I had about an hour on the beta last night and I'm still not sold on it. Whilst it does look the part, I just think there is something missing for me. The mode I enjoyed the most was Drop Zone mode, although I think after a few hours it would get a bit repetitive. The survival was okay, although you don't get the sense of being in a battle but they may appeal to some people.
I didn't spend much time on the 20v20 as I gave up after 5 minutes and being killed from all different angles...my fault!
@ShogunRok We'll have to wait and see, but hopefully we'll see more free content or good value content. I personally stopped playing for about 6 months but TTK has brought me back and it seems like they are trying to deliver what people want. Fingers Crossed!
@ShogunRok The article itself is balanced so my comments were more for people who were jumping on the "I hate Destiny" bandwagon. I personally don't mind as long as I can still play and enjoy the game without paying anything extra.
In all fairness to ESO it does have 3747958593747494 hours of content too!!!!
@banacheck Game development costs have increased drastically and so have the average salary over the last 15 years and yet new games are almost the same price off the shelves...so DLC and micro-transactions are a way of these companies still making money. I know people really like hating on EA, Ubisoft, Destiny because it's cool to hate big corporations but they are there to make money.
ESO is one of the best games I've played and has had 2 x £15 expansions in a few months, a £10 subscription if you want and countless VERY expensive items from the store and yet it's not cool to hate on ESO is it?
Whilst they are just selling cosmetic stuff, who really cares...? Nobody is forcing you to buy.
I don't think I want to admit how many hours I've put in and I'm not even that high levelled yet (VR3 I think)...Imperiel City wasn't what I was looking for but this looks more up my street. Love the look of the area
Having only played about 3 hours of Uncharted 3, I decided to download the demo and can't quite believe how good it looks. I genuinely was amazed by some of the scenery. Shall most likely rent this.
Totally agree about the friend groups, I created loads of groups assuming it was just filters so I could see who was on with certain games but I ended up creating loads of message groups which I imagine annoyed some people.
On the whole it's not a bad update but just missing any of the features you would have expected from a 3.0 release.
I had the beta of this and to be honest I didn't really use many of the features other than favourite friends. Really hope they add customised friend online notifications soon although surprised it's not in this big 3.0 one.
It also makes me think we'll be waiting for 4.0 for PS2/PS1 games if we ever get them.
@kyleforrester87 I give more credit to Dinklebot than I had before, because for me his delivery is much better than Nolan's. Like you say, probably makes it easier for them.
Having played about with this new update, my feelings on it are mixed. The 10GB limit is obviously great. The addition of communities is really good to but currently no way to search, no official communities and no language filters. Grouping friends is a feature I really wanted, but for some reason when I group them it starts a group conversation too. Not what I wanted really but ok. Psplus app is pretty good, happy with that. Ability to add comments to friends activity is nice too.
@get2sammyb having voted for Grow Home myself, I'm very dissapointed. I'm very opened minded with games but found it extremely dull. STFU was pretty fun, interesting game mechanics and some good humour.
@THIS_SITE_SUCKS I have no issue with you thinking it craps and it's a bit annoying everyone taking this stance where they feel they are mentally superior to you because they "got it" and you didn't.
Personally I absolutely loved it...but you are entitled to your opinion.
I played it for the first time last night and I'd say it easily deserves it's 10 out of 10...such a fantastic experience and the online "feature" was such a surprise for me and really took it to the next level for me. Won't spoil it for those who haven't played but loved it!!! Their games really have gotten so much better each time...Flow was okay, Flower was great and Journey is a real masterpiece. Can't wait to see what they are working on now.
@Splat It's not really like Skyrim at all, but the first 50-100 hours in game can be played Single Player without any PvP. You would obviously be in the world with others which can actually be beneficial if you are up against a tough enemy. I've also not seen anyone just doing stupid stuff for the sake of it....yet
This is just some of the titles we've had in the last year...people seem to have short memories about how much good stuff we get
Dishonored, Sherlock Holmes, Rogue Legacy,Yakuza 4, Thief, Prototype 2, Hitman HD, Batman Arkham Asylum, NBA 2K14, Crysis 3, Dead Space 3, Trine,Injustice, Binding of Isaac, First Light, Valiant Hearts, MGS, Rocket League, Styx, Lego Batman, Lego HP, Killzone Mercenary.
Not every month is going to be to your liking but that doesn't mean the service we get is poor
@ironcrow86 Feel free to add me if you want. I get a feeling most of the early stuff is actually well suited to solo playing until you get to dungeons where I think some of them are group or public and benefit from teamwork.
@ironcrow86 I haven't played with a wood elf but I hear they are pretty good! I've just got a level 8 High Elf at the moment using Dual Wield mix with Destro Staff. Thankfully I've got some friends who play the game as trying to interact with randoms is sometimes pretty difficult
@whywai88 well actually we have seen quite a few instances over the last few years where using a # on Twitter has made companies change what they are doing. Even in the last few days...
Destiny reverse descision on stupid new user DLC and Batman pulled from PC and Rocksteady apologising. Both of these happened because of the power of gamers voices being heard
@Mxpxboy Again I have 50mb fibre and if I plug a laptop in I get 50mb download but through the PS4 I get 25.
Also, there are issue at the moment. I can normally download a 35GB game in about 3 hours but I've currently left Driveclub installing, 25GB, and it's so far been running for about 13 hours and only about half way through...so there are defintely issues.
@BAMozzy In the first game you could store stuff with Innkeepers which would make even more sense on the Witcher 3 as it's much easier to travel to these locations.
I tend to buy physical to be honest, like you say you can't sell on digital (although I was confident I'd like the Witcher I did DL that)
It is difficult to define whether games obtained whilst in PS+ are free. We pay for a subscription to Ps Plus subscription. As a result of that we can obtain certain games for "free" (without cost or payment). Some will argue that they are included in your subscription and are consequently not free.

Re: Star Wars Battlefront's Beta Is Not 1080p on PS4
In my opinion after playing last night, it's the best looking game on PS4, so they've done something right.

Re: The Witcher 3 Developer Hypes Up Cyberpunk 2077 as the Biggest Game It's Ever Made
As much as I loved the Wticher...I'm not sure I'd personally want a bigger game. Depends what the term "bigger" is being used to describe.

Oh it does look good though...played it for about 15 minutes at EGX and it runs very well!

So glad I got to play this at EGX, it plays amazing and genuinely looks stunning!

@icarusdreams @ShogunRok Nice, thanks guys. With 1500 crowns each much on ESO Plus it'll pay for itself anyway
Re: The Elder Scrolls Online's First DLC Pack Brings Battles to the Imperial City
Mmm looks pretty cool...do you know if you cancel your ESO subscription would you then have to purchase it for 2500 crowns?
Re: Review: Rocket League (PS4)
If they fix launch issues then this is a solid 9/10. Most fun I've had gaming in a long time!
Re: Guide: What Is The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited Exactly?
@jonny_aces If it's a public dungeon then yes...but I think you could do a group dungeon on your own maybe and nobody else would be able to enter.
Re: Out This Week: Rocket League, Geometry Wars 3 Vita, Pneuma: Breath of Life
Yes for Rocket League! Loving this game so much! Got a few friends with it which will be even more fun

@ShogunRok That's absolutely fine, SO MUCH TO EXPLORE!!
Re: First Impressions: Our First 50 Hours With The Elder Scrolls Online on PS4
I'm actually hearing positive views from everyone who has played it...I've only just bought it but looking forward to exploring.
I have loads of questions about multi-player which nobody has been able to answer but I'll figure them out after a few days in the game.

Re: DriveClub: PS Plus Edition Is Free to Download on PS4 Now
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi I pay my Ps Plus subscription (£35 a year, £3 a month) to play online and obtain the 6 free games a month.
As a PS Plus subscriber, this is free for me. If I decide I like it, I will buy the full game and continue my Ps Plus subscription.
Re: DriveClub: PS Plus Edition Is Free to Download on PS4 Now
It's free...so I'll be picking it up and playing it.
Obviously people aren't happy that it's taken so long or that it's not as complete as first suggest, but I'm personally not too bothered.
Re: Video: Watch Us Round Up PlayStation at E3 2015
Oh and favourite games at E3 for me:
Star Wars, Rocket League, Ghost Recon, Horizon, Unravel and Uncharted
Re: Video: Watch Us Round Up PlayStation at E3 2015
Haha hilarious video...had to contain my laughter at work!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 72
PS4- Fifa 14, Witcher 3 (second run), Super Exploding Zoo
PS TV - Harry Potter Lego Years 5-7
Re: E3 2015: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 Looks Crap
I love Tony Hawk and I used to love the old games. For some reason I feel sorry for him that the game looks so...average.
It's currently priced on £50 on the Game website, seems a bit steep considering what it looks like.
Re: E3 2015: Stare Agape at The Last Guardian PS4 Screenshots
I feel like I'm one of the few people who isn't that bothered about this game...it looks okay, something I'd buy if I was a bit short on games.
Ps, please don't abuse me for these views
Re: E3 2015: Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls Confirmed for PS4
I've no issue with remakes and remasters...but I think they should at least stick to big iconic games, which in my opinion this isn't.
