Re: E3 Will Return in 2023, Says Expo Organiser ESA

jdv95

in order to make it happen i think the ESA need to do the following things:
make the event cheaper for the publishers. 1 of the most notorious thing about e3 was that it's very expensive for publisher to have a show and booth space.

2 only allow press to go. the few times it also allowed regular people to go,it became way to hectic and overcrowed acording to press members.

3. let the publishers have a bigger say in the event's workings. let them pick their own time to host the show (within the week ofcourse).

4. don't chase trends such as trying to make it a influencer show they planned on doing in 2020. the press, fans and even publisher did not like that idea before that e3 was canceled.

if the ESA will be more friendly towards the publishers and press it might bring in some of them to give it another chance.

kinda like how geoff threats the publishers. respectfull and giving them breathing room.

Re: VRR Support Patched into Ghostwire: Tokyo

suprised to see the game not having received a discount in the PS store considering deathloop did twice soon after it's release.

i know they are from different devs but there was a meh reception towards ghostwire before release kinda like with deathloop.

the game must be selling better i guess?

Re: Square Enix Retains Just Cause, Life Is Strange, Outriders IPs

jdv95

@Golem25 lifetime sales for sure.

but from my memory the reboot kinda underperformed. it's why the next tomb raider is gonna be yet another reboot.

LIS is the most succesfull IP western square has in recent memory, outriders was popular enough for square enix to consider it a new franshise soon after release. and just cause just keeps getting new games no matter the reception. perhaps because they are not to expensive to make because of assets they keep re using.

meanwhile avengers was not at a success at all, deus ex is in limbo because of poor sales. guardians did well enough though, altough it had a slow start.

Re: The Witcher 3 PS5 Version Delayed as CDPR Moves Development In-House

jdv95

hmm so now CDPR is working on the expansions for cyberpunk, the new witcher game AND taken on work on witcher 3 remaster.

i'm worried this will backfire considering their development problems with cyberpunk.

you would think they would learn and take on 1 project at a time to prevent overwork, and spreading themselves to thin.
