I wouldn't mind too much if it ended up like Wolfenstien. That had a decent balance of story with run & gun gameplay. Considering Shadow Warrior is one of the best shooters on Ps4 for me, a straight up run & gun classic wouldn't be a bad idea either
Still not hyped at all, or even interested. I'm thinking of firing up Witcher 2 tomorrow and seeing if that can drum up any interest for next week. Considering most games that get hyped by the mainstream these days end up being bangers, I'm staying cautios
Witcher 3 is best on PC? and I was gonna get it on Ps4. Thanks guys for letting me know that the PC I have which is used for typing up articles & visual novels (2.4ghz Core2Duo, 4GB ddr2 ram, radeon hd 6670) can run Witcher 3 better than the Ps4. I'll be able to save myself a bit of money on the purchase now
its amazing when you look at some kickstarters where millions are pumped into it on the hype of who is behind the game, yet former Studio Liverpool devs who created one of the most consistently great series over the years can't even scrape enough together for a console release
Another year, another generic Assassins Creed. I'll have to see a lot more without the usual Ubisoft PR fluff before I even consider picking up the game.
Not much that tickles my fancy, but I'm still going to try every one. Its good getting games you wouldn't normally pick up yourself as you can occasionally be pleasantly surprised, like I was with Doki Doki Universe.
Tabata's response to Cindy being 'too sexy' was pure gold. Just goes to show how ridiculous commentators are in the west.
I've only played a little of the demo. Bought a preowned Type 0 that still had an unused code luckily, but I've been enjoying Type 0 enough to leave the FFXV demo for now. Might just wait for the patch to finish it off as it doesn't seem to play too well from what I've tried so far.
I'll never understand why people preorder AAA games. Your pretty much guaranteed a copy at launch anyway and the preorder bonuses are usually pitiful.
I think the only time I've ever preordered was for titles like Senran Kagura Burst, as your never guaranteed being able to pick up a copy of a niche game at launch. Most places only order in enough to cover preorders
The Silent Hills teased & announced at E3 with that P.T. demo is no more, instead we'll likely get an outsourcedone from a lowkey studio with as little funding from Konami as possible. No wonder Konami are keeping quiet...
Good old Treyarch. The way the coop was implemented in World at War, with the competitive scoring mode, was one of the best coop modes available in the series. Hopefully Treyarch return to it
Sounds about right. I've been enjoying it every now and again, it's good for a quick blast every now & again, but it seems a bit light on content for longer playthroughs
I really couldn't care less even tho I had ran into the issue a few months ago. If spending a couple of minutes deleting a few greedy saves from the cloud storage is too much for you, you have issues. 1GB is enough. I'd prefer to have the choice of what to be uploaded like I've always done with important Vita & Ps3 saves, instead of the Ps4 doing all saves automatically. That's the only issue with it really.
I was playing Call of Duty: Finest Hour on Ps2 last night. Was Interesting going back to where it all began on consoles after all this time & the wealth of annualised releases.
New game plus is a lacklustre incentive to play through a game again. If the game was truly great in the first place, you wouldn't need NG+ to entice you into another playthrough. I think Yakuza 3 is the only game that I've made use of NG+ on to help mop up side quests on a second playthrough. To be honest it's such a good game I would have started a new session even if the plus wasn't there anyway.
1.8GB is nothing. That'd only take about 2 minutes to download & install on my connection. No 5gb+ patch so I can sit around moaning for 5 minutes before I play the game, No sale
Using the remote play app on my phone, I was able to switch high quality before the update. I guess that just meant visual quality. I'll test it to see if the 60fps update applies to the mobile app too..
@KALofKRYPTON XMB REPRESENT!! The PSTV seriously needs a UI overhaul, it's pretty much the biggest problem with it as things are a tad clunky when using a controller.
@get2sammyb Replacing the standard 5400rpm driver with a 7200rpm HDD with a decent size cache would give a nice boost too, for a fraction of the price an SSD of the same size would cost
@get2sammyb I play Shinovi Versus on the big screen via PSTV. If your ashamed of the games you play, then you shouldn't be playing it in the first place
The Beta was enough for me to decide not to buy the game yet, I'll be waiting till drops in price. As a long time vet to the series, I found most of the small changes detrimental to the series gameplay. The cops & robbers premise wasn't really enticing either. EA should just get DICE to do another Battlefield 1942 (1943 wasnt too bad) once they've finished with Battlefront.
@Flurpsel It's crazy how the lack of destruction hasn't been pointed out a lot more. I dont even remember there being any at all during the Beta
I dunno, it sounds a bit like your saying indie games are the saviour of gaming at a few points in the article lol honestly, the rife corruption & generic releases of late don't exactly paint that part of the industry in the same light as when it seemed to emerge on consoles a while back
I think people are just looking into all this too much. People are hired & fired every day, theres redundancies & employment drives all the time in business. Just because it happens at a development studio instead of a KFC doesn't make the situation different
I guess the "bu bu but you gotta add all the 3DS sales together!" obligatory comments aren't going to appear this time seen as combined sales are lower....
To be honest, I don't like the look of the backgrounds for the stages. The original Amplitude had some fantastic style to its backgrounds whilst these for the new release just look a bit mundane in the screenshots
Anyone else play Frequency, the precursor to Amplitude? Haven't seen anyone mention it at all yet.
