Re: Hands On: Resident Evil 4 PS5 Makes a Masterpiece Even Better

RainbowGazelle

I'd say it's a bit premature to claim that the whole game is definitely better off the back of a 30 min demo. It's certainly different, but different isn't always better. The enemies grabbing you every few seconds looks more annoying than fun, for example. I see they're doing a darker atmosphere too, which will certainly distinguish it from the original, but isn't necessarily going to be "better". If you want to play a grittier version of Resi 4, I guess this is the game for you.

Edit: I'd like to ask, does it have gyro aiming? I played the wii version of the original, so if it's sticks only, that would be a downgrade.

Re: Despite Scrapping PS4, Gotham Knights Is Just 30fps on PS5

RainbowGazelle

@Juanalf No, I've never given a toss about frame rates. I mean, yeah, I can see the difference between 60 fps and 30 fps. 60 fps is definitely nicer on the eye, but as long as it isn't stuttering around wildy, I don't see a problem with a lower frame rate. I've survived with lower until now and most of my favourite games of all time don't run at 60 fps. I'm much more interested in the story, gameplay, music, art, world, fun factor, etc. Basing my purchases on the frame rate as the number one deciding factor makes no sense to me.

Re: Assassin's Creed Mirage May Be Rated Adults Only Due to Real Gambling

RainbowGazelle

@WadeIsInsane It's just because you already have the M rating. We only go up to 18 because that's enough. At 18, you're an adult. There's no need for another rating above that.

EDIT: Upon re-reading your comment, I didn't realise M was a suggestion, and that people younger can see/play stuff with adult permission. I guess the AO rating makes more sense now. The PEGI ratings are legally binding here.

Re: Microsoft, Sony Signed Agreement to Keep Call of Duty on PlayStation for 'Several More Years' Beyond Current Contract

RainbowGazelle

'Sony argues the Call of Duty series "influences [a] users' console choice" and wouldn't be "able to rival it" with a game of its own.'

So Sony can't be bothered to try and rival it? Is that right? When Nintendo made an exclusive deal with Capcom to get Final Fight on the SNES, Sega made their own, Streets of Rage for the Mega Drive, to compete. Sony have Killzone and could make other shooters if they wanted to. Are they admitting their games aren't good enough if they "can't compete" with CoD?
