@get2sammyb yep, it really depends on the year. They're always trailing behind the giants like WB, Disney (Marvel, Star Wars) and Universal Pictures though.
@Boerewors You're missing the point here, it's not about whether people defend this game just because of all the hype it had over the past two years, it's more of a unfair judgement based on one jerky animation - in one particular segment of a quest. Yes, a segment, not the entire quest. Which by the way, can be easily patched if GG sees that people can't sleep at night knowing it is in the game.
I've finished TW3 + the two expansions twice. I've done every side quest imaginable and it is by far one of my favorite experiences in recent memory both from story standpoint, quests and world exploration. But can I say that every single side quest in TW3 had amazing animations and no jerkiness? Of course not, just look on YouTube and you'll find plenty - not game glitches (which were also aplenty even 6 months after release) but actual animations that looked off. Did these small moments deter me from the overall amazing experience that was TW3? Not at all.
Hence, going back my original point, people defend this because it is nothing more than nitpicking, plain and simple. Doesn't matter whether it is Sony title or not.
Worrying over one cutscene where the rest were pretty darn good is nothing but nitpicking, seriously. I saw GAF complain about it, but it was mainly from people who were never really interested in the game to begin with so no surprise there. Yet, the animation is a bit jerky in that scene - but did every Witcher 3 had flawless cut-scenes? No, of course not.
Of course the Scorpio won't be much different from the Pro, why? Because they need to price it competitively with the PS4 Pro. Too high and people wouldn't bother with it at all, considering there is a PC market for that with way more games that Xbox offers. Plus I'm sure the leaked specs are correct.
I thought the store was curated in some way already (not in terms of what releases), yeah, maybe not every game that releases is an instant must buy, but it all depends on individual taste and budget. Big Indies and AAA titles always get the spotlight on the front page of the store and are easily distinguishable from the other 'average'/'not so known' titles. Even during sales and such.
Sad that in this day and age something like that needs a confirmation. Regardless, good news overall! If they do plan a story DLC I hope they go down the same path as The Witcher 3 DLCs both in terms of quality and quantity. Not to mention price it fairly.
Guys, pick up Battleborn, you won't regret it. With the new update that adds 60fps, daily quests, UI overhaul and all characters unlocked it's just a shame not to give this game a chance at this price!
Reminds me of Vampire: The Masquerade - Redemption, one of my all time favorite action RPGs. The atmosphere, music and story in that game was top notch (for the time of course).
@leucocyte ehm, say what you want but Call of Duty is still selling really well and will outpace Battlefield 1 in the upcoming month. So the partnership was a good investment on Sony's behalf. WD2 perhaps not so much.
@SPGFan34 I think you miss the point of Diablo as a whole. It's a dungeon crawler/action RPG, there is plenty of depth, but most of it comes from getting better loot and fighting an increasing difficult enemies.
Played it and it feels to be lagging badly, especially in the hub areas. Other than that it's fun to pass the time and most of the content is free which is great.
Most of these titles are way cheaper at retail, at least in the Netherlands. That includes, Batman: Arkham Knight, Assassin's Creed: Syndicate, Far Cry: Primal, Black Ops 3.
@WillMerfi I 100% agree with ya. I wouldn't take this review all too seriously, considering Polygon and Destructoid scored it 95. I bought it and it was money well spent, perfectly tailored for the Vita and a great game overall. A bit short but there is definitely a replay value here.
@Tasuki Same here. Was aiming for a platinum but then other RPGs came out and I stopped playing. Definitely gonna undust my Crusader and give it a go this week.

Re: Rumour: PS4 Update to Add Pro 'Boost Mode', Upping Frame Rate of Unpatched Games

Re: Next PS4 Firmware Update Finally Brings External Hard Drive Support

Re: Sony's Banking on Horizon: Zero Dawn Cosplay Becoming a Thing
@KitsuneNight the fact that this game didn't come out has nothing to do with their marketing strategy.
