed to glorifying it, yes I’ve read here how amazingly ‘accurate’ or ‘good track record’ they have) and not publicise the leaker. How about that latest amazing new PS5 model plans leak huh?
One of the rare case when second hand information referring to another site as a source rather than to the primary source is better.
Fair enough. Where I feel uncomfortable is some well known journalist/insiders get their scoops from dozens of devs breaking NDA and then acting all virtue signalling. That’s no better.
Only the press is quick on hammering random nobody YouTubers but shy when it’s about game industry celebs
Edit
Also yeah, the hypocrisy.
How many clickbait do we get all year long and eagerly reporting, kinda glorifying whatever juicy ‘news’ insider x says. Lately it’s was the snitch or something.
Which is it? (Attitude about insiders)
@get2sammyb The press didn’t help that feeling with misreporting, for example, on ‘we believe in generation’ butchered quotes, or Road to PS5 complete messed up reports. Or making a drama even of the absence of demagogic communication as if it’s a big deal for a gaming console. With all due respect.
There’s a big difference between base ps plus games that you keep forever in your library and rental sub for some random games that leave after a few months. The best value is clear to me.
Rocket league was one of the best example on how long you want to play a good game.
Not interested in random rental at all
@thejoesenone
Yeah. Sony restructured PlayStation just before this gen starts. Scott rhode used to be one of the names in America. Shu was in charge of ps studio and now hermen Hulst got his post. Shu in charge of indies now and I think it’s very good move.
There’s no PR person like Shawn Layden used to be. I get that some people miss that but I personally really don’t care much about PR and I prefer the straightforward talk than constant contradiction aka Phil Spencer.
I think it’s a sign of the times people like demagogy talks but I guess I’m too old of that sort haha
There’s no good meme on Twitter. They are all cringe by default. Unfortunately that’s how some people get their info without having to make an effort trying to use their brain.

Tbh I don’t know why people always compare SL to JR. they don’t have the same job. I’m actually not sure what SLayden job really was. I know he was in charge of PR and PS showcase. It’s funny you mention doom and quake because it’s when those games released that I first had my experience with that perspective. @PegasusActual93 Hi there. Good morning. Everyone is different and has different perspective. For me first person is like driving a tank with a small rectangle as a perspective (being aware of the TV) moving the turret with the stick to slowing turn your head. It feels so silly (to me) that it makes me sick. At least in VR you turn your head naturally. In real life there’s peripheral vision which is somehow rendered by third person larger view and seeing the character allows to detach from seeing the TV as a narrow view. That is how I feel. Once again everyone is different and all feelings are fine. The real pro consumer attitude is to allow every mode to make it more accessible. That should be for every game. This article is about third person so it’s naturally pleasing people who prefer that mode whereas it’s the other way round in articles about first person. Both are fine and it’s cool to make everyone happy. 😅
@thefourfoldroot1 Nowadays people get so brainwashed with the ‘advantage’ of all digital and always online subs that they don’t realise the used games market isnt dead …yet.
