Re: The Last of Us Composer Gustavo Santaolalla May Have Teased a New Version of Part 2

GorosBat

@fromjtov I literally said there is no point in making these ports for ps5 when you can just buy the ps4 version on ps5, if you missed out on ps4 there is literally no reason you can't buy the ps4 version for your ps5. I'll play devils advocate and say if a ps5 version of a ps4 game came out I'd buy it if the upgrade was substantial or had all the dlc for the game or in Ghost of Tsushimas case added a new expansion. But in this case we know they aint adding anything content wise to Last of US part 2, god the game already runs at 60 fps and look great already, so just like Horizon Zero Dawn does not need a ps5 port and IMO sony should focus on games that could actually use some exposure such as Gravity Rush 2 which is ps4 only and locked at 30 fps. Again let me reiterate this is my opinion and you can disagree with me but to sum up my thoughts over ps4-5 ports:

Game already runs at 60 fps on ps5 and no new content will be added, no need for a port.
Game runs at 30 fps, has tons of dlc already, a new expansion will coincide with a ps5 version or gets a massive facelift I think it's alright.

@Rob_230 I 100% agree with you on this. Sony is starting to become the next Nintendo, re-releasing all their old games from only 1 generation ago for full price, I think what makes this worse is so many of these games already have ps5 patches or just work better because they're running on better hardware. At least in Nintendos case the Wii U sold so poorly that the majority of the switch fan base haven't played the wii u games and there's no native backwards compatibility at all on switch. You can play all the sony exclusives from last gen so IMO it's a complete waste of resources unless the game is getting a PC port.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Diablo 4?

GorosBat

@EngFin I think the worst thing about the game is that you can’t save build load outs which is super annoying since you might get a new legendary item for a completely different build. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve changed builds and at this point if costs over 200k gold every time I respec and can take over 20 minutes to do so each time. I also second the stash size, which is ridiculous because you get the one stash shared between all your characters so I have to sell over half my legendaries just to play multiple classes.

9/10 Great game but I played so much that I got burnt out super hard once I beat the main story and got into end game realising all it offers is stat buffs on your pre-existing legendary items with a few unique items you can get on world tier 3 that force your builds. I honestly don’t see the point in continuing any further until I have a bit of a break, game was still awesome and worth the extra money I payed for early access because I haven’t no lifed a game so hard since Elden Ring!

Re: Honkai: Star Rail Fans Hope Livestream Will Include a PS5, PS4 Release Date

GorosBat

It's worth the wait, this was my first gacha and I already have 60 + hours into it and haven't spent a dime! If you take your time with the game you will accumulate enough resources to get most of the characters. I'm only missing 1 four star character and have pulled 3 five star characters. I like the cycle of logging in, doing my dailies, clearing the map of enemies and maybe doing a quest or two each day. I'd imagine if people rushed the game they wouldn't enjoy the game as much because you quickly run out of resources. Highly recommend it to anyone who likes turn based RPG's because the combat is fire 🔥

After beating Star Wars Jedi Survivor I've had no idea what game to play so I started Honkai Star Rail on PC and have been playing it all week. I missed the boat on Genshin Impact so thought I'd give this one a go making this my first gacha experience and I'm surprised how good the game is. It's basically a flashy anime turn based RPG and over my play time so far it's been completely F2P friendly so far and I've had no desire or need to spend any money. I have a pretty good party right now and everyone can get at least one 5 star character early on excluding the main character. I was originally going to wait for the ps5 version but my PC can run it and it's free so why not? Pretty fun game to casually play on the side and an overall chill time, sign in, do dailies, level up a little bit and maybe progress the story a little. Going to enjoy the game at my own pace and nut rush any content for FOMO because there is none for a single player game!

Re: Oh No, the Bloodborne Remake Rumours Have Returned

GorosBat

Still the only Souls game I haven’t beat, these rumors have been going on since the ps4 pro came out for increased frame rate. At this point if the game isn’t a remake I don’t know what Sony are thinking because it is a free money printing machine for them, especially on pc for the hardcore Souls fan base.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?

GorosBat

Simply my favourite Star Wars game of all time and a true disappointment at the same time from performance. But because the game is so good I’m tolerating the fps drops that aren’t too frequent any more after the latest patch. It really seems to be planet Koboh that has the worst issue and it’s weird but the further I’ve got through the story the better the performance, either that or I’m conditioned to the frame drops after 30 hours and simply don’t care about them anymore because the game is so gosh darn fun!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 474

GorosBat

Was going to play Jedi Survivor but the fps is horrendous once you get out of the tutorial planet that I simply can't tolerate the state this game launched in. If this was just on pc sure, thats the norm right now with pc ports, but this is on consoles too and it's flat out unplayable. Blurry image clarity, literally making this look worse than Fallen Order and sub 20 fps in the open world and cutscenes means I'm going to be forced to wait to play the game I paid for that should have been delayed a couple weeks, not to mention EA half a#sed the physical version where I swear the disk only held about 20 GB of the 150 to install the game, literally had to wait over 3 hours for the game to finish installing using my phone data because Australian home internet is so bad that you literally get the download speed at 1/5 of the advertised speed giving me 5 mbs compared to my phone plan which was 4 times faster, which also costs less than my home internet. AHHHHHHH. The actual game is really good though 😂

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?

SO I got to planet kobol and this performance is just terrible on performance mode, I tried quality mode for about 20 seconds before I had to change it because I got literal motion sickness from playing it. To think that the console versions are bad but the PC versions are far worse is inexcusable and has ruined the launch of this game, the worst thing about this is this game is amazing and has improved on literally every facet of Fallen Order. Guess I'm going to wait for the patches because this game deserves better performance and I can't handle the drop to 15 fps in open areas.

Re: Can You Put a Price on a Quality RPG? Yes, and It's Rising All the Time

GorosBat

I think developers just need to go back to making shorter games. Don't get me wrong I love longer games like The Witcher 3 which I've got almost 200 hours in a single playthrough doing everything in it, but how long are we going to wait for Geralts next adventure, another 5 years from now? Look at the 360/PS3 generation where we got so many trilogies it's not funny. For example the Mass Effect Trilogy is small in comparison to the Witcher 3, we got all 3 in the span of about 5 years and they each clock up about 30 hours each if you complete everything. The positive of this is we get more games which is a win and we don't expect a massive jump from game to game and will instead get incremental upgrades between sequels which I love. Long development just increases the expectations of every game to the point where we expect The Witcher 4 and Elder Scrolls 6 to be monumental leaps compared to their predecessors. I look at my favourite series ever, the Yakuza/Like a Dragon Series. None of these games have massive changes going game to game except Yakuza 7 which was an overhaul, yet they understand what works and are able to pump these games out like a Chinese sweat shop. Maybe lowering the budget of these large scale AAA projects would be good in the long run, but it's really up to one of these major companies to have a crack at it because I'm honestly quite sick of waiting literal years between good western developed games whilst I get to play dozens of great JRPGs every single year!
