If GOW is the same (and Demon Souls to a lesser extent) i just went from a day 1 to 2022 purchaser.

@Octane yeah, once i heard that m hype for PS5 instantly died. Like why bother getting it first year if exclusives are going to be cross gen?

@TheFrenchiestFry The biggest issue with All Stars (I think) was the utter non existent marketing, awful balance (which should have been easily patched!), no post launch support, and the PS4s launch right around the corner. It was a fun couch co op fighter at the time!

If they relaunched it now, with updated roster and some marketing, i see no reason why it wouldn’t be a success. Especially if they went F2P with character battle passes.

@Juanalf that was my favorite part of All Stars! I can’t stand smash bros, i loved All Stars gameplay so much more! (Yes, i know I’m in an ultra minority on that opinion haha)

I feel like this kind of stuff would be better saved for part of a bigger show. Maybe i just need to get out of the E3 mindset and on board with the more frequent but smaller announcement type of thing.

Teleportation is a frustrating choice, especially when games like Skyrim do it so well. On my radar tho once it goes on sale!

I don’t understand why they aren’t adding stage remixes or randomization. I’d like to be surprised when the hazards are rearranged every time i play.

I just want to know what games actually launch with the thing. Otherwise, i might as well wait until after the new year to get a PS5.

I was a day 1 purchase for the longest time. But as time goes on i see less and less reason to get it Day 1.

Hopefully Rocksmith will still work fine. That’s the whole reason i got a sound bar and optical cable.

If you look at the way the consoles are arranged on the stands, the PS4’s disc drive is facing the back.

Really frustrated me when I set up my entertainment center.

Also, questions for any tech people: is PS1/2 emulation really that hard to add in? My PC and phone and even a raspberry pie I coded can play Tomb Raider from a PS1.

I don’t understand the point of giving you the credits back, on a pass that has no time limit. I guess it’s so hard to grind they just expect people not to complete it before another superhero comes out that someone would move onto?

The coolest thing i saw was my phone being able to play Xbox games. Now i know i can play Avowed for 15$ when it comes out lol.

I hope they up the variation in the games. I played for 4 hours yesterday and every game got see saw in round 1 or 2. On the bright side I’m really good at that stage now.

I hope PS5 has a bunch of colors right at the start. I tend to buy 4 controllers right away and never need to buy more.

Although my joysticks are looking really bad after 7 years haha.

I love it. But really hate how tanky my guy controls haha. Just so used to the polish of games like TLOU that games like this are extra difficult!

I remember playing U3 multiplayer and the teasers for TLOU first appearing in newspapers on tables of some of the maps!

I was EXTREMELY excited until I saw that it was 4v4. Now it’s gonna be a hard pass from me.

I love having games I love sit on the shelf. I still try to get physical copies when I can, but swapping games while sitting down is quite nice.

One thing that stinks tho, is I have to bring my entire PS4 to my buddys house when we play Overcooked.

They could sell and then instantly pull the rights to those franchises if they wanted and sell them elsewhere. (Obviously the buyer would have terms agreed to beforehand but still).

Also annoying if you had high level masterminds versus low level survivors.

This is the first I’ve heard that Devs in Japan have had a harder time adapting to work from home. Is there a reason why? Or can anyone share an article that talks about it?

I just REALLY hope it stays it’s own thing and doesn’t pull a ‘surprise! It’s FFXVI’. A whole new franchise without fandom baggage is always nice. But either way it looks really cool!

Wow i totally forgot about Dark Summit. That and SSX Tricky were some of my favorite games back then.

I’ve loved every game from Sony this generation.

While I love to see risks being made, it has been nice to know that when Sony puts a game out, it’s going to be a solid game with polished gameplay and story.

After the success of bloodborne, it surprises me that Sony hasn’t had more exclusives with FromSoftware, as of yet. Hopefully they have something in the pipeline.

Sony remaking demons souls shows that they know there’s a big interest.

This is what I’ve been waiting for since early access. Sad to say I haven’t tried Dreams for more than 30 min yet, maybe this will really get me to explore its creations, VR and non VR

Uncharted Fight For Fortune was cool, wish it was released on mobile or PS3 back in the day as well.

@keihtg I had the same reaction This was my first video game when my parents got me my GameCube because my dad thought the cover looked cool hahaha

I get they’re going for consistency in branding but I really liked some of PushSquares mockups.

I was never a fan of the box art from 2009 to now. I preferred the OG ps3 box art the best.

I hope they take my feedback and add a boulder punching Easter egg.

Also wish Roger Craig Smith was back as a voice actor :/

But I’m hopefully for a continuation of the Automata storyline.

@Makina I enjoyed Lost Legacy as much as 4. And it was a decently meaty game. Plus was 40$ at launch. Can’t see why it’s a bad thing.

Been since basically launch since I last played this, so my memory is rusty, but I thought basically the whole continent was open to different zones to explore? When they add expansions do they basically re-do certain zones and make them bigger?

Or is my memory bad and lots of the map actually blocked off and these expansions are just totally new areas?

Crazy how short game development used to be back before the 2010’s. Could have an amazing game developed in a year or two. Can’t imagine working like that.
