Re: Assassin's Creed Shadows Hasn't Removed Yasuke, But Dev Focused on Historical Accuracy

@GreatAuk It doesn't matter which game it is--Forspoken, AC: Shadows, Banishers, Death Loop, Dustborn, South of Midnight, etc--if there's a black protagonist, its the same vitriolic response. "Woke, DEI, forced diversity". "Go woke go broke". Which is the thinly veiled racists way of saying," too many blacks in my games".

So not baseless at all. If it walks like a racist, quacks like a duck, it's a racist duck.

Re: Top-Down Phenomena Vampire Survivors Confirms Platinum Trophy on PS5, PS4

Paramahansa

@NinjaNicky The "or something" is how much we enjoy a game. The Platinum, or trophy hunting in general, is an integral part of the entire gaming experience for many trophy hunters, like gameplay, story, genre, etc. That's what people who "laugh" at others fail to understand. It's all about being entertained and satisfied with my purchase. That kinda is the point. It brings a slightly psychotic smile to my face whenever I get one. That is far from "useless" and very valuable.

Re: 18 PS5 Predictions for 2024

@Hellaween Yeah, it could be worse. I have to assume Rocksteady showed their best at the preview event but the response has been pretty unflattering. Add to that the unimpressive gameplay footage released today.

Re: PS5 Finally Takes Control of Japanese Charts, As Forspoken Flops

@ATaco Oh, I didn't say YOUR criticism was about race or gender. You're not "fool enough" to talk about it. But let's be honest, the reason people "default" to that is for good reason. All you need do is head to the comment section of any game with a non-male or non-white protagonist and cast and you'll see. Whether that's the Last of Us 2, Forspoken, Saints Row, etc.

And sales doesn't mean that audience isn't buying those games, it could be that audience isn't as big... Yet.

@ATaco When I read your comment, I knew it was something offensive. It's the same type of tripe I see in YouTube comment sections. And I'm sure it's a total coincidence, but I tend to see such remarks whenever the protagonist and main cast are non-male and non-white. "Who are the devs trying to appeal to? That target audience doesn't even play games". So on and so forth...
