Re: Talking Point: Did Summer Game Fest: Kickoff Live Blow You Away?

jdv95

it's the same case as ever with geoff's shows. at most 2 big games shown while the rest are imo just filler that would not look wrong on one of sony's less interesting state of plays.

but the production value is great as always.

hopefully with him getting elden ring maybe more devs will finaly give him big games to show off.

my highlights where death stranding and elden ring.

Re: Soapbox: Why I'm Not Expecting a PS5, PS4 Press Conference from PlayStation Next Month

jdv95

i don't see it happen personally.

what we will see at things like e3 are indeed 3rd party deals like FF etc but no first party showcases exept for a ratchet trailer and horizon forbidden west.

the ps5 showcases where sony's big blowout event in a long time bust also the only ones for a long time to come.

i think they could do a big blowout in the middle of this gen again though.

altough sony should make it clear(er) that they won't be at e3 because i have seen quite a bit of youtube titles speculating about sony reveals at e3. and i think that will ofcourse lead to disappointment when it turns out that sony was not at e3 because they did not let people realy know in advance.

Re: CDPR Refuses to Drop Cyberpunk 2077 Development, Plans to Sell It for 'Years to Come'

i do feel that people should always remember that the devs are not the bad people in this story. but rather the upper management.

can't help but feel sorry for them taking the heat while the bosses run around scott free.

i truly hope they will be able to fix their reputation but let them take all the time they need to do so. the last thing they need is players breating down the developers necks prompting the upper management to be dicks again to their staff.

Re: Soapbox: My Colleagues Bet On How Far I'd Make It Through Final Fantasy VII Remake

jdv95

i played trough the game right up untill the final boss fight against "you know who" than died so i stopped.

decided to come back 2 days later to retry but saw i had to redo the other big boss fight just before "you know who" and remembering how much of a slog it was the first time,i just shut of the game and deleted it.

still not proud of this one and sort of regret it since i had a realy good time with the game as a whole. but the last chapters just being bossfights was to much for me in the end.

Re: Trophy Hunter Mark Cerny Skips the Platinum if it Requires Online Play

jdv95

tbh there should be a rule against online trophies counting towards the platinum in a SP game with a online mode.

some games with a great SP campaign like resistance can't be platted anymore because the online is dead. and why do the gta online and red dead online trophies count towards the platinum when rockstar sees those game as seperate from red dead and gta v SP modes anyway?

obviously this should not be the rule for online focused games like COD and battlefield.

Re: Poll: Is Cyberpunk 2077's Poor PS4 Performance Acceptable?

jdv95

thing is this game was teased in 2012. BEFORE ps4 and xbox one where released.

so somewhere in development after those consoles where out they must have gotten to a point where they saw that the game was getting to big for those consoles and should have made a decision. either cut back on the game, very unfortunate for their vision but it would atleast work on the consoles the game was first aimed at all the way back in 2012. or keep the vision but cut the ps4,xbox one version and make it all next gen only.

it seems that they could not make a decision and decided to keep the vision and still release it on last gen despite knowing it would not run well at all.
