But if they showed most of the games in development, people would roast the next showcase saying we already seen all this since that's all they'd have to show still. I only expected to see Deathloop, Horizon, God of War and Gran Turismo today, with a few indies but we got much more.
Considering how showcases have gone since the pandemic started, Sony by far has had the best one.
I've enjoyed the trailers, I mean they have actual gameplay. Pretty rare thing as even most launch trailers are lazy or just the opening cinematic. At least Arkane's new game is getting advertised. If they didn't do this you all would be upset that Bethesda isn't marketing the game like they did when they screwed over Prey. Or Xbox is forcing them to ignore the game but no.
I was wondering how this came to be, I thought they just made The Persistance but no. They're making the PvP skirmish mode for Star Citizen, made Playroom and the VR version and another game or two. Had no idea.
I don't mind $70 for future exclusive PS5 games as they'll cost more to make. I don't mind paying $20 for an expansion but the extra $10 for cross-gen visual improvement is the problem, to me. Imagine if Steam made you pay $10 per game in order to up your settings when you upgrade your hardware. That'd suck.
I realize that those features are already in the game on pc and with these games, PlayStation has to port them. Still the improvements are minor and if the game focused on PS4 for development, then it didn't cost as much as PS5 games will to make.
Ill probably get the special edition if I can, looks great. If not I'll just get the dd a day whenever preloads start. I really don't see a point to preordering a digital version so early.
I dunno, it's not for me but I have quite a few friends who are going to be way more interested in this now once they find out about the cards. Lots of people love card systems in their games, so a Marvel game for them I guess.
Tales of Arise and Kena for sure, for me and if I can beat the first Judgement in time I'll get the sequel but ill probably just get the new LiS. I don't want to buy many games with long play times close to each other.
Hey I want a really good, new multiplayer game that is not a br or cod/bf clone. This could be it! But I mean Splitgate is cool, the Quake remaster is fun online, even Halo and Destiny look to be better than in recent years but none of these feel new. This could be a hit... or not but I guess we'll find out in 2024, probably '25. Sigh.
I think it's funny that people expect Volition to make the ideal Saint's Row game when the series has a spotty reputation to begin with and Volition always just do whatever the hell they want. The social media mob will not get their way here, lol.
Chernobylite's date lines up but so does Bus Simulator. It's probably one of those games but I'd certainly prefer F.I.S.T. but I doubt they'd want to refund the preorders for it.
Means little until they show us some games. They've been doing interviews, speaking in vague corporate lingo for awhile now while not engaging us with showcases much at all. They're taking success for granted.
I love the cinema and narration games but can't we also have groundbreaking multiplayer experiences, too? Is what I'd ask him. They tried with MAG, f.e. but the hardware held it back. The PS4 had a terrible CPU, which mattered then but now with PS5, it is the time to be bold and diversify the lineup.
I'm hesitant to get hyped, it looks too good to be true but I suppose a new DMC on current hardware would have to be equally impressive. That's just amazing.
The campaign of Infinite Warfare. When you're in the mood for some sci-fi fps but the Killzone games languish on PS3 while we get remasters of games that came out in the last year or two.
Sounds great! Had I paid full price for the PS4 version and then had to pay out another $30 for this, I'd be waiting for a sale after watching the DF analysis but I bought the game a few weeks back on sale. I don't mind the upgrade price. Pretty excited!
I've had a great time with the game. It's weird and janky but it's also different and interesting compared to bigger budget, bigger dev team "safe" titles. At least what they promised is there and what's there is impressive for a such a small team.
Rockstar did it better back in the ps2 era. Yea the games were rough and simplistic looking due to the hardware but I'd take more games over more hyper-realistic simulations any day. It's the stories, missions and scenarios that made GTA great. Like the article says, SA still plays great and much like V. Do we really need to wait years, even a decade for new content?
They should remove games from PS+ and have them be their own bundle like Humble Bundle. $12-15 a month or $100 a year and you can choose 5 of say, 8 available games every month to keep forever, like forever forever.
Then they could just fold online multiplayer into the PSNow sub. That way people who just want games aren't forced to pay for online play that they don't want.
What a fail, lol. Imagine the embarrassment they must feel, I almost feel bad for them but with their hijacking of Kojima's legacy to market a game they're unable to show, they deserve it.
@nomither6 Yea, it's too bad TRS no longer sees less is more and would rather copy popular games. No one will grind this for years, it'll be more successful than Evolve but by the time Dying Light 2 hits, it'll be dead.
Not for me. I don't like the characters are professional "cleaners" and look like they walked out of a fashion mag. Then the amount of blood that attaches to them is ridiculous but most of all I miss the shove function and I'm not a big fan of ads constantly. It also borrows a lot from current popular games with the cards and buy stations. Idk, I guess I was hoping for a more purist experience.
What are the chances one is a Midnight Club? Haha slim, yea. Well they have been taking down modders for the ps2 era GTA games so that tells you which 3 games it is.
I enjoyed this on pc and would like to get some trophies for another playthrough. Song of Horror is a bit better of a game imo but this title is at least visually interesting. It's just like most Bloober games in the gameplay department, though. Slow af.
I'm excited for this but I really just want another AAA PlayStation Studios game before I end up having to spend $400-500 again to have the most immersive experience of. So far, only Returnal has really resonated with me in a way I'd expect a next gen game to. Really anticipating next year.
I don't even understand service games. I miss sequels with much improved graphics and tech/mechanics. But yea if you're going to make a game designed to never end and milk it for years at least put in the effort to take advantage of the console's features.
It's probably the games. What major multiplayer game do we have that people haven't either played to death, I.e. R6 Siege or Destiny 2 or are fed up with like Warzone.
We have the same games we've had for years and years and while we get a few new ones but they rarely catch on. Splitgate is the most exciting thing going ATM but it's f2p. Maybe things will bounce back with BF 2042.
If you're going to use Kojima's legacy to market your game, you better be able to direct and write or gtfo. There's like a 1% chance this game, if it is an indie made by a guy who outsources AAA assets with an indie budget, can live up to this.
If that happens then awesome. I don't know what they've done to improve their production since a couple years ago, this kind of thing is not their strong suit but I'd guess everyone there is working on just this and not a new Battlefront, and other EA studios are focusing on it. We'll see.
I wish Dying Light and the Far Cry games were on that list. Wanting to play them again now before the sequels but I doubt Ubi or TL does anything. Have to buy them on my sidekick Series S I guess.
We don't need new fps games like a R6 Siege 2 or Destiny 3, no people are happy with those seasonal iterations, events and chapters. People couldn't possibly be so hungry for something new to play that a fairly generic fps game that was dead on pc is unable to meet demand.
Better than I thought but I think it deserves even more but I knew it wouldn't sell MGS numbers. Don't know why Sony thought it would. I'll be getting the dc version as well.
I'd rather have this than a single player campaign. Outside of the Bad Company games, imo DICE have not made any great campaigns in BF. Some are ok but it's probably best to just let the community make some crazy stuff.
Considering Motive seems pretty competent and that they're working with series fans, I actually have high hopes for this. I bet EA does remaster the original trilogy by the the time this releases, too. It would take considerably less work than Mass Effect did, because the games have aged incredibly well.
