@Cloud7794
And that doesn’t contradict at all what I said (I.e. the studio of course management to fix it) Employees bringing attention to issues (in any industry or even any part of gaming industry not just devs) aren’t what is about here. In any case, a lot of noise focusing on the gaming industry (here virtue signalling) whereas the consumer aspect has less focus.
They are two different things.
When you hear them talk about their potential customers it’s often to complain or look down on them.
When Ellie is half drown and Joel is trying to resuscitate her, those fanatics come up and just knock him out without any respect for either of them. Joel wakes up and learns Ellie is going to be butchered by some crazy random surgeon with some crazy theory about getting a cure out of her brain and don’t even have the decency to let her prepare herself to leave this world. A world that waited 20 years but, somehow, instead of trying proper science and study her for a while ye know, went for non sense rush in the next hour to try squeeze a child’s brain in the hope of getting something out of it because she is the best specimen they could find after failing with other specimen before.
It feels weird that at the time my daughter was just a toddler but now she s about the same age as Sarah and Ellie. People saying Joel was ‘selfish’ are out of their mind. I hope they don’t change the original facts.
@Cutmastavictory
This is the only comment I will read and I agree. I’m not interested in the game. Some people pretend not to be interested but moan about the price. Doing so they are telling ND that they want the game day 1 and that they were right to (re)make it.
🤷🏼♂️
I didn’t vote because the wording ‘cash grab’ is unnecessary and meant to be insulting. I’m appalled that Push is forcing it in a vote.
The game IS unnecessary and pointless. However it definitely has a public. I consider it a non needed luxury that some gamers may be interested in. Just like those pricey collector and crappy statues costing a fortune.
To people not happy I say PLEASE don’t buy it. Don’t be just annoying big mouth and let this flop 🤷🏼♂️
(It’s not like you couldn’t wait for a better time down the line for something unnecessary or which is it?)
@AdamNovice
I think it started as an initiative (like a demo showcase) from a few devs and Sony just gave them funds to see where they go with it. They sort of put their finger in it and then couldn’t backtrack anymore. That’s how I feel it.
I just feel sorry for ND the studio. These last few years they lost a lot of public good will (and I don’t mean sales) partly for being obtuse and snarky in their interaction with the public. Yes there are some idiotic harassment or insult from weirdos but that’s not to mean disregarding any criticism as ‘hate’ and pretend they are above the common people is a normal attitude towards their potential customers.
Problems like crush should be their own internal issues to solve and not some sort of virtue signalling in a gaming industry focused on their own interest rather than the publics.
Better face criticism and admit some games are controversial while acknowledging a normal scepticism from the public. Some games aren’t for everyone and, while it’s fine, it’s best to be clear and honest about it.
@Akurusu
Well I see it as a consumer pointless and overpriced luxury product that most people don’t need to buy.
🤷🏼♂️
I don’t get the outrage for something I couldn’t care less. Maybe people care and want to get their hands on it at launch? It may seem narrow minded on my part but I don’t get it and not sure why they need it. Don’t buy it then. Don’t encourage more remasters and pointless remakes. Or if you really want it asap and can’t wait for a second hand copy then go for it but I don’t get the whining.
It’s not like a dlc that should be in the main game and is pure robbery like Spider-man dlcs.
Edit
I have the idea that it started as a personal project that was well underway with Sony funds when they realised it was about pointless. They then want to get their pointless investment back.
@z0d15g0d Oh yes. I was just limiting my comment to gaming news. World more serious news is another approach definitely as you need to have a bigger picture instead of looking through a microscope so to speak
@z0d15g0d
I think a good principle is always to check the primary source. A lot of the press quote (or misquote) secondary source when they don’t straight copy paste what other colleagues posted (or worse: they quote Twitter celebs as primary) without even checking themselves.
Usually good sites post the primary source link that unfortunately you have to check being the only way even if it takes time.
Sometimes it can be daunting and a good example was the Cerny road to ps5 that many reporters, I believe, couldn’t take the time to listen many times to understand but instead just quoted Digital Foundry/ Eurogamer which was full of misinformation.
Here the mistake is quite obvious and shocking so it’s easily noticeable.
I often watch the ‘preposterous eight-minute sequence’ when launching the game (except for when rest mode from a championship).
The only bit I feel disappointed with is the adaptive triggers I feel could have been used more significantly.
I’m having such a great time with the game. Under appreciated and somewhat swept under the rug by the media for some reason whereas it’s one of the best games of the year up there with Elden Ring for me.
Lucky you playing with that wheel 😛👍🏻
I don’t know where this hatred for cats is coming from ; if it’s be some human evil side projection like in the dark ages of blaming the Black Death (or any evil) on them or just getting attention. I feel cats bring some positivity and happiness into this world and that must count for something.
I’m not interested in playing it even if it were free. I think it’s a pointless remake. People calling a game (Dlcs is different) a cash grab are deliberately meant to insult the devs though. Good morning. It’s funny because I got GT7 at launch but I got hooked by ER so it was the reverse for me. Now I’m hooked on GT7 though.
When I played DS series I checked fightingCowboy the YouTuber. He’s cool at explaining the basic if you need.

‘So it’s possible that you may not have…’
You definitely read my comment wrong. (It was more trying to help btw)
I’m not against criticism either as long as people are allowed to express their opinion freely too (with all due respect of course)
Anyway have a lovely day 😅
@add286
Morning man. I hope your comment wasn’t meant for me because (in my intent anyway) I was meant to be very respectful. It is true that the game may be approached in different ways that can be more or less impactful to personal enjoyment but that only concerns (said for) the player for their own good. 😅
I’m saying it with respect and tolerance. Some people love some games and some people don’t like the same games. There’s no truth about any given games. It’s all personal perspective and that’s why review scores are meaningless. You are only one of millions who find out they don’t like a game other people love. Well that’s too bad 🤷🏼♂️
This story could be posted about any game.
I think you should have played Dark Soul series before because ER is more alike and Bloodborne is too different (and less rpg style).
Edit
Yea I think that’s what I really like in it. In my view it’s really RPG in that extending in the way you play just how you like it. Not like so called rpg that force you to a given play style or poor combat (TW3) and a given character.
So it’s possible that you may not have approached the game in the way that would have made it the most enjoyable for yourself.

‘So it’s possible that you may not have…’
You definitely read my comment wrong. (It was more trying to help btw)
I’m not against criticism either as long as people are allowed to express their opinion freely too (with all due respect of course)
Anyway have a lovely day 😅

Morning man. I hope your comment wasn’t meant for me because (in my intent anyway) I was meant to be very respectful. It is true that the game may be approached in different ways that can be more or less impactful to personal enjoyment but that only concerns (said for) the player for their own good. 😅
Re: Soapbox: I Tried So Hard to Like Elden Ring, But I Just Couldn’t Do It
I’m saying it with respect and tolerance.
