Re: Reaction: PlayStation Showcase 2021 Was Good, But Not Good Enough

RavenWolfe81

But if they showed most of the games in development, people would roast the next showcase saying we already seen all this since that's all they'd have to show still. I only expected to see Deathloop, Horizon, God of War and Gran Turismo today, with a few indies but we got much more.

Considering how showcases have gone since the pandemic started, Sony by far has had the best one.

Re: Bethesda Heard You Want One More Deathloop Trailer Before Launch

RavenWolfe81

I've enjoyed the trailers, I mean they have actual gameplay. Pretty rare thing as even most launch trailers are lazy or just the opening cinematic. At least Arkane's new game is getting advertised. If they didn't do this you all would be upset that Bethesda isn't marketing the game like they did when they screwed over Prey. Or Xbox is forcing them to ignore the game but no.

Re: Soapbox: I Don't Know How to Feel About This PS4-to-PS5 Upgrade Uproar

RavenWolfe81

I don't mind $70 for future exclusive PS5 games as they'll cost more to make. I don't mind paying $20 for an expansion but the extra $10 for cross-gen visual improvement is the problem, to me. Imagine if Steam made you pay $10 per game in order to up your settings when you upgrade your hardware. That'd suck.

I realize that those features are already in the game on pc and with these games, PlayStation has to port them. Still the improvements are minor and if the game focused on PS4 for development, then it didn't cost as much as PS5 games will to make.

Re: Soapbox: GTA: San Andreas Is Still an Open World Classic

Rockstar did it better back in the ps2 era. Yea the games were rough and simplistic looking due to the hardware but I'd take more games over more hyper-realistic simulations any day. It's the stories, missions and scenarios that made GTA great. Like the article says, SA still plays great and much like V. Do we really need to wait years, even a decade for new content?

Re: Talking Point: How Would You Improve PS Plus?

RavenWolfe81

They should remove games from PS+ and have them be their own bundle like Humble Bundle. $12-15 a month or $100 a year and you can choose 5 of say, 8 available games every month to keep forever, like forever forever.

Then they could just fold online multiplayer into the PSNow sub. That way people who just want games aren't forced to pay for online play that they don't want.

Re: Hands On: Back 4 Blood Wears Its Inspiration with Pride

RavenWolfe81

Not for me. I don't like the characters are professional "cleaners" and look like they walked out of a fashion mag. Then the amount of blood that attaches to them is ridiculous but most of all I miss the shove function and I'm not a big fan of ads constantly. It also borrows a lot from current popular games with the cards and buy stations. Idk, I guess I was hoping for a more purist experience.

Re: Sony's PS Plus Subscriber Count Just Dropped for the First Time

RavenWolfe81

It's probably the games. What major multiplayer game do we have that people haven't either played to death, I.e. R6 Siege or Destiny 2 or are fed up with like Warzone.

We have the same games we've had for years and years and while we get a few new ones but they rarely catch on. Splitgate is the most exciting thing going ATM but it's f2p. Maybe things will bounce back with BF 2042.

Re: Dead Space Remake Confirmed for PS5 in Super Short Teaser

Considering Motive seems pretty competent and that they're working with series fans, I actually have high hopes for this. I bet EA does remaster the original trilogy by the the time this releases, too. It would take considerably less work than Mass Effect did, because the games have aged incredibly well.
