Re: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Is Remake 2, PS5 Exclusive, Out Winter 2023

GorosBat

Edit: My original post poked fun at console wars and inadvertently created one, so my bad, there is literally no point in me starting one as I should have predicted this outcome, although not to this degree... I'm sorry and should have realised how narrow minded people can be, myself included so I will leave this with my actual on topic reaction to the announcement.

I'm insanely hyped for this game and can't believe the output of these magicians at Square Enix, FF 7 Remake, Intergrade, Crisis Core Remaster, Forspoken, FF 7 Rebirth and FF 16 in the span of 4 years holy cowww! Nomura must be a god or something because the golden era of Square Enix and JRPG's is coming back, between Square, Atlus and Capcom Japanese games are back on top and I'm all for it. Can't wait to play through the entire series, many for the first time in order and maybe by the time this comes out I will be all caught up. Happy gaming and all I can say it's just good to see so much gaming news again after such a long drought.😊😊😊

Re: Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden Confirmed for PS5

GorosBat

Lmao, I was personally not worried about them coming to Playstation. Gotta say it was fun seeing the freak out over it today. Now I just want to figure out what order I play these games, I beat P5R, so maybe play 4 next and then 3 when it comes out. I'm going to double dip for 5 and 4 again, will also be the first time I buy 3. Great day for JRPG players!

Re: Rumour: More Persona Games Could Be Coming to Consoles

GorosBat

@Royalblues Because fanboys are fanboys lol and we are on a playstation centred website so you're going to see more of those opinions. FF7 gets a pass because the original was PS exclusive and we know that it will come to xbox someday, we just don't know when. I haven't seen any complaints about the Kojima game being xbox exclusive yet, which we don't even know what it is mind you so...

Re: Rumour: More Persona Games Could Be Coming to Consoles

GorosBat

PC Babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy We get it allllll, Let's Gooooooooooooo. Don't worry Playstation Only players they will 100% come eventually to ps4/5, maybe even same day.

Edit: I've been corrected, doesn't seem to be the case sadly which I'm not happy about, hopefully it's only timed (shouldn't be timed at all though, should come to everything same time)

Re: Rumour: More Persona Games Could Be Coming to Consoles

GorosBat

@WallyWest Even if they only sell 10,000 copies on xbox it's important for mindshare, knowing that people can experience these games on the platform. They'd obviously sell huge numbers on PC and Switch though so if they don't come to xbox I can at least see them on those platforms.

Prepping for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. Just finished all the quests and have decided to pick up long sword since the community says it's so OP (they were right) and am having a ball learning the new weapon. With Rise's version of hammer being terrible IMO compared to Worlds iteration I've been picking up new weapons I've never used before in the series. I now have Hunting Horn, Sword and Shield, Bow and now Long sword in my repertoire adding countless hours of replayability to this brilliant game!

Also playing I am Fish: Made by the same developers as I Am Bread so this game has janky controls to it and great environmental puzzles aswell. You control 4 different fish who get separated from each other, so they try to reunite using any means to succeed. 3 of the fish have special abilities to get through the levels. The puffer fish can inflate to be able to jump out of water higher than the rest, the piranha can chew stuff up to open new paths and the flying fish is self explanatory.

Pumpkin Jack: I know it's out of season but after playing Kao the Kangaroo I needed more 3d platformer action. I've played 2 levels so far and am enjoying the platforming more, but the combat less compared to Kao. It's also a much better experience in terms of bugs since it's been out longer which was a glaring omission with Kao.

Thanks for reading and have a good week😊😊😊

Re: Poll: Are You Happy with Your PS Plus Games for June 2022?

GorosBat

Seems like the same games circulate between all of the services, ps + game pass and humble bundle. Naruto and Boruto and Nickelodeon All stars were both in recent humble bundles. I also notice that basically anything THQ Nordic publishes ends up in these services and any other "AA" games as well, basically stops me from buying stuff like Spongebob, Greedfall, Destroy All Humans or Maneater when those games launch because I always know they will end up in a bundle or subscription. Basically if you want to guess what has a higher chance of coming to ps + look at what has come to game pass recently and this can apply vice-versa, there's just so much crossover.

@jdv95 Cabaret club is legit one of my favourite parts of the Yakuza games, it was pretty good in Kiwami 2's iteration as well, I love it when you get to the point where you learn every hand sign the girls make so you can get what they need without thinking, also a great way to earn money!

Eiyuden Chronicle Rising: After watching SuperDerek RPGs impressions on the game I just had to pick up this game. The games visuals are gorgeous and I'm delightfully surprised that traversal and combat all feel well after my bad impressions when gameplay was first shown. I'm a stickler for town building, so fetch quests have never been a problem to me, I think the developers handled it well in those regards, so far every quest tells you where to find the specific item you need to complete a quest.

I finished Danganronpa V3 this week: I usually only beat one trial per week but after I beat the 5th trial I just had to find out how this game ended and pulled an all nighter finishing this game. Wow, just wow, this game was the literal perfect ending to what is the best Visual Novel series of all time. let's just say the story takes you to another "Dimension" and completely ends the series on a high, I can see how it would be divisive though. The ending is pretty conclusive but I can easily see Spike Chunsoft making a sequel if they choose so, but I will be honest in that I'd be fine if they move onto other series like A.I the Somnium Files which seems to be topping Danganronpa. These guys are honestly my favourite studio after Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio now. Hope anyone on the fence for this series decides to try it out after reading this, you won't regret it (also you have to play in order) !

Thanks for reading and have a good week😊😊😊

Re: Reaction: Sony Kickstarts the Summer with Sizzling State of Play

GorosBat

Steam deck is 720p so you're already contradicting yourself, why are you even comparing it to PC's? I'd imagine 99% of PC gamers can play most of their games above 720p gaming, like you said most people are still at 1080p. Do you seriously think Steam Deck is going to be bought majority by your regular consumer who knows nothing about PC? You can't even buy one in Australia, maybe you should do a survey on people to see how many people outside of hardcore gaming even know what a steam deck is. You agree that it is a "handheld" right? That means it will never replace a PC, the marketing point for steam deck is, O great! I can play my PC games on the go. Steam deck is a complementary system and the purpose for people who have never got into PC gaming before is to try it, see how great PC is and then probably invest in getting an actual rig. I highly doubt "most" people are going to buy a steam deck and say that they don't want an actual desktop. Sure, I get your point, but unless steam deck sells with the dock to be like a Nintendo Switch, I am never going to see it as a console like system. Conversation over, if you disagree that's fine but I won't waste any more time on this to get my point across, have a nice day😊

Re: Final Fantasy 16 Is 'Fully Playable from Start to Finish'

GorosBat

No worries, he's a fantastic youtuber who focuses on xbox and RPGs mostly and isn't a fanboy for any system, also has a channel called retro rebound which is spectacular. He basically reports about any sought of new news on Bethesda games, which for whatever reason doesn't get picked up from most news sights. Any watcher of his channel knew that the Knights of the Old Republic remake was coming a long time before the announcement, because Matty delved deep into finding developer hiring pages and putting two and two together.

Re: Reaction: Sony Kickstarts the Summer with Sizzling State of Play

GorosBat

@Carl-G Wish other people were more like minded like you and were not all doom and gloom with these ports. I also agree that these ports shouldn't be in the show, unless it is an actual new release like the Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection. Sony should keep these announcements to blog posts instead of taking up time in SOP.

Re: Reaction: Sony Kickstarts the Summer with Sizzling State of Play

@RedRiot193 To get ps4 quality performance as my main PC experience, yeah no I will pass. The Steam Deck is a handheld and is a great introduction into the pc space, most people who get one will already have a capable PC so you'd be in the minority if you used it like a console. FYI you can already hook steam deck up to a T.V
