Re: God of War Ragnarok Delayed to 2022 for PS5, Sony Confirms

@twitchtvpat I just wish Sony was more up front about this. A couple of months back on one of their montage trailers. GT7 was listed as a PS5 exclusive. It's a bit dishonest. Same with God of War. Why not say at the time it was cross gen. Instead of being intentionally ambiguous. They announced Horizon as Cross gen almost straight away.

I get they need to hit the PS4 install base. But at the same time. They should not come out with stuff like "We believe in generations" when 3 of their most anticipated games are going to be cross gen. There's also the arguement to be made how much will the PS4 hold back these games and what compromises had to be made for them run on a PS4.

Re: Soapbox: I Don't Think Sony's Obsession with PS5 Blockbusters Aligns with Reality

@LegacyRXT Hey if that's how you feel. I very rarely pay full price for any game these days as I have such a backlog and other commitments. In the last 2 years alone. I think I bought 3 games at Full price. So that seems pretty good to me.

What's wrong with buying games? Gamepass is great and all. And I can see value in having it. But I like to collect games. that's how I've always done it and how I more than likely always will. Even if Sony come out with a similar service. I can still see myself buying the majority of games I want to play.

Excellent article. And I agree. This generation has just started. And it's probably fair to see Xbox has been running rings around Sony PR wise the last few months. Gamepass is fantastic value if your are into it. I prefer to buy and own my games. But whatever floats your boat. Also Xbox's commitment to backward compatibility has to be lauded. It's great to see them doing it.

We all know Sony excells at developing games. I mean in the last year alone we have had GOT and LoU2. Two phenomenal games. Just goes to show how all this negativety has manifested itself against PlayStation after coming out with 2 amazing games. Sony could really use public figure to communicate with fans much better. I think they got this aspect down. We wouldn't be seeing half as much negativety.

Pretty terrible by Sony. Their communication for the last few years has been awful now. I get the feeling they are getting a bit too big for their boots again. Compared to how Xbox have been going about stuff lately. It's night and day really. It's also making it hard to not make envious glances over to the other side.

Re: Feature: What 25 Years of Resident Evil Means to Game Developers

Absolutely adore this series. Over the last couple of weeks I went back and replayed RE2 and 3 remakes for the platinums. Even after all that I still have an itch to play those games. They may be short, but they are ridiculously fun to play.

Great article. I enjoyed reading how it shaped other people and seeing the love this series still has. It could have been a different story if they kept on down the path of RE6. But I'm extremely happy the series has returned to form with the last few entries.

Re: Poll: Has Xbox's Bethesda Buyout Made You Reconsider a PS5 Purchase?

For me. The news is a bit of a hammer blow. I absolutely love Elder Scrolls and Fallout. However, I'm always going to be PlayStation when it comes to consoles.

I think I'm probably going to invest in a decent PC going forward. Particularly with Gamepass. It makes PC an interesting proposition going forward. Especially with the Bethesda acquisition.

Re: PlayStation Disables Likes, Dislikes, and Comments on The Last of Us 2's New Trailer

It’s sad to see. I got the game spoiled on me by some dude on twitter in a conversation about boxing, so be careful anybody who hasn’t been spoiled yet.

Saying that. I’m still going to buy it. I want to form my own opinion. I don’t want to feed into the hysteria surrounding the game. I’m sure experiencing it will be much better than seeing how the story unfolds in bullet points on Twitter.

Re: PS5 Game Reveals Imminent As OPM Teases Blowout

@Grimwood Ever since the hardware deep dive of the PS5. People have been losing their minds over the PS5 been a bit weaker. That doesn’t particularly bother me. It’s just annoying to see it brought up and people moaning about it.

Also the Last of Us leaks. There has been a huge amount of negativity around those as well. But to be fair, I’ve seen most of the moaning on Twitter. Which is just an echo chamber for misery mostly.

But yeah, maybe not everybody is seeing the same negativity as me around some of these topics. Hopefully when the games are shown off I can enjoy them.

Anybody else just not feeling next Gen?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited to see what Sony are planning especially on the games front. But the hardware doesn’t excite me.

I think it’s probably the general negativity around games at the moment that’s dragging me down a bit. Hopefully it will pass.
