Re: Uncharted: Legacy Of Thieves Collection (PC) - Treasure Hunting Never Looked So Good

GorosBat

@stvevan Why does Pure Xbox cover PC stuff then? Probably because it's part of the ecosystem, so it's the same with push square and if Nintendo exclusives ever release on PC in the far future Nintendo life will cover that. Why should a website pigeonhole all of it's articles to one platform, yes most people come to the site for playstation centric news, but you can't say there is no market for news for other platforms. I'd say the majority of news is for multiplatform release games, yet people will often come to this site for that news even though they can go to any other site for a similar article.

The evidence of interest in other platforms is obvious, the most commented articles are always Activision, Bethesda and literally anything that says you can't buy a certain game on the platform, if people weren't interested and passionate they wouldn't bother to type. I'd imagine there would be an extremely small percentage of people who only use push square as their only news source for information on videogames.

I personally use several sites and youtube so I can see multiple peoples takes on news and compare it to my thoughts and see if they can change my perspective on something or affirm my beliefs. No shade to you, but at the end of the day clicks are clicks.

Re: Poll: Will You Buy the DualSense Edge PS5 Controller, Now We Have a Price?

GorosBat

Costs $315 in Australia, need I say more. I’ve owned both elite series controllers and they’ve both broke on me with stick drift, same as my dualsense controller. Also, the fact I mainly play on pc these days is another reason because the majority of games don’t natively support PS buttons for on screen prompts. Now if anyone wants a REAL controller for pc, switch or Xbox (not sure if there’s a PlayStation version) you should buy the 8 bit do pro 2 controller, literally the best controller I’ve ever had. I bought the Xbox version, but the controller has the PlayStation stick layout and a Nintendo quality D-pad and the best thing about it is you can get it wired! I play on my pc monitors, even for console games, so wired is 100% the best option for me, screw worrying about my controller disconnecting every few hours.

Re: The Outer Worlds Is Totally Coming to PS5, Even if Its Sequel Won't

GorosBat

@dark_knightmare2 3 and 4, and yes before you tell me New Vegas is the best I will say that I’ve given the Fallout series a chance and genuinely don’t have any interest in the series because of one reason, the setting. When I play a Bethesda game I want maximum immersion and the desire to explore and role play in a world that I could picture living in. The post-apocalyptic wastelands and mutated enemies are a complete turn off for me. Don’t get me wrong, I can see why people enjoy the series, it’s just a thing I like to call “my preference” and I think the Outer Worlds just has a more interesting world that appeals to me! Hope that answers your questions, but I do hope you don’t question every single person who has a differing view than yours.

Re: The Outer Worlds Is Totally Coming to PS5, Even if Its Sequel Won't

@glassmusic Completely disagree with you, this game is great, it is rare that I get so many laugh out loud moments because of dialogue choices in any game, the world is ridiculous and I love it. I'm up to Monarch which is where many people get bored of the game, but I'm having the time of my life, I'm doing every single quest I discover and can't get enough! It's also great that literally every playstyle and build works and I don't have to restart the game every time I want to mix things up.

Re: PS5's Wild Hearts Hunts Down 7 Minutes of Monster Mashing Gameplay

GorosBat

@SpaceDonkey I’ve played my fair share of single player and multiplayer in monster hunter and can say personally I prefer single player hunts. When I play MP I spend half the hunt rolling around just to get in range of monsters just to hit them as they constantly change aggro, especially fast monsters where the hunt feels like a fiesta. But SP is where it’s at, just you and the monster where it only targets you, yes it’s technically harder but you won’t have anyone interrupt you during a hunt, you get to master a monsters move set and keep improving your kill times, it gets so addictive that I’ve hunted some monsters over 100 times and can get through hunts without ever healing. Single player is so rewarding and unless this game forces players to team up, these types of game can be enjoyed by literally anyone!

Re: PS5's Wild Hearts Hunts Down 7 Minutes of Monster Mashing Gameplay

GorosBat

I’ve got over 600 hours in Monster Hunter Rise and watching this gameplay gives me the impression of Cautious optimism but I’ll need to see a hunt in full motion, see if weapons have proper combos and unique mechanisms and see if the game will give players the reason to come back, hunt monsters repeatedly and to hone our skills. High replay ability and strong build diversity are two of the main reasons monster hunter is so hard to replicate, but as stated earlier we’ll have to wait to see!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 446

GorosBat

I finally budged and bought the Final Fantasy 1-VI pixel remasters, being the first time I've ever played any of these games. What Square Enix are charging for these is almost highway robbery, but I also took into account that it takes forever for many of their games to go on a good sale, I hope once they finally get the console ports out, the pricing is much better. I payed $88 AUD and HLTB says it takes about 150 hours to beat all games, so from that standpoint it's worth it, but then again these are 25 + year old games...

Anyways I've played about 5 hours of Final Fantasy 1 and am surprised how much I'm enjoying a game that predates me.😅 Thanks for reading and happy gaming.

Playing The Diofield Chronicle this week. I don’t get why this game has such a spectrum of reviews ranging from excellent to completely mediocre, the game is just so much fun after my first 10 hours. It’s basically a prettier fire emblem that is real time, but there is so much more customisation on offer. Upgrading weapons actually matters aside from the arbitrary stat boost, each weapon decides which special skills each character can use, the game is just so diverse with there being a total of 4 classes, each having sub classes, drastically changing the gameplay and team compositions you decide to go with for the missions.

The story is interesting but I’d say the characters aren’t as interesting as Fire Emblem Three Houses. The only issue I have is the game is VERY easy, even on hard mode because you’re able to replay missions from early on and will be incentivised to do so because money is extremely scarce compared to the amount you need for literally any upgrade. But hey, I highly recommend this game to anyone who likes strategy RPGs or JRPGs in general, I’d say it’s a great introduction to the genre in general! Thanks for reading and happy gaming 😋

@JoeDiddley I vividly remember being 70 hours in and only just finishing chapter 5. Going for the platinum for this game was life changing as a gamer for me. It’s now my favourite game of all time and turned me into a trophy hunter. I hope more people catch on and realise this is one of the greatest games of the last decade.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 444

After the greatest week of gaming news of all time I have picked up Yakuza 4, 5 and 6 for my birthday and plan to dive into Yakuza 4 remastered going for all achievements which I’ve read that 4 is one of the easiest out of the series. So far my opinion on each RGG game I’ve got the play for is:

Yakuza Zero- longest and most difficult all around (requires 100% completion and took about 150 hours)

Yakuza Kiwami- Has the most difficult legendary difficulty playthrough, namely the car chase shooting section that basically requires perfection and the fact that you have to get through an entire battle section that takes about 10 minutes before you can even attempt the shootout adds to the brutal nature of that segment.

Yakuza Kiwami 2- Is the easiest out of the lot

Yakuza 3 Remastered- has the hardest mini games being pool that requires you beating the expert cpu which requires extreme luck and a ruler as I had to put one over my screen to perfectly line up my shots as this mini game requires perfection. Side note to anyone reading, don’t play this game on hard for 1st play through as they should have renamed the game to Blokuza 3 as even basic enemies block as much as bosses in other games.

Fist of the North Star Lost Paradise: Literally the most Grindy game in the series, skip it unless you are a diehard fan of the studio or a mega fan of the anime.

So wish me luck as when I decide to play one of these games I dive in until I get that juicy platinum, Yakuza Zero was the game that changed everything for me with being a completionist, made me love writing notes on my games and made me to love mahjong which tends to be the first thing I check off the list for a new Yakuza game.

Thanks for reading and I hope my passion for the series shows, but I must warn anyone thinking about going for the platinum for any of these games is that they are “very” time consuming before committing to it. I’d say if you don’t want to you should try to at least go for all sub stories as there are recurring characters that are in multiple games of the series, even in Fist of the North Star. Anyways I’m rambling on for too long about my favourite series just because I am so excited for the future of now the “Like a Dragon” franchise, happy gaming and have a good week😋

Re: Like a Dragon: Ishin! Won't Have an English Dub

GorosBat

@RudeAnimat0r I agree on the sentiment about Persona 5 and for JRPGs in general, Yakuza is the exclusion to the rule for me as I believe you should only play in Japanese because of the realism, but for Persona 5 I go with english because A. The voice acting is great and B. why do I care about Japanese authenticity for voice acting in a 150 hour game where I'm battling giant penis monsters riding a horse carriage 🤔😂🤣

Re: Like a Dragon: Ishin! Won't Have an English Dub

GorosBat

@Gloamin Some people have disabilities such as dyslexia that make constantly reading subtitles difficult, but on the opposite spectrum we have lazy people who can't be bothered in which case I hope you and other people join me and point our fingers and laugh at them. 🤣

Re: Exoprimal Remains Bonkers in Interdimensional Dino and Mech-Filled Story Trailer

GorosBat

@Uncharted2007 I've looked at your recent comments and all I see is negativity, if you never have anything nice to say why even bother posting? I hope you seek the help you need to have a more positive outlook on life, I know life can suck, believe me when I say that, I mean no malice in this reply. In the past I have made negative comments but have learnt that they only invite unconstructive arguments that don't improve anybody's life and all it does is make you sound like a baby that is crying because the toy isn't the one you wanted even though the other children in the preschool are enjoying that toy. It's this mentality of "If I can't enjoy this then no one can" that can come of as annoying for people to read, that when people see your profile they see you making a comment and then think "O, great what negative comment is this person making this time". I'm not telling you to stop, you do you, I just don't get why people like you even bother with comments like this. Have a good day 😜

Re: Rumour: Lower Your Expectations for Tonight's State of Play

With this, the Nintendo Direct and my favourite RGG Studio Games announcements, for me this has been the greatest day of gaming news in my entire life and it isn't like anything is actually blowing my mind (still waiting for a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Yakuza game) but I just look at these showcases and I'm constantly saying yep, I want that. Like god damn, we get 3 Yakuza game announcements, technically 5 if you include the 2 Judgment games getting PC ESRB ratings, what more can I ask for, I'm literally set for the next 2 years of gaming and everything that gets announced in the future is just a bonus for me!

Re: Like a Dragon Gaiden Is a Smaller Action Game Starring Kiryu in 2023

GorosBat

They won't let Kiryu retire in peace 😭. But holy cow have I got so much to catch up to, I'm only up to Yakuza 4 right now as I have made it my mission to platinum/100% achievement every single Yakuza game, guess it's time to start investing time into these games again as I take these announcements from Sega telling me to hurry the heck up and buy more Yakuza games or face the wrath of spoilers and FOMO 😂
