If Sony would just hurry up and start the next flash sale (which I feel certain will include some God of War games) I could get started.

@ShogunRok I've been waiting for this month's North American flash sale because I feel certain Sony's gonna discount some GoW games. I already recently got the origins collection physically so now I need Ascension, 3 Remastered, and the collection with 1 and 2. I also still have a 20% off code from one of Sony's video viewing promotions a while back.

Already pre-ordered before any reviews came out. I haven't played a God of War game yet, but I'm planning to play through all the other ones first so I voted that I've played all the other ones.

And here I thought only Nintendo had stability.

I've only been interested in this game for about a month, but it feels much longer...I won't be able to play it right away though as I want to finish the Uncharted games first. Currently on Uncharted 3 now. And then I'm gonna play the other God of War games to get me ready for this one!

I'm planning on some Wolfenstein 2. I absolutely love that game, perhaps even more than Doom.

@Splints I started playing it a while back when I got it on sale, and yeah, I got pretty bored.

@Eternallover21 The Last of Us got a Pro patch so boost mode no longer applies.

Speaking of which, I'm a bit annoyed that they Pro patched Doom because I'd take spotless frame rate over higher resolution (which I can't even see on my TV) any day.

One of my favorite boost mode games is Sniper Elite 3. It pretty much eliminates all noticeable frame drops.

@Gamer83 Yeah, the Amazon discount is the only reason I'd ever really buy physically. I really prefer digital copies, but if I can get a game for $51 instead of $64, well... that's an obvious choice. I guess I was more meaning it makes more sense to own a digital copy than a physical copy on PS4, but when it comes to the actual act of buying, physical wins out due to price.

I'm suddenly finding myself interested in this game. I won't be getting it for a while though until I finish the Uncharted and God of War series. Then I really should try to play through the Mass Effect Trilogy I got a while back.

I often buy games physically on my Switch to save memory. On PS4, there's almost no reason to buy physically since the space advantage doesn't apply what with games installing to the HDD. That said, I've often bought physical copies on PS4 since I can usually get them cheaper. I wish I had gotten more of my PS4 games digital though.

Time to add this game to my collection of countdown timers!

I'm super excited for this. I might not be able to play it on release though because I want to finish my play through of the Uncharted games first (currently on Chapter 6 of Uncharted 2). And then I'm gonna play all the other God of War games to get me ready for this one. Got a long road ahead of me!

This might be another one I have to get in addition to God of War.

If it does turn out to be a timed exclusive, I'll probably wait and see if it gets a Switch port.

@Rob_230 Yeah, I had antibiotics, and it's been a few weeks so I've been fine for a while. It's a shame antibiotics don't work on viruses like the flu.

I feel like 1080p 60 fps would be completely possible, but what do I know...That particular frame rate and resolution is the gold standard for me. I really don't care about 4K.

God of War already pre-ordered. I had an Amazon Prime discount as well as Amazon gift cards left over from Christmas so I got the game for $1.35.

I can't wait! Well I guess I can actually because I'm going to play through all the older GoW games first.

On one hand this is exciting, but on the other hand, I played the heck out of this back in the day, and I don't know if it's worth revisiting. And there are a lot of new games coming out this year that take priority. I guess it'll depend on how much new stuff they add if any.

Dang, this is making me really want PSVR.

@NintendoFan4Lyf Same here! Motion aiming is great. It makes me wish they'd patch it into the PS4 version. I mean the DS4 has all the hardware necessary for it...

In fact I'd say it's a shame more FPS games don't take advantage of the DS4 touch pad as a mouse. I've used the touch pad as a mouse for aiming when playing certain shooters on my PC, and it works great.

@get2sammyb I'm guessing this patch will basically replace boost mode for this game. Hopefully it'll still be locked at 60 and not do what The Last of Us Remastered did before the latest patch. I imagine if you actually had a 4K TV though you might see some drops.

Let's just hope this update doesn't make the game much bigger. It's already like 72 gigs!

I don't have a 4k TV...but if you did, would this make the game 30fps?

I won't be returning though... mostly because I haven't stopped playing Doom at all.

Got it this time! Pretty nice considering I'm planning on getting Uncharted Collection and some of the God of War games soon.

@coneal2825 I know, but I don't have PS Plus. If I did though, that's a game I'd want. Maybe some day, but right now I don't feel like paying for a subscription.

I don't have PS Plus, but if I did, I'd want Furi, Bloodborne, Dark Souls III, Nioh, God of War III Remastered, and Uncharted Collection.

I love remasters that actually have effort put into them. If you want a good example of how NOT to do a remaster, Splinter Cell Trilogy HD. Great games, but Ubisoft basically just ported them to PS3. There's frame drops all over the place, and they didn't even try for 60 FPS (despite quite literally advertising the games as such).

But then there's remasters that really did have effort put into them like, for instance, Wind Waker HD. And other remasters that had effort put into them were my introduction to the games they are remasters of. The Last of Us Remastered was my first experience with the game, and I loved it. I'm also planning to try Good of War III Remastered Shadow of the Colossus, and the Uncharted Collection, none of which I've ever played before.

@get2sammyb Sorry, I don't mean to be nitpicky. It's just when I saw it was marked as news I thought it had been officially confirmed.

I'm gonna be really disappointed if it ditches split screen spec ops though, and I say that as someone who's a single player almost exclusively.

Seems like this should be marked as rumor until it's officially announced...anyway, I'd definitely get this. I love Modern Warfare Remastered, and I loved the original MW2.

Of course, I hope that it would just be missing regular multiplayer because no split screen spec-ops would be a deal breaker!

It's interesting that they pulled this off, because, if you think about it, it also really limits what kind of story you can write. Your story requires a time jump at some point? That requires a camera break. With a story that never cuts like that, you're forced to write something really focused that takes place over a relatively short period of time. Congrats to them for pulling it off.

I've never even played a game from this series, and I'm excited for this!

The Last of Us 2 is all I need.

I've never played a GoW game, but all this hype is making me want to. That and playing as a burly, bearded man who cuts up enemies with an axe sounds amazing.

I'll just say this. EA used to publish genuinely great games like the earlier Medal of Honor games and some very good James Bond games such as Agent Under Fire, Nightfire, Everything or Nothing, and From Russia with Love (seriously, why couldn't we have gotten some more Bond games adapted from the earlier films?). But these days...I can't remember the last time EA made a game I was even remotely interested in.

Remaster World at War and Black Ops!

I swear I'm not gonna be happy if they shoehorn in open world gameplay. All the previous games were linear to a degree and were better for it in my opinion. Just make it play like Chaos Theory and Blacklist, Ubisoft, and we'll be good.
