Personally I won't be checking into anymore pre-release content. FF games are special to me and I want to be surprised by all that XVI has to offer.

@Eagly Dude Riku is so amazing!! I love him so much haha. Definitely have to 2nd pretty much every character you have listed there. Although I can't explain to you why, I absolutely ADORE Sena. I'm usually controlling her when running around, "girl with the gall" haha.

@extragood could never really put my finger on why this game never clicked with me, but you saying that about the force meter resonated with me. All things considered though it looks good, happy for all those excited for the title.

Personally I haven't been in a mood for single player games after completing Ragnarok, although I have dabbled around a bit in Elden Ring.

Mainly though I've been grinding on Overwatch 2, very close to hitting Master rank, currently Diamond 1! Wish me luck this weekend!

@GorosBat For me there's just something missing from HFW, I can't quite put my finger on it. There's so many things I adore about it, but also things that BORE me. Maybe it's Aloy, maybe its the cast of characters, maybe its the plot, something about it just doesn't grab me. Wish that were different though as I see why so many love it, just doesn't click for me I guess.

@shonenjump86 Chapter 7 into Chapter 8 is really good, enjoy!

Thrud was easily one of my favorite side characters, really impressive the cast Ragnarok has.

On the other hand a character that I felt very little, pretty much nothing for was Freyr. Maybe it was his personality, maybe he didn't have enough screen time, but he just didn't land for me. The people in the camp were more interesting.

It could be by choice. I play the PS4 versions of Apex Legends and Overwatch, just because I prefer the DS4 to Dualsense for competitive play.

This game is such a fever dream to me, one of those things you question whether you actually experienced or not. Glover was a long lost memory until today. Played on N64 btw

@PenguinLtd Oh man he is a rough one!! So annoying when he spawns that extra clone of himself, but he is easily one of my top 3 bosses in that game. Grats on the clear!

Side note: Isn't Irithyll one of the best looking zones you've seen in a game??

Don't ask me why but I looked at this and I thought about Rayman. I'm in, take my money.

Yeah it can be a time sink, but I love it to pieces. Incredibly special to me. I really appreciate the approach and mentality the team has towards subbing, sub when the game has something for you and unsub when it doesn't.

As far as FF2 reference I'm unsure, but I'd lean more towards no since they said Pandae is original content since people are tired of crossovers (nier, eden, omega). Personally I adore the crossovers.

Excellent top 3 my friend, we basically have the same tastes except my personal list goes: ffxiv, ffvii, ffvi (although catch me on the right day and this last answer might be ix) ffxiv reminds me of ffv in regards to amount of jobs you can play

I have been loving my playthrough through the Kingdom Hearts series! Coming into it as an adult I was extremely skeptical of connecting with the game, but all of my doubts have been laid to waste. I adore this series, really enjoying my current playthrough of KH2, it is significantly better than KH1 in every way. After playing 2, gonna move on to Birth by Sleep!

@Shigurui Man that 3rd boss is no joke, and is a superb boss encounter. Was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

@ShogunRok Man that first paragraph of yours were my main gripes with remake. The corridors and side quests sucked. Although I did like the side quest getting the music for the little girl, oh yeah and the classic finding the old man's inspiration

I'd like to see some better management of the materia system. I love how in depth it is, and you have some build diversity. But I feel like I spent wayyy to much time in menus. Maybe they can have materia load outs or something?

@CJD87 Ughh of course you ask me the impossible question! My gut response is that Elden Ring is now my favorite Souls game. Incredible experience in that open world. I experimented with builds in that game more than I ever did in any other. I have 5 different characters, that all use different weapons types, ashes of war, affinities, sorceries/incantations etc. It's incredible you're able to do that. Very memorable bosses, but some lost a little of their shimmer since I explored every corner, and was higher leveled than intended for some fights.

That's my gut response, but there's another part of me that wants to say DS3. Mannnn DS3 was so good, back to back S Tier bosses. Other honorable mentions are Bloodbourne, Hollow Knight, Sekiro.

@CJD87 Nioh's combat is what elevates it above FromSoft for me. But From's level design, enemy variety, and combat encounters are UNMATCHED

Also I've heard of Salt & Sacrifice, you think it's better than Hollow Knight?

@Bentleyma Hey how is Tem Tem? I have a friend that's a huge Pokemon fan, and I've wanted to recommend it to them but have been unsure. Is it worth it to you? I could easily see people saying things like "yeah this is cool, but it's not Pokemon"

@lolwhatno Yeah they definitely went too hard with the rework. I think it's a step in the right direction, although it's over tuned. Pros are happy, but the casual playerbase is suffering. It's sad because Season 10 and beyond, Apex has been killing it with popularity. I hope they get ahead of it because I love the game to death and hate to see it in bad shape.

To put it into perspective, this is the least I've played Apex since it's release in 2019. I have less than 100 games this season.

@BartoxTharglod Pretty sure what they were trying to get across is how they difficult they make it play their games sometimes.

FFXIV is your favorite FF, you know how crappy something like MogStation can be to navigate at times.

Easily FFXVI for me, but I've never played RE4 so the remake really had my attention.

Also Callisto Protocol and SF6 look phenomenal!

As a lifetime PlayStation fan, the way they've been handling things this generation is beyond disappointing and frankly beginning to draw me away from them.

Seems like we're back to big ego Sony, smh.

But that UI is abysmal. It's a no go for me, just for that xD.

I gave this game a chance but the gameplay felt way too clunky, holding out for the PS5 version hoping I'll find it more enjoyable
