I would love it if they did remove them. It's great when a game is designed so well that the environment guides you, as it were. Ghost of Tsushima is my most anticipated game right now and their design philosophy is really exciting.
Whilst PlayStation wasn't my first console, it was an amazing one and I loved it. I get excited every time I hear that startup sequence. Wonderful memories and amazing times. A close second for me is the PS4 as there have been some truly brilliant games that have come from it and more terrific memories made.
Do a remastered trilogy with all the original single content and local multiplayer modes. Have online play, possibly in the form of it's own mode which has all weapons from the trilogy available so you don't split the online play between 3 games.
Have the mapmaker back with the ability to download and share maps for the online mode. Allow people to upload campaign missions as well. Allow the campaigns to be done with online co-op as well.
Then release TimeSplitters 4. Have Steve Ellis and David Doak at the helm, with Graeme Norgate composing again. Have old staff back on the game but also new fresh talent too. Have a great online multiplayer mode, map maker and also a great campaign which can be done in single player, local co-op, online co-op and has the great writing and humour the series is known for.
@JoeBlogs As far as a I know, the name of the company is MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group yet both outlets are still running side by side in certain countries. This is the case currently in Germany.
It's a bit like the EB Game merger or the EB Game Gamestation merger in the UK. Separate outlets were still running together for a while.
As long as there are exciting games there, then I'll be in day one. Or if Ghost of Tsushima looks the most pretty on that. Or a special Ghost of Tsushima edition of the console.
Death Stranding is a must for me. As is Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. They're not day one games for me. I kickstarted Shenmue 3 so will be waiting for that in the post. It's going to be an awesome November!
Beautiful bit of artwork. Yoji Shinkawa is one of my favourite artists, full stop. He's one of those people who's got such a distinctive style. You know his work as soon as you see it. Phenomenal artist and a brilliant piece of work here.
@Quintumply Are there any over the top Jason Statham style accents? For example, does anyone with a thick London accent say: "PLAAAAYYYYCIINNNN CLAAAAYYYMOOORE!"?
It's my most anticipated game so I'll happily play it on anything. If it went PS5 exclusive or enhanced, I'd play it on that. PS4? Great. I'd play it on Commodore 64 if it meant I could play it.
I don't mind a delay, I'm just glad to have a release window of sorts. For a while it was hard to know when to expect Ghost of Tsushima or know when to expect news on it, but now I can file it away for later.
It would be amazing if it could do it with physical discs, but still the most important thing for PS5 needs to be new games, new IPs and exclusives - that will always be paramount for any console.
To be honest I think Sony's strategy and messaging is all over the place right now. I agree in the case of some of those games but I think the main reason All Stars Battle Royale didn't succeed is because I feel it wasn't that great a game in the first place in my opinion.
I'm guessing Last of Us 2 will be the main attraction with a solid release date. At 20 minutes I don't think there will be too many big things outside of that as I feel other projects seem more destined for PS5 (although I would go nuts for more Ghost of Tsushima).
Perhaps a specific Nioh 2 release date, more on Predator, Medievil, one last Death Stranding trailer and some smaller announcements like VR stuff. Maybe one surprise announcement like a sequel or an older IP returning or being remastered. Either way, it'll be nice just to have some news so I'm looking forward to it!
My most anticipated game. I'd be very surprised if this isn't on PS5. It looks beautiful and what they have talked about in terms of design philosophy sounds incredible. And the sword fighting seems to be a bit more Arkham inspired. I honestly can't wait for this one. It's going to be incredible.
One thing I'm glad about is that the beacons of light are gone, I found they killed the immersion a little bit and I hope there aren't too many rings to fly through, as there seemed to be quite a few in the early footage.
Apart from that I'm super excited about this. The absolute dream would be if they included the Rock the Dragon theme or some voice work from the Ocean dub actors. But I'm sure this'll be great either way.
Hmm, it doesn't sound great. I do feel there is room for things like E3 today, I think a large reason why E3 has seen a decline is due to other companies' dissatisfaction with ESA.
I have a feeling we may see more of a resurgence with events like Gamescom being seen as more important in the coming years, as well as TGS.
Believe it or not, if you were signed up to Dreamarena in PAL regions this game was free.
I remember minding my own business one day and got a package from Sega in the post, and inside was Chu Chu Rocket. Still one of the coolest surprises I ever received in the post.
