Re: New Vegas Antagonist Reveals Hand, Confirmed for Season 2 of Amazon's Fallout Adaptation

@trev666 After playing it again this year, I feel like House's ending has to be what's chosen as cannon. It is the most realistic in my opinion, as it leaves both the Legion & NCR intact, as well as Vegas. It kind of puts a hold on how the wasteland is as you arrive- NCR in the West & Legion in the East. There could even be a third clash between the NCR & Legion in the show I feel. House also wants lots of energy for his planned space expansion and national modernization.

Re: Serene Avian Card Game Wingspan Flutters onto PS5, PS4

zhoont

There are way better board games and card games that could use a PS5 release like Dominion, Terraforming Mars, Scythe, & Love Letter. But maybe if this game is successful it can page the way. I know many people who enjoy it and it is fairly popular- it was actually developed in my city.

Re: Fallout 76 Soaks Up Rads, Adding Playable Ghoul Class in 2025

zhoont

I'm a few missions away from getting every trophy in Fallout 4, and I'm interested in giving 76 a try because the best part of Fallout 4 is the gameplay, so I hope 76 offers even more modern content within these systems. However, this was the most puzzling part of the show to me. Being a ghoul seems extremely straightforward to implement, why do I need to wait until 2025 for this? It's a different skin texture and I suppose different perks/attributes.. how hard is that? I'm disappointed they announced it so far ahead of time if it somehow is going to take so long...

Re: Until Dawn Looks Scarily Good in PS5 Gameplay Trailer, Arrives in Fall 2024

zhoont

I'm actually worried right now they're making the game worse. If a lot of those camera angles in the trailer are straight from the game's attempt to add new positions I think they're making it look worse. I replayed Until Dawn recently and it's even better than I recall, but I like the way they frame stuff. This trailer has pretty bad "cinematography" of the scenes in my opinion...

Re: PS5 Players Are Buying Fewer New Games, But Spending More Than Ever Overall

zhoont

I mean I would say that PlayStation Plus catalog is a big contributor to people buying fewer games outright. There are sooooo many good games to get stuck in. I've played thousands of games and there are still great subscription offerings I haven't gotten to yet. Hell, even EA Play and RockStar plus offer a few really good titles that can eat up hundreds of hours. Games could stop being released for the next five years and I guarantee i wouldn't run out of new things to get to...

Re: Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Now Official, Reveal Next Month

My litmus test for this games quality (beyond playing the beta) will be if they work hard on adaptive triggers again. Cold War had unique trigger feedback for every gun, and I believe that was the most quality COD game. If they put effort into such a small detail it shows me the game will be more polished.

Re: Ubisoft's Free-to-Play Shooter XDefiant Has No Platinum in Pretty Weak PS5 Trophy List

zhoont

If I was producing any shooter and I wanted to attract players, I would ensure there were a platinum trophy in my game that took maybe 10 hours to get and relied on mainly trying out all the mechanics, characters, weapons, perks to some extent. Basically give you the platinum for experiencing the game. I figure that would attract players and make the game more fun. What do I know?

Re: Alan Wake 2's Haunting Soundtrack Out Tomorrow, Includes 35 Tracks

zhoont

The end of chapter songs they made in collaboration with artists are spectacular. Follow You Into the Dark is haunting. No One Left to Love is one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. The vocals are just next level, and she is so passionate. Definitely gonna check out the rest of the soundtrack now, but look into the chapter songs if you haven't

Re: PS Plus Adds Two Hour Trial for PS5's The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered

zhoont

The best game ever made on multiple levels. The PS5 version is amazing, too. No Return is a seriously underrated mode right now. It is incredibly fun, challenging, and addicting. The human AI is the closest I've ever come to playing versus real players on Grounded. I've played hundreds of hours of this game across both generations and and I still see new animations every time I play. I cannot recommend this game enough, I've played THOUSANDS of game and I swear this is the best!

Re: There's a 'Real Hunger' for AI to Make Game Dev More Efficient, Says EA Boss

zhoont

I think he's right when it comes to EAFC's development. I could totally see AI being helpful in translating recordings of players into animations for their in-game characters, even from just a match broadcast. And honestly I would prefer an AI broadcaster at this point than the broadcast they have now, I can barely stand either of the duos and their lines get very repetitive very quickly... it's pretty un-immersive. Each FIFA game has been a step forward, despite what you may have heard from losers addicted to Ultimate Team- especially EAFC 24. I welcome AI in this game's development for sure
