Re: Poll: Did You Buy Call of Duty: Vanguard?

This is the first one I bought since COD 2 on PC back in the day. Opposed to a lot of people here, I quite like the WW2 theme. As a teenager I was quite obsessed with everything WW2, thanks to my dad who was into model building. Seeing the trailers reminded me of the pictures in the many books he had about the war.

Just got the platinum trophy in ME1 last night, started playing Rift Apart and couldn't put it down. 12 year old me wouldn't believe he / I'd be playing this 30 years later. Incredible how video games have evolved. I'll try to squeeze some FF7RR and ME2 in as well.

I'll also be playing my new bass. And then there's Belgium vs. Russia (Euro 2020) , and Belgium vs. Greece (women's basketball, preparation for Euro 2021).

No rest for the wicked!

@Shepherd_Tallon Yeah, we can't complain about the amount of high quality titles coming our way, but man, it's just impossible to keep up! I don't understand how people can possibly cope with a service such as Game Pass Ultimate. Call me old school, but I like to absorb a game like a good book or a nice meal. Rushing through a title to be able to start with the next just feels wrong to me.

Late to the party. Busy weeks...
Had a great time scrolling through the loooong list .

For what it's worth: here's my top 10 (no particular order):

  • GTA IV
  • Fallout 3
  • IL-2 Sturmovik (need a sequel now!)
  • Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
  • Mass Effect 2 & 3
  • Metal Gear Solid 4
  • Red Dead Redemption
  • Street Fighter IV
  • Skyrim

@SilenceCZ I hear you on the day one nonsense. I've bought my systems on launch day since the SNES days, and the only one failing on me ever was a PS3 after 7 years...

In my twenties I've worked at a major games retail chain here in Belgium quite a few years during the PS2 and PS3 era, and we never noticed such phenomenon. Also, in my experience Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft always were very helpful and professional about replacing or repairing hardware. These lawsuits are just ridiculous and unnecessary.
