Re: Kadokawa Confirms Sony Acquisition Interest

Just looked a bit more. Kadokawa owns 5 companies. Spike Chunsoft, FS, Acquire, Gotcha Gotcha Games and From Networks.

They own 70% of FS.

I really only care for Spike Chunsoft games (I like Danganronpa) so I don’t want that going exclusive.

Rest of what Kadokawa owns is all media and such. Anime, animation.

So Sony buying Kadokawa would give them a monopoly on animation and anime.

@ButterySmooth30FPS yes I saw. So what?

Every comment section has its own bad things. Stop acting the PS comment section is any better because I really don’t see it that way. All 3 of them have their own issues.

Re: Palworld Is Now Available on PS5 in Japan After Delayed Launch

@CutchuSlow @commentlife Nintendo would directly sue someone if they know they have a chance at winning. Thats probably why they took their time.

Also their parent patent was filed in 2021, with 4 other sub patents 2 filed in 2022 and 2 in 2024. But under that parent patent they are classified as patents from 2021.

This whole patent thing might be just a way for Nintendo to see if Palworld did use AI theft and directly steal Pokemon looks.

@RubyCarbuncle The capture mechanic is what is being rumored right now. That one is specifically from Legends Arceus. We don't know if it is true or not. That particular patent was supposedly filed in Japan in 2021. There are probably more patents since Nintendo did say Palworld violated multiple patents. I heard one of the patents was from BOTW/TOTK. But we don't know until we have more information.

"Those defending the House of Mario would perhaps argue there’s no backwards compatibility available on the Switch so the circumstances are different".

The Wii U was also Nintendo's colossal failure. While the Switch is successful. So introducing Wii U games to Switch would be exposing it to a more bigger audience and as mentioned, the Switch has no backwards compatibility

The PS5 on the other hand is backwards compatible with PS4.

@UltimateOtaku91 yes that is the one. HeadPirate on NL has done a wonderful job explaining and I commend him for that. It’s quite dangerous to go in and talk without knowing what it is actually about. Because I see a lot of comments here, NL and PX thinking it’s a copyright infringement DESPITE the lawsuit being a patent infringement. I think now most people in NL now understand though while some here and PX don’t quite understand either.

If Palworld did violate any of those patents, then they are going to be taken to court.
