@Ralizah Road rash 2 was one of the greatest games on the megadrive. I thi k ill pick this up at some point looks like a good digital game to own for a quick blast between sessions on bigger releases.
@ShogunRok I don't get this, I'm in the UK and I have the Audio Theme Series - Mastercube. Which is just a galaxy spinning with no association to a game whatsoever.
@GamerDad66
Your so lucky, I've got the oled but I'm in the UK so no option to buy, out of interest do you know if they have been able to do 4k HDR themes yet?
I guess giving away the base game for free on psplus a couple of months back paid off. I enjoyed what I played but I can't justify the time investment. As I like a bit of variety in my gaming time. If I didn't have a stressful job, wife and kids to think of I'd be all over it. The shooting mechanics are beautiful
I had a great time last week playing games with my nephew. So I'm going to play through some old games. Loving infamous with it's pro patch and I have lots of driveclub dlc still not touched yet.
I wonder what the UK price would be? I've got a standard pro and a 4TB external. This was pretty cost effective and 5TB total will see me through the generation.
@dirtytoneuk I love the way you assume people are cheapskates who can't afford to buy the premium addition. Maybe it has to do with their last game being awful. The tenancy for their games to drop in price rapidly, and however its dressed up an incomplete game at launch. We can all use quotes to argue our side. A fool and his money are easily parted.
Trying to clear up a few trophies on Raiden V, which isn't the best game but OK in small blasts, then my nephew is coming round so probably some couch coop games. We like playing nex machina together and he also like driving games so probably a bit of drive club
@Paranoimia I hate to be the bearer of bad news but kleenex have just last week announced they are getting rid of the man size tissues. Probably due to some other Internet melt down
@deepspace5d Funnily enough, me and the family had to drive 60 miles for the nearest indoor ski slope and I made them listen to a Paul oakenfold goa trance mix today. Think it was the trancelucent essential mix from the end of the 90's
Got gingerfrog for parties in the mid 90's when we used to have massive parties and to to many chemical drugs in a consequence free era of my life. We were all pretty mashed back then and it stuck. The weirdest part is Im not ginger or have anything to do with frogs but it has stuck for over 20 years. And now grown up married with teenage daughters I leave out the taking drugs part when explaining. Because as it turns out they certainly aren't consequence free and I don't want my kids to know exactly what I got up to when I was a raver.
@wiiware I agree fighting, online multiplayer, driving games. I can't imagine not buying digital anymore. I get some much more out of these types of games now that while playing my main games I can just do a few laps, fights or few rounds of shooting. It give the game so much more value for me.
Think this all but confirms the ps5 will need to be able to read UHD discs. The game size is only going to grow from here on out. I wonder how much of the coding is done with forward compatibility in mind? It'll surely go the GTAV route on both consoles.
I've only got access to the European store but I'm going to be holding out anyway for the 12 days of Christmas sale. I've got plenty to keep me occupied till then.
@Tasuki Sorry if I wasn't clear their main ability attached to R1+L1 is only coming up once per game, sometimes not at all in quick multilayer matches. Their secondary attached to R1; like razor wire, flash bangs, grenade come up a few times with cool down. These are ofter replaced with normal grenades and concussion grenades. Anyway the point I was trying to make was that this feels like a cod not an overwatch to me, but everyone will have different opinions. If you get a chance to play it give it a try you may be pleasantly surprised. Trayarch make great multilayer games.
@Tasuki Seriously it plays nothing like a hero shooter, and with boots on the ground it feels like a great cod game. There's so many modes to play also. The specialist abilities are only really earnt once per match and feel more like a low level call streak
I know I'm just 1 person, but this is the first switch I've made to digital in the series. Having got a 4tb hard drive last year I'm Probably not going to pick up any physical games again. Purley driven by laziness And the hoping that they'll all transfer to the ps5 and beyond when they subsequently release.
I'll be putting time into black ops 4. I know my love of all things shooting from back in the 80's upto today is not the cool thing but I'm really loving it. It plays so well. I've never spent a penny on any shooters so called pay to win mechanics and I've always faired well. And as always with cod games the best guns and perks are pretty much available right away as the first ones. Anyway for those that care there's easily enough content to warrant a purchase in a well polished balanced game.
I'm having great fun with it, it's very fluid and seems well balanced. Only had a chance to play core team deathmatch. I'll be playing this mode for a while before I try blackout. Don't think I'll miss the campaign, I always played them even though only 9% of people completed the campaign. It seems they've focused where the community wanted the game focused. There's still a massive amount of top quality gaming to be had.
@Kienda @Spectra I agree the outcome is the outcome. You can’t keep voting in a democracy till you get the result you want that would be an awful way to run a country. Your vote would mean nothing
Maybe it’s my vita but the PSP one given away with psplus ages ago. Doesn’t ever seem to play. I’ve uninstalled it and downloaded it again numerous time, but it’s so jumpy and not a frame rate issue, it’s literally like you had a disc in there that’s being shaken
I’m going to the Oktoberfest today for my birthday with mates so not sure when I’ll recover enough to play games. Maybe a Sunday evening chilled games session
gingerfrog may sound awful to some, but I got the name in the 90’s at parties doing far to many disco biscuits with friends. I’m neither ginger or a frog. but smashed people come up with great stuff and the name stuck. Also now I’m 42 with teenage kids it’s nice to remember a time when I had crazy nights with a consequence free future
@Ryu_Niiyama That’s what I’ve got it’s perfect for me, luckily I’ve got virgins 200mb broadband otherwise who knows when a game like that would be ready to play.
@rjejr I was thinking it would work better as a launch title or early in the generation. Purely because it will give the players more time to create the great games for people to play over that generation. They’ve clearly missed the beginning of this generation so maybe it’s worth hanging on now. Rather than releasing in the PS4 twilight years.
And this is why I have never played or bought an episode of any game that isn’t complete. My slightly paranoid completionist mind won’t let me for just this scenario
Glad I checked nearly miss took a cheap copy of road rage for the much better looking road redemption. A quick check of the push square review 2/10 saved me an embarrassing miss purchase. And a few extra coins remain in my virtual wallet
I’ll use this weekend to finish up the single player parts of destiny 2 which has as much as any FPS single player campaigns. Then on to clear some smaller games from my backlog before I go getting me some new games and extending my backlog again. Such is the roundabout of my gaming life.
@stevenfins I agree Trayarch always make a a great multiplayer game. People may not like the brand but it’s hard to dismiss the polish of their games. My main concern is I play hardcore modes and I’m not sure blackout has this mode, and switching between core and hardcore is quite jarring. The times I’ve be first to get my shots in only to stop shooting early to conserve my ammo and get killed
@get2sammyb I hope so, it’s a game my wife and I hold close to our hearts. We played it so much when she was first pregnant we were really young and only were able to move in with each other when she was 5 months pregnant, and if the ps1 had platinum trophies we’d had got it a dozen times over. PS4 is becoming my favourite console of all time
@Jaz007 Don’t know if I read I different to everyone else commenting. I didn’t think they’d punish you but you were getting everything in on go so there’d be nothing the rest of the week. Pretty good if you don’t like grinding and want to get on with other games once you have everything first day.
I’m definitely going to get it, but like many people this far into the generation I have a backlog I’d like to get through of games I’m wanting to play so there is no point getting now, probably be cheap in the 12 days of Christmas sale. So I’ll look then
