Re: Take Cover, Your April PlayStation Plus Games Have Been Announced

I can't believe people still cry about PS+. Before Sony's initiative, there were no free games from any console manufacturer. Sony took the lead, Microsoft followed, and all they get for it is grief. We're talking $5 a month! That money isn't for free games, it's to maintain and improve their online infrastructure. If you want to cry about that, fine. The free games and discounts are bonuses. I swear, Sony could give away Bloodborne, Until Dawn, and Uncharted 4 all in the same month. And people would STILL cry Gaming isn't a cheap hobby. If you expect ANY console maker to fund your AAA gaming needs, you're just going to be sour period. There's a market specifically for your income level and mentality: mobile.

@BAMozzy "Naughty Dog are regarded as one of the Top developers because of their many GotY awarded games - not for PR stunts!" absolutely agree with you. While one can argue forever on whether they held some of the content back in order to drip it post launch (for the consumer goodwill), they have to be judged on the quality of the game and what they were able to achieve with it (technically, artistically, graphically etc...) - which they have succeed beyond any doubt!

Re: Hands On: Destiny's Sparrow Racing Is Fun for About an Hour

There are two fundamental problems.
1. The Sparrow handling is average at best, the controls could be way more tighter.
2. There are two maps, and it feels like only one of them is balanced. One of the maps is really narrow which will make you bump into pretty much every imaginable object (even after 15 races) - so losing your lead at the last moment is annoyingly common. The second map feels great, but with no ability to choose the map you're on, you could be stuck on one for 3-4 races in a row.
Though the cosmetic items, shaders, new sparrows and other goodies are a nice incentive to race in the event, other than that, it is as shallow and unfinished as it gets.

Every single developer, including Naughty Dog should take notes from CD Projekt RED and the way they conduct business. Hearts of Stone, like it was mentioned in the article, is a prime example of value for money, not only it is an incredible piece of DLC, but offers so much content for a $10 price.

Wholeheartedly agree regarding MGSV micro-transactions, greed at its finest.
