Is there a plot point that the Freakers vision is based on movement or something? Because during a stealthy bit there they were looking right at me but not rushing me?
Couple of hours in and I'm really enjoying it. Handling the bike will take a bit of getting used to. Testing the Freakers detection system just now. If they are feeding on something they don't seem to be aware your there.
I think the open world game these days suffers more from its genre being overpopulated rather than if its a good experience. I'm bored to tears from Multiplayer games and prefer these types of games, despite their similarities. Pre ordered it digitally, can't wait to play it. Sammy's review sounds well rounded, a 7 is far more positive than some of the other reviews floating around out there. Words in other reviews include "mediocre", "bland" etc. The only bit I'm concerned with is that there are apparently forced repetitive stealth bits that are quite hard?
Nope. Not for me. No trophy support and not inspired by the choice of games. Also, nostalgia clouds the mind I feel, sometimes. Bought Max Payne last Xmas from PS store, loved that game at the time, but jeez, was it a chore to play that game again. Similarly, I thought half of the games on Sega Mega Drive Classics where awful today, looking at them as a 41 year old that played them back in the day. Golden Axe still ruled though! 😂
6 hours clocked of gameplay.... Really enjoying it. One brief moment of jerkyness whilst exploring a caravan during a quest, other than that, no lag, no framerate drop, no crashes, no problems. Would be good if there where NPC interactions, but it's not like there isn't anything to do or locations to explore. Personal opinion I suppose. Although I do appreciate this is my opinion of a game that I paid £26 for after patches.
My Black Friday copy (£26 free p&p) finally arrived today. 5 hour download of V 1.02 weighing in at 52gb finished after 5 hour download. Now taking ages to install. Having said that, I'm very curious to see how it plays. Loved Fallout 4 for all its faults unashamedly, so for £26 I'm willing to take a punt.
Each to their own, but I prefer solo campaigns over PvP multilayer. COD ruined the whole MP thing for me, particularly with the first Black Ops, where not only did you have the usual mix of idiots ( very) young and old screaming obscenities and bile throughout the match, but we where also treated to some of the most disturbingly horrific and frequently racist player emblems after giving these cretins the ability to design their own. The last of us, Far Cry 4, Borderlands Handsome Collection are games which I've played over the last year which have both, and because they have that choice I bought them - SW Battlefront leaves me no choice, so no sale for me.
@themcnoisy Atari kind of did it back in '89 with Hard Drivin'. The cabinet had an ignition key and clutch if you chose to drive manual. Pretty realistic for its time - we'll, apart from driving up a giant loop da loop!!😜
If it came with a Pre-order Ford Falcon Interceptor or MFP vehicle, I would have been hooked without a review, massive fan of the films. But, as long as it gets a solid 7+ from Pushsquare, that'll be good enough for me.
I like the "Magnum Opus " car building feature, hopefully you can make/get a skin for both the MFP and Last of The V-8's Interceptor versions of the Ford Falcon from the original film('s). Love the trilogy, hope this is good. 😀
@Splat Done, and yup Splat, saw that too and thought the same thing. Rarely comment, but visit Pushsquare every day because I think it's great, but no way I'd pay for it in any way, shape, or form.
Personally, between watching a play through or reading a review of a game, I'd go for the latter every time, especially when we're fortune enough to have the unbiased reviews that I believe we get from Pushsquare. The reviews of games such as Destiny and The Order which should have been "Game Changers" for the PS4 have been spot on IMO.
Downloaded update, kicked from PSN. As people have been saying, the difference now with all these network outages on PS4 network is that the majority of PS4 owners are ps+ subscriber's. I'd never "jump ship" but it's really starting to get on my t!ts now. Wait ages for a half decent firmware update ( and that's being generous) and it brings the whole lot down.
Absolutely raging about Infinity! Bought 1.0 for the kid's PS3 for £70 plus an additional £10 for an extra figure last year and now they are looking for another outlay for the Marvel pack and you can't play Marvel characters on the original Hub!!! Total swizz! As disappointed as the kids are no way!
Finally breaking free from Apple and getting a Z3 in November when my contract runs out, and can't wait. Looking forward to the PS4 remote play with it.
After I voted ( at 18.10 ), I saw the results and thought "Woah, Little Big Planet 3's getting a lotta love!" with 40% Then I realised it got 2 out of 5 votes! 😜
I would be pretty disappointed if Troy Baker didn't at least get to audition for TLoU film. I know he's only 38 but that's easily fixed with make up, prosthetics etc.He IS Joel. Failing that, Josh Brolin would be good.
I'm enjoying Destiny I've got to say, BUT I'm slightly disappointed the campaign as it where is 10 hours. Concentrating mostly on that just now, but what little I've played of the Crucible doesn't really interest me as it's a bit boring IMO. Don't regret buying it, but I'm thankful I didn't commit to a Season Pass. So far a good enough game, but not a game changer.
Will be even better when my PS4 first of all matches and then surpasses all the features I bought a PS3 for - USB media support, MP3 support, DNLA, folders, etc.........
Almost a year down the line and the PS4 STILL doesn't have USB stick compatibility to put your own media on it. Thankfully still have my PS3 for that but that's in the kids room now so not really practical. Some might think it smacks of arrogance on the part of Sony that it's taking so long to introduce ( along with DNLA ) because despite loads of people asking for it, Sony appear to not listen and regard it as not that important. Oh well, there will be probably be another 5 "stability" firmware updates before then. LOL
This will be the first COD that I won't be pre-ordering after the totally underwhelming Ghosts. It'll take rave reviews to convince me to purchase and a return to the form of MW2 at least, and wether or not I'll still be playing TLoU and Destiny at that point.

Re: Rocksteady Rules Out Appearance at The Game Awards 2018
Without Nerfing Supes Its difficult to imagine an interesting Superman game, and I love the character.

Re: Now Sony's Asking Which PS2 Games You Want on PS4
@Furmanow
You picked two of my absolute favourites mate, Max Payne and The Punisher. Rarely enjoyed playing a game as much as Punisher. 😀
Re: Now Sony's Asking Which PS2 Games You Want on PS4
@Liam1894
Was that Manhunt? Never played it but I remember the absolute sh*t storm it created in the media.
Re: Review: Kung Fury: Street Rage (PS4)
Anyone seen the 30 min kickstarter/fan film that this game is a spin off from?? Amazing, complete with theme song by The Hoff!! 😀

Re: Soapbox: You Should Stop Pre-Ordering Games
Never pre-ordered many games, but like a few have already said, Destiny has put me off doing for good.

Re: Destiny's Getting Some Very Positive Changes, Not Just for DLC Buyers
Too late. I did really like Destiny when it dropped, but just not enough to keep me playing despite really good gunplay, but DLC was too expensive.

@get2sammyb Bonheur, this is Scotland calling Sammy yup, back up and running for me too mate! 😀
Re: PSN Down as Sony's Servers Feel PS4 Firmware Update 2.00 Strain
@Tasuki Possibly because people want to know if it's a network wide problem or specific to them only, and as for the whining, too bloody right.

Yeah, MW2 was the last really good COD, and Ghosts was just terrible.
