Re: Marvel's Spider-Man PC Wall Climbs Up the Steam Best-Sellers List

GorosBat

I will get it eventually, but since I Platniumed the game twice with all DLC trophies and played through in NG + for the 100% on Ps5 I will wait for the price to drop around $25 AUD. Now sony please put GOT on PC already I will literally pay full price for that port, haven't played Iki Island so I'm making an excuse to double dip!

@YourNameHere Sadly if those allegations are true, it wouldn't surprise me, he has had wasted potential for most of his career as well, He could have easily been a top 10 player, but I'm going to disagree with you on his on court display, he actually makes the game entertaining to watch because you don't know what you get out of him. He isn't the first player to mouth off in games. I'm not trying to defend him BTW, he's obviously a grub on and off court, but I can't deny that he's entertaining to watch for me personally, apart from when he self destructs and throws many of his games because everything didn't go perfectly. As an Australian, he's literally our only good mens player we've had in years, so he's the only one we can really root for, but again if the assault allegations are true he can get screwed.

I miss these types of zany weird games from the 360 PS3 era, one of the only companies that makes these sought of things are Spike Chunsoft, but those are all VN's. They should remaster Shadows of the Damned while they're at it!

Re: Final Fantasy 16's English Cast Will Speak with British English Accents, Not American

GorosBat

I feel like larger JRPGs have really good English voice acting, I've only ever played FF games in English. I know it sounds blasphemous, but I played Persona 5 in English, the voice casting was just too good to ignore, even though the game is set in Tokyo. I guess context really matters whether I choose English or Japanese voices. If the game has a real world setting such as Ghost of Tsushima or Yakuza I go with Japanese, but since Persona 5 has fantasy elements I can go either way with that game. For the case of something like the Atelier series I go with Japanese because I know some of the games don't have English, so I might as well play the whole series in Japanese. There's also games like A Plague Tale where even though the primary language the developers made the game for was English, but I will choose the country setting being French, Metro series is also great to play in Russian.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 432

GorosBat

Only one game this week and probably for the next month or so:

Monster Hunter Rise

330 hours I have now spent on this remarkable game and I am so so close to getting 100% achievements. I originally thought that I had no chance of doing this before Sunbreak expansion comes out next week because anyone who's played Monster Hunter World would know about the arduous task of getting all the large and small crowns of EVERY single monster in the game, basically the largest or smallest version of a monster so the closest thing I can relate this to is Pokemon shiny hunting, except harder because there are no definite terms to tell whether the monster size is the one you're looking for. Doesn't help that they removed the size of the monster in the quest completion screen that was in World in Rise.

But nonetheless, I have prevailed and after spending about 100 hours of solely crown hunting in the last month I have achieved this feat! All that is left for me to do is complete 50 arena quests and 50 rampage quests, which are the new addition in Rise and are a tower defence type hunt, only issue with them is they can take upwards of 20 minutes for these quests and aren't fun unless you are playing with other hunters. I have about 5 left of each, so this goal of all achievements before the expansion comes is alive and real.

Only other achievement left after that is a JRPG staple, being to catch every type of fish in the game, which is a laid back and simple achievement to finish with. Gotta say, after migrating mainly to PC this year I'm surprised my trophy hunting habit hasn't gone away in the slightest and will be my 8th game I get 100% achievements for this year. I really hope that one day I could earn Playstation trophies on steam, would be really cool! Well, as always, happy gaming and have a good week.😊😊😊

Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium Now Live in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand

GorosBat

@themightyant You completely skipped my point that I'd only want game pass on PC which is my preference, so the few xbox games that aren't on PC are negligible for me. Is the next thing you say to me that my "preference" is incorrect? Mate, all I did on my first post was state that ps + costed considerably more than game pass for me and I get a slew of people trying to correct me because they don't know how to take in consideration that people live in different countries. I apologise for sounding rude when I say this and this issue comes up for me every time I make a post regarding prices, it's just annoying that I now have to say that I'm from Australia in every single post so I can avoid having insignificant conversations that get absolutely nowhere! Again, I will congratulate on anyone who gets value from any subscription service, these two just aren't for me. Sorry for venting BTW I know you mean well, happy gaming mate😊

Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium Now Live in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand

GorosBat

@themightyant I'm only comparing on monthly as I don't value either service, so if I subscribed it would only be for the single month. My comparison is the cost of what it is to get every possible game on either service for the cheapest possible monthly cost. For playstation you have to pay for the highest tier to gain access to all games. For me specifically, If I got game pass it would be on PC only so the cost is $10, but if I wanted ultimate it's $15 a month, but there are so many offers for a month for $1 you could also consider that. Either way, I still think game pass is the better option as expected right now, it's had more time to bake in the oven and has way more games I'm more interested in over ps + right now. I played pretty much every ps4 exclusive already and the only things I'm interested in ps+ are a few niche JRPGs that I can pick up dirt cheap on sale. SO yes the $15-$22 comparison is apt, but I've stated in other comments that I don't have value in either service and would rather just buy the ps1 classics. My statement was really only applying to me so...

Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium Now Live in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand

GorosBat

@thefourfoldroot1 No worries, but they are and aren't wrong, I've updated my 1st post to reflect why, but basically it's regional pricing differences and I'm only comparing the services for a single month as that's how I prefer to pay if I subscribed since I have a low interest in either service. Just a miscommunication and misunderstanding.

Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium Now Live in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand

GorosBat

@themightyant Who even buys Ultimate? How many people need Game Pass on both Xbox and PC, only reason I can see why is I remember hearing that you could upgrade to ultimate for a buck at one time, so people did, waste of extra money for no reason apart from sometimes getting bonus stuff. I'm not having a take at you if it's worth it for you, but it isn't for me. I don't subscribe to either service and don't plan to any time soon.

Re: PS Plus Extra, Premium Now Live in Europe, Australia and New Zealand

GorosBat

Big nope from me, almost double the cost of gamepass and I don't even bother with gamepass, might as well just pay for the classics I want and be done with it.

Edit: I'm Australian BTW $22 for highest tier for single month compared to $10 for game pass PC, please consider that whatever country you live in doesn't have the same pricing scheme as mine. I'm only taking into account a single month for each service to get every game possible, it is $15 for game pass ultimate but is a waste as I don't play on multiple consoles at once and can't justify a full years cost on either even if you save money on each service. In the end I'd rather just buy the games I want and own them for good. $155 goes a long way!

Re: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Is Remake 2, PS5 Exclusive, Out Winter 2023

GorosBat

@Cephun My dude, once you experience PC gaming you will understand why Steam is the superior launcher lol. PC gamers meme about it though so it's ok, but at the same time 99% of people see a game launch on EGS exclusive and immediately say no buy, the backlash works and developers such as Square Enix suffer for it in sales until the game makes its way over to steam. I'm joking when I say this.... But am I?🤣

Re: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Is Remake 2, PS5 Exclusive, Out Winter 2023

GorosBat

@GADG3Tx87 I agree with you on this, I think it's a pretty immoral thing to buy out an entire company, but my reasoning for it being "better" is that if you own the company, you have all the rights to the properties and is undeniably irrefutable and people have to accept that what ever Sony or Microsoft decide to do with their new company is up to them and them alone. We have good recent acquisitions by both companies, that even though they own the IP, doesn't mean they will keep them off other platforms. Destiny with Sony and Call of Duty for Microsoft, both are massive cash cows, so both companies want them on as many consoles as possible, but if either one decided that either franchise would be exclusive I wouldn't complain about it. Hope you understand my thinking method behind my words now, I generally just play my games on what ever I feel like. If a game comes out exclusive to one platform I generally buy it there on release, but for certain exclusive games on Nintendo Switch I will generally wait for the PC port for the superior performance, I often double and even triple dip for some games. I just feel sorry for xbox owners who will be missing out on mainline FF 7 remake games, but let's be honest, they'd make up for like 5-10% of sales. Fun talking to you dude, peace👌

Re: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Is Remake 2, PS5 Exclusive, Out Winter 2023

@add286 Microsoft games go to PC as well dude, another ironic point is Xbox literally has the same type of relationship with Bethesda as Sony has with Square Enix. Microsoft got Morrowind as an exclusive for the OG xbox, they also has Oblivion as an exclusive for the 1st year as well. So if you say sony can do this with FF 7 remake, people shouldn't be mad at Microsoft with Bethesda and their games, they are actually keeping the PC portion day and date which is where Bethesda as a company has their entire legacy. I see Bethesda as a PC first company and because of Microsoft they developed games for console as well. If we ever see the next Bioshock or a Mass Effect game be xbox exclusive I don't want to see anyone complain about them not coming to Playstation as both those titles were exclusives at first on xbox 360. FYI I'm not disagreeing with you on the fact that sony have to do this tactic to keep up with microsoft, I just wish this stuff on either side was done period. Nintendo seem to get a pass as well, a recent one is Monster Hunter Rise, wish that came to PS and xbox too but they've made a deal with capcom to keep it off other consoles. Lastly, I believe sony actually have the capacity to buy Square Enix if they truly want to, I can actually see that coming to fruition one day!

Re: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Is Remake 2, PS5 Exclusive, Out Winter 2023

GorosBat

@pyrrhic_victory Purchasing a company and owning all the rights to their games is absolutely alright with me, if sony did the exact same with bethesda I wouldn't blink an eye. If I remember, Rise of the Tomb Raider was the last big budget exclusive that xbox did this with, but even so it still came to playstation afterwards. From the looks of things FF7 Remake seems to be a full exclusive meaning it will never come to xbox, can you agree that sounds worse? If that changes I will change my opinion in regards to that. I hate the comparison to Bethesda because microsoft bought them outright and who owns Square? O wait it's Square!

Re: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Is Remake 2, PS5 Exclusive, Out Winter 2023

GorosBat

@munstre Sony could afford Square if they really wanted to, they wouldn't cost anywhere near the price of Activision/blizzard, helps that several of the Western developers just got bought from Embracer Group, which would lower that cost further. If buying every major publisher is the way the industry is going, I'd want Sony to buy Square Enix, I'd also imagine that they'd make the money back on their investment pretty quick.
