Playing nothing. Finished TLOU2 Monday night /Tuesday morning and promised myself a week off. I'm too old to be binging 24 hours of gaming over a weekend.
The game left me completely emotionally drained. Can't get it out of my head though. Might have to dive straight back in after some reflection.
When compared to other forms of entertainment; £10 for a trip to the cinema, £15 for a bluray, £25 for a football ticket, £40+ for a music concert, spending £50 on a 15 hour game seems like a bargain.
I'd rather get a 10 hour long Uncharted sequel every 3 year, than a 25 hours one 5 years apart.
I too struggle through longer games, I've got Control, Spiderman, God of War and HZD unfinished because they seem to drag quite a bit.
That said, I did just complete TLOU2 in a weekend. Worth every penny.
Adjustable font sizes are a must, no reason why it shouldn't be compulsory. Not just subtitles either, even with a big TV reading settings menus and HUDs can be annoyingly difficult.
I do wonder if they'll drop The Last of Us as a ps plus title at some point before part 2 comes out. Boost the multiplayer and flog a few more dlc packs.
HYPED is an understatement, I honestly don't care about anything else PlayStation related. Not the PS5, not Death Stranding, not even the new purple dualshock.
@Callmegil no reason for them to be, purely my own thinking. I've been working on the assumption, that 'if' tlou2 was to release in 2019, then it'd be November, with DS now 99% confirmed to have that date, that almost guarantees tlou is a 2020 release.
Just checked through the last 18 months of PS Plus games and can honestly say I haven't played any of the free games other than Trials Fusion (June 2018), plan to play both of these, so a great month for me.
Edith Fitch has been on my list for ages, so I'd be happy with that, and Overcooked would be good to play with my kids, so (potentially) a good month for me.

Re: Rumour: Full Astro Bot PS5 Game to Be Announced Very Soon
Astro vs. Knack.
Do it Sony.
Re: PSVR2 Not Looking Cheap as Impressive Features Debut in Hype-Inducing Ad
no way this is <£500
Re: Sony Files New Trademark for the One and Only Knack
Hello my name is Alex and I like the Knack games.
2nd was much better than the first and the co-op mode was fun.
An "It Takes Two" style Knack 3 with dualsense integration could be great.
Re: Uncharted Arrives in Fortnite Item Shop, Quests Coming Soon to PS5, PS4
I have 10 seasons of battle pass v bucks saved up to blow on something just like this.
Re: Windjammers 2 (PS4) - Frisbee Flingin' Has Never Felt So Fun
Enjoyed DiscJam a lot until the player base died and queues took forever, be interesting to see if this can hold up longer term.
Re: Talking Point: Do You Read All the Crap in Games?
Sometimes, usually not. I just finished Days Gone, I didn't even read the instructions for skills and bike upgrades.
Re: Raw Forspoken Gameplay Features Combat, Menus
Huh! Yuh! Ah! Uh-yaH! Yup! Uh!
Re: Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection Out 28th January on PS5
Told myself I wasn't going to do it, but for £10 I know I will.
Re: Poll: What Is Your PS5 and PS4 Game of the Year 2020?
Couldn't vote as only played two games on this list.
Re: Black Friday 2020 - Best PS5 and PS4 Deals on Games, PS Plus, 4K TVs, Accessories, and More
Smyths & Argos have Ghost of Tsushima for £35 (Physical). Been waiting for that reduction. Nice.
Re: Here's Your First Look at Tom Holland As Nathan Drake in the Uncharted Movie
Happy with Tom Holland as Young Nate, not happy with Marky Mark as Sully.
Re: Poll: What's Your New PlayStation Trophy Level?
From level 12 to level 207 - a whopping 2 platinum trophies.
Re: The Last of Us 2 Multiplayer Will Be Worth the Wait, Says Neil Druckmann
Pretty sure (and have been for ages) that Factions is not going to be a DLC (paid or free) and be whole new stand alone game set in tlou world.
They're spending too much time and have too big a team working on it for it not to be.
Re: PS5 Size Put Into Perspective with Series of Scale Illustrations
Holy Chuff, that thing is a monster. That thing best be super quiet, if the fans ramp up like on the PS4, it'll shake my house to the ground.
How many people gonna wait for a slim model?
Re: Kaitlyn Dever Would 'Love' to Play Ellie in The Last of Us TV Adaptation
@Matroska @get2sammyb She's petite so it'd probably be fine and like I said, she'd be a brilliant choice.
Re: Kaitlyn Dever Would 'Love' to Play Ellie in The Last of Us TV Adaptation
I'm hoping the TV Show isn't a Joel & Ellie tale.
That said, Kaitlyn Dever is brilliant and, if chosen, I'd be happy with her as Ellie, but I personally think she'd come across as too old for a 14y.o.
Re: The Last of Us 2: All the Tiny Details You Missed
The dolly zoom when you look down from the crane nearly made me sick. I hate heights too.

Re: How Well Do You Know The Last of Us?
100%. Platinum'd last week, slow walk through, no skipped cut scenes.
Re: Soapbox: Seven Years Later, The Last of Us Remains a Masterpiece
I bought a Ps4, my first games console since the n64, to play this game after reading about it. (I'm 36).
4 years and 10 playthroughs later, I platinum'd this past weekend. Nothing else I've played comes close. Though my teenager would say otherwise.
Not since I was queuing for a midnight screening of Fellowship of the Ring have I been this excited and nervous prior to a release date.
Re: The Last of Us: Part II - Essential Sequel Is Naughty Dog's Best Effort
OK, I think I'm ready for this. I've been patient, I've avoided spoilers and I'm gonna finally platinum the original this weekend.
I've booked days off work to play and told the wife and kids to leave me be for the weekend.
Re: Talking Point: What PS5 Games Do You Expect at Sony's Next-Gen Reveal Event?
I know it's a meme and all, but I would love a Knack 3. 2 was a big improvement on the original and co-op mode was fun with the kids.
Re: Sony: 'We Are Planning to Introduce a Compelling Line-Up for PS5 Soon'
Have been predicting there will be no PS5 reveal until after TLOU2 has released, possibly even after Ghosts.
When it comes, Knack 3 or GTFO.
Re: PS5 Deep Dive Announced for Tomorrow, System Architecture and Games
Knack 3 or GTFO.

Yes! This! Yes!

Re: PS5 Games and 'Much More' Will Be Shown 'In the Months Ahead', Says Sony
I think we'll not get too much detail until after TLOU2 has been released.
Re: Naughty Dog Has 'Big Ambitions' for Its Next Multiplayer Project
I'm expecting a TLOU world set multiplayer stand alone game called "Factions".
Re: Forget PS5, The Last of Us 2 Looks Unbelievable in 4K PS4 Pro Gameplay
I both want to watch and not watch at all. Conflicted.

What about all those people they hired to work on multiplayer levels?
Re: Talking Point: What Free October 2019 PS Plus Games Do You Want?

Re: The Last of Us 2's Media Event Later This Month Is Going to Be a Bigger Deal Than We Thought

I'd love to be wrong, but...
Re: Rumour: The Last of Us: Part 2 Release Date Internally Delayed to 2020
Damn. unhappy face
Re: Rumour: Death Stranding's Release Date May Have Leaked
If true, then I don't believe we'll get TLOU2 this year.
Edit: Arse.
Re: Soapbox: Days Gone Is the Biggest 180 I've Ever Done on a Video Game
RDR2; when I stopped bothering with side quests or trophy tasks and stuck to the main story missions.
Re: Official PS Plus May 2019 Videos Battered by Dislikes and Comments Section Outrage
@Boucho11 I've 'heard' about & been aware of plenty of them, what I wrote was that I haven't 'played' any of them.

Re: Fortnite Hosted a Marshmello Concert and 10 Million People Turned Up
First Fortnite event I remembered to log in for and thought it was great fun, my two kids and my wife (who hates Fortnite) thought it was brilliant.
Re: Review: Beast Quest (PS4)
I'm old enough to have read 36 of these books to my kid, who is now old enough to think this game is beneath him.
A shame it's poo, as the source material (which is also not great) has potential.
