I tried it and it's just rock band, so it's great. Once they add rock band peripheral support (which they are working on) I'll be playing it more for sure
Life is Strange is one of my favorite franchises and I've always had a very personal connection to the stories and characters, so I am all in and happy to know I'm getting more!
I think the real odd one out here is best multiplayer game to BG3. I think it reveals the weakness of this year and of gaming the past few years- we aren't getting very good AAA multiplayer experiences like used to be commonplace. Battlefield and COD used to compete for the plaudits, and games like Gears, StarCraft 2, and Overwatch were really nice. We even got great multiplayer in single player games like Uncharted, the Last of Us, Resistance.
That was an extremely good show. The musical acts were superb. Heilung, Old Gods of Asgard with Door, Lake, and both Alans. That final orchestral piece was great. The games this year were phenomenal. The relevant trailers were all very interesting- and I think that's what stood out the most to me. Game devs are making very good trailers now. Hellblade 2 gave me shivers, Wukong was amazing. OD was intriguing. Outlast, Life is Strange, Ghost of New Eden, No Rest for the Wicked, Light no Fire, and The Finals all had really great trailers. Getting a Blade game from Arkane Lyon is also very special. The show was also funny. McConaughey, Christopher Judge, and Timotee Chalamet as YouTuber ModdedController360. And we saw a lot of justified wins. Alan Wake 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 won what they ought to have while sweeping the show. Even Cyberpunk 2077 winning the ongoing game award is important I think to chronicle that it is truly one of the best games made because of how much they improved the experience.
I don't think Dragon Age Inquisition has aged well, at least visually, but I absolutely loved that game when I played it back then. I really hope this next one is similarly fun! I think I put hundreds of hours into Inquisition and loved the locations, combat, and gear.
It's actually a huge bummer we don't get to freeplay as Venom. Like even if I could only do the hunter bases or even just the crimes it would be nice. Only get to pilot him during that one slice of the game :/
@themightyant I don't dabble in JRPGs much, but Persona 5 is hilarious. Someone wrote guide of the year on PSN profiles with a like 20,000 word step by step guide to the choices required for getting the platinum
I couldn't stomach the intro to 2, but man this is one of my favorite series, ever. I played through the other 3 installments once myself and then again with my grandmother. She absolutely adores the games, too. Shout-out to the cliffhanger in Before the Storm where the woods are on fire and it's spreading towards the school. Amazing moment which unfortunately isn't utilized later, but god I love these games.
@Markatron84 Why do you say it's "not right"? Why do you care about other people's spending habits? For example, CSGO has bottomless spending options for skins. You can buy tens of thousands of dollars worth of skins on the Steam marketplace, or buy crates there & keys from Steam directly and open your own. But why would I care as a player of CSGO? Other people's skins don't affect me at all.
Wait so is his argument based on Sony's cut of store sales vs what devs see, or the "high" price consumers have to pay for games on the store? Both? Frankly I think PlayStation games are extremely cheap if you shop carefully. Right now on sale for under $10 are Horizon ZD, Bloodborne, Metro Exodus, Titanfall 2, Bioshock Collection, Batman Arkham Knight- all top games. And that doesn't even account for the extensive library of top games that were available to any PS5 user free to own for a couple years there, or the insane value you can find in an PS Plus extra subscription... Advocate away, but I think this is a first world problems' first world problem.
I'm a sucker for the best game ever made, so I'm down to pay $70 for this. Plus, it sounds like it's getting way more than I thought it would. RE Mercenaries style mode No Return sounds awesome. Love to see lost levels and developer commentary. I think the coolest feature they could add would be to remix the story however you want, play through your own designed timeline of events . Or just give us one cool alternative directors cut.
She can bulk up, sure. But Abby being 5"2 is not exactly true to character... Bella Ramsey is 5"1 playing teenage Ellie. Surely you'd want both characters to be at least 5"5 as adults? I'm just not as excited for a short bulked up Abby. Feel like it works more if she's average female height .
I've played thousands of games, and after the two weeks I spent with Alan Wake 2 it is in my top 10. I didn't like control, though. But I am excited about jumping into the Max Payne series for the first time, and I'm totally down to pay for good multiplayer experiences. The future of Remedy excites me!
I'm actually very disappointed that best performance didn't nominate the combined actors or Alan Wake, both voice and body. I was already imagining them accepting the award because they did that well. It would have been unique for both of them to win it, too. It's an amazing performance throughout from both of them, way better than Saga or even across games than Idris Elba in CP2077 Phantom Liberty.
The concept has already been partially executed by Naught Dog in TLOU pt 2. You can start specific encounters and play through them again, and that's awesome. I think they intend something specific like that and it would be nice.
Blizzard sold team slots to esports orgs and just completely ***** it. I don't know how you ***** one of the best multiplayer games ever made, but they managed
The time-to-kill is waaaay too long and some of the weapons are not fun to play against (here's looking at you, flamethrower). I think it has promise, though!
I have high hopes, despite trying to keep expectations low for all things. But isn't the problem usually PC performance? Like who actually thinks this game would have problems running on a PS5 at 30fps. I need to understand your addled mind
@YoureTooSlowBro I assume Sony doesn't want voice recognition to be implemented into games it platforms? I just don't understand why the devs would compromise one of the key aspects of the game. Back when it released my friends and I would repeat "show yourself" into the voicebox as fast as we could and the ghost would be quickly replying a bunch of lines- "here." "kill." "kill." "die." "die." "kill." "here." and then it would hunt us and we'd piss our pants laughing and run away
