Lost my HC character to him as well - what makes it even worse is as he appeared I lost connection to the servers. Sat there waiting a few minutes with nothing on screen attacking me and then got the message that your hero died. Hurled a lot of abuse at the screen after that!!! As you succinctly put it complete b’stard!!!

There’s definitely less jabbering but sometimes it’s completely out of context, for example a marine will starting spouting that there’s a Xeno in the area and there’s nothing there. The game is still quite buggy (literally) as it crashed on me three times yesterday. Overall it didn’t hinder my enjoyment of the game.

What happened to your Aliens Dark Descent run? I finally finished it yesterday and it was a banger of game - will go for the platinum on this one. Also downloaded Pillars of Eternity 2 yesterday (been in my pile for a long time). If I recall correctly you said it was a great game…

Finished Signalis and loved it. Now playing Tunic - what a brilliant little game. Just sticking with smaller games until GOWR releases.

Signalis - great little game that takes me back to the PS1 era. Damn I miss the PS1 days…

I finish my current job at the beginning of November and then have a two week break until I start the new one. The release just so happens to fall smack bang in the middle of said break - so much for the DIY I had planned.

Backwards compatibility is on the individual developer not MS. That’s why they’ve published a list of all their backwards compatible software. I was holding out on the FEAR games for a while before they became playable.

I’d give up my left testicle to make sure this happens.

F.E.A.R 2 and 3 - they’ve aged graphically but damn do they play well as shooters. And Inscription which is weird but very good (love the stoat).

Well after passing my crappy pension paper on Wednesday I have nothing to study for the next few weeks and have loads of free time (until my next book arrives). So I am all over this later today. Thanks for the review.

Nope not contentious at all - you’re bang on with that assessment.

Shadow of The Colossus. Bought it in 2005, played a bit and then got distracted by other games. Picked up the remake after all these years and I’m nearly at the end. Took its time to grow on me but finally I love it (whereas Ico and The Last Guardian I loved from the outset). On the side Halo Infinite MP.
