Re: Curb Your Kid's Fortnite Consumption with Epic's New Suite of Parental Controls

Just let the kids play the Last of US and scrare the sh*t out of them at night with the clicker sound. They won't be pushig square for a while after that.

But all jokes aside, it's a great feature to have if needed. My kids are only playing singleplayer games like the smurfs and astrobot right now so they are not online yet. They are allowed to play a reasonable amount of time on it, but they also need to play with there toys, play outside or do some crafts and create there own stories.

Re: Report Finds Lack of Star Wars Outlaws Sales Disturbing

I didn't buy the game yet because there were other games releasing around the same time that I wanted more. And buying Ubisoft games at launch is risky.

Is Star Wars still as big as before? In the past you could release a star wars game and it would sell big but didn't Disney pretty much butchered the franchise and made it less relevant.

@Psofo Africa is considered to be the oldest inhabitated continent on earth. So for a AC game it might be very interesting to find a great story there. There are alot of countries in Africa all with there own culture and history, even the Roman empire had a major presence in the past. It shouldn't be to hard to find a great story to tell if they dig really into it.

I must be missing something, isn't yasuke a real black person in Japanese history? So why would that be even racism. AC games have been known to add alot of fictional events inside the history, so it would make more sense that that will be the complaint here.

I think the western audience (a small group) are more vocal about this then the Japanese.

Re: PlayStation Fans Gleefully Snitch on 30th Anniversary PS5 Pro Scalpers

@koverby that's true, but it can also backfire. On the long term consumers might loose interest in your products because they are never able to get it, at least not at a reasonable price.

Si the question would be, what is more important. Selling to the ones that will invest further in the product they buy. Or to scalpers who want to make a quick buck and consumers who will keep it in the box in hope it will be worth more in a couple of years

I approve of this. But honestly if Sony would just release the covers and controllers in stores at a normal quantity instead of limited this wouldn't be a problem. The same with limited edition controllers, I was lucky to get the astrobot controller, bit it's ridiculous that you need to refresh a page thousands time to be in time to buy something like this.

Re: Prospective PS6 Purchasers Would Consider a Portable Model

@jrt87 it's pretty funny when you think about it. With the pre-switch handhelds most wanted the screen to be al lot bigger.

I never considered the DECK to be to big. There is so much going on in the games, I can't imagine the screen being smaller and being able to follow what's going on. The most important thing is that it's comfortable the hold and that the screen remains visible even with direct sunlight.

@NEStalgia I'm going to need a security safe on my back for that.

Imagine having a 700€ console in your backpack and you accidentally drop it, leave it on the train, it gets soaked in the rain... So many scenarios where it can go wrong.

Anyway I wouldn't be surprised if they were looking into this option, seeing the switch is a succes (also because of world events). The switch 2 will be a great benchmark to see if the dual option will still be a great succes or not, and what price people are willing to pay for it.

Re: 'Difficult to Comment' on Astro Bot's Square Enix Snub, Says Team Asobi

Square-enix are always hesitant with the use of their IP in other games. I don't think it has anything to do with their relation with Sony. Square-enix needs to get their head out of their a** and start realising the FF IP is not legendary anymore. They destroyed their golden goose FFVII by making it a trilogy and making controversial choices in the story.

I loved both remake and rebirth but was left dissapointed by both endings of the games. And I'm sure alot of fans might be waiting for part 3 to buy the full trilogy.

Maybe Cloud will be added in the upcoming DLC of Astrobot. He does belong in there as he is, for everyone growing up with the first Playstation, a iconic character.
