@3Above Two Mario games and Monster Hunter are doing the trick for Nintendo, plus the new Fire Emblem is selling really well. But like Savino pointed out, 3DS really struggled in its first few months and now it's unstoppable in Japan. I'm confident Vita will go through the same upswing when the big games start piling in
@Slaysme I think the gist is "good idea, bad execution" — when it takes a minute or two to open every move you can tell how that would really slow the game down. I know it's one of those first world problems, but if the execution were better it'd be more enjoyable
@TOMBOY25 It should be in safe hands with Sumo Digital — they've got stacks of experience creating portable racing games. Really looking forward to this!
@Knuckles I own the original Sonic Triple Trouble on Game Gear and have access to a region-free 3DS too You'll notice sometimes we get US writers to review EU games and vice versa, depending on who's the best candidate for the job. We always find a way to make it work!
@Ginkgo Oddly not confirmed, but I hope so. Eurocom did a great job with the Move controls in GoldenEye Reloaded, but I'm not even 100% sure if 007 Legends is first- or third-person.
@WolfRamHeart In the UK they're on the same day — 2am for Sony, 5pm for Nintendo I expect Nintendo will confirm its conference time/date but it's always been 9am Pacific on Tuesday :
@ShogunRok It's hard to say how big it is because this preview version ended after I reached a certain quest, so I haven't seen the full game. So far it seems more on par with Oblivion than Skyrim, which is fine by me — there's a lot of running and walking, and the day/night cycle makes it dangerous to go out at night. I certainly did a lot of travelling though, and there are lots of areas I didn't discover judging from my map!
@rjejr Nope, not really like Monster Hunter. This is free-roaming, quest-driven and has far less grinding. There's no lock on either but you don't need it as it's much quicker than Monster Hunter — much less position-attack-dodge and much more attack-attack-attack-dodge. I know you can hack bits off giant monsters but that's really the only similarity
@sony_70 Glad you're excited for this. I think you'll like it!
I forgot to mention you can cut bits of them off too — you can take down a Chimera's heads one by one, or target the head of a hydra and slice it off, which is pretty cool.
@SeVok Ripstone tells me the game's now confirmed for 18th April
@MitchConcannon The "Episodes from Liberty City" in this update is the two add-on packs "Ballad of Gay Tony" and "The Lost & Damned", but doesn't include the original GTA IV. If there's a bundle on the store, I'd wager it's all three games, but don't take that as gospel!
@Knuckles Sammy wrote this review before we joined forces Also, you may remember Corbie reviewed Sonic Triple Trouble for NL, so I don't always review Sonic games, just most of them!
@get2sammyb It's also about how well the company handles the submission + testing process; if it's only a small team it might not have the manpower to line up all its intercontinental ducks in one go.

@rjejr They're not charging for online passes if you buy your games brand new
Re: Tomb Raider Skulks into 2013
I've been really excited for this since the E3 showing last year. Now I have to wait longer? Not cool

@Savino Not sure what you mean. Can you explain?
Re: Snap Up a Beyond Good & Evil 2 Screenshot
Bravo, @Magi
Re: Beyond Good & Evil 2 is in "Active Creation"
"Hasn't aged particularly well"? You blasphemer, it's one of the best download games there is. Shame on you.

Tweets deleted for MAXIMUM CONFIRMATION.
But yeah, it wouldn't be complete with Cole.
Re: Reverge Labs Confirms Cross-Platform Play for Skullgirls
@Master-Nas Well it's not announced for Vita so don't go getting your hopes up
Re: Store Update: 1st May 2012 (North America)
Hi guys, apologies for the mix-up — Battlefield and Disney Universe are only on PS3, not PS Vita.
Re: Sony Celebrates Battle Royale Reveal with Contenders Sale
£9.99 for Sly Cooper trilogy HD? I was going to buy Sonic CD and VF4 but think I might get this instead!

Re: God of War: Ascension Has 8-Player Multiplayer
@Levelfailer Kratos isn't in multiplayer apparently!

@rjejr In the full game you can remove screen clutter and turn down/off NPC chatter!
Re: Store Update: 24th April 2012 (North America)
Huzzah! I'll be downloading the DD demo as soon as it hits the EU store. Love that your progress carries over to the full game.
Re: Resistance Trilogy Getting Bundled Up
Good old Olly Moss, always quality art with him.
Re: Feature: Should Games Find Inspiration in Television?
@Stuffgamer1 For precisely that point Besides, it's not a PlayStation game, so there's that.
Re: PlayStation Plus Update: May 2012 (Europe)
Think I may buy myself some PlayStation Plus as a present.
Re: Feature: Should Games Find Inspiration in Television?
@Stuffgamer1 Seeing as it's not actually out yet, I think we can definitely be excused
Re: Hacked PSP Titles Return to PSN
Now everyone go buy Everybody's Tennis because it's awesome.

Sonic 4, however, will be all mine!

Re: Rumour: Sony Developing Monster Hunter Clone for Vita
I could really go for some MH-style action on Vita.
Re: Amazon Leaks God of War: Ascension
I would imagine another studio (Ready at Dawn maybe?) is working on a Vita GoW

Re: Sony's E3 Press Conference to Drop Bombs on 4th June
Looks like I'm getting up early Tuesday for this one, which is great as Tuesday's also Nintendo's conference.
Still love you, E3.

It's out for PlayStation Plus subscribers in the Europe I believe — not on general sale just yet

I sent £5 his way earlier. Well played Julian — you're an inspiration

@rjejr I hope you traded it in for Skies of Arcadia.

Re: The Legend of Dragoon Spreads Its Wings on PSN in May
@Jamouse Opinions differ quite wildly on that front! It's not exactly original but it's got its qualities.
Re: Store Update: 11th April 2012 (Europe)
@TOMBOY25 I haven't played it on Vita, you're best asking @Corbie or @nathanuc1988 Thanks for the shout-out in your MW3 profile too, looks great!
Re: The Legend of Dragoon Spreads Its Wings on PSN in May
Great news — a tremendous RPG though, let's be honest, not as good as the other dragoon RPG
Re: Store Update: 11th April 2012 (Europe)
@TOMBOY25 Be my guest! Thanks for the kind words too — feel free to spread the word however you can, we'd certainly appreciate it
Re: Store Update: 11th April 2012 (Europe)
@TOMBOY25 The Vita version was supposed to hit today but has been delayed. Should be out in the next two weeks apparently. Cheers for the heads up
Re: Zen Pinball 2 Rolls Out on PS3 and Vita This Spring
I would say 3DS or Wii U, hopefully with similar cross-platform features as here.
Re: It's Raining Phantoms and Ogres in Dragon's Dogma Trailer
@odd69 We'll have something to get you up to speed on Monday
Re: First Impressions: Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2

Re: Pachter: PS3 Price Cut "Likely" At E3
At the moment PS3 starts at $249.99 US. Of course it infamously launched at $599 five and a half years ago
Re: Sonic 4: Episode II Makes a Date with PSN on 15th May
Just PS3
Re: Skullgirls Picks a Fight with PSN on 10th April
@get2sammyb It's also about how well the company handles the submission + testing process; if it's only a small team it might not have the manpower to line up all its intercontinental ducks in one go.
Anyway, it'll be worth the wait, EUers
Re: Sonic 4: Episode II Makes a Date with PSN on 15th May
Bring it on.
