@themcnoisy It has a great concept and it can be very enjoyable, it's just poor in execution.

@get2sammyb a picture or a short video makes it a lot easier to explain what this game is.

@get2sammyb I have the same initial feelings as you. I played a decent amount of the game completing the baron quest and playing Gwent and did some side missions but I couldn't get into it. I really couldn't get to grips with the combat system and so ended up deleting it. Since then it has sat on my shelf gathering dust and every now and again I tell myself I'll give it another shot but I can't convince myself it's worth it for all the downloading, installing time and memory it'll take up.

@DerMeister it's a great genre! Any genre of games is worth a try atleast once cause you never know until you try. The key with rogue likes is to get used to dying and accept it as every death is a learning experience.

@Johnnycide ha ha 😂

It was a bold move taking their much love series into a 3D world but I can't understand why they would want to in the first place. The original was a great multiplayer puzzle platformer in the format it was and then the sequel only improved upon it. To then just remove that format entirely surely loses interest of the fans.

I can see they wanted to try something new but there are so many other things they can experiment with without switching up the entire game format. Fans weren't screaming that they wanted a 3D platformer or that they had had enough of 2D platforming.

I think developers lose focus when creating games these days, and often don't listen to the actual recipient of the product as is the case here.

@DerMeister Thanks, I am genuinely surprised at how good a response I've had from this article. It's awesome.

@Frank90 that's fair enough everyone is entitled to their own opinion. There are plenty more of these article coming over the next few days, maybe one will suit your tastes better.

@Melucine Fair enough some games just aren't for everyone, for instance I don't particularly like the Witcher 3 even though it is a really well designed and polished game. It is the same with Rocket League, some people just won't like it even though it is well designed and polished.

@BAMozzy yeah it was a good game to finish the trilogy and it was definitely overlooked by many because of some very minor issues.

@xMEADx I really enjoy a big variety of games and I'm sure others do too. I get tired of playing the same genre for hours on end so I like to mix it up a bit.

The Witcher 3 was definitely a big contender for me, I picked it up on launch and loved the visuals and the huge amount of content and the open world but I just couldn't get into it like other titles. I'm not saying it's bad, I just couldn't get used to the combat system as I don't think it suited my play style.

As for Bloodborne, it's one game that just slipped through the net this year and i've had @get2sammyb on my back nagging me to play it. I will hopefully pick it up over the christmas holidays.
