@get2sammyb I'll go first. As a PS+ subscriber I already have access to the remastered version. I have never played the game before so is this new one worth shelling out for or do I stick with the copy I already have?
Let's be kind and call this an homage, but seriously why are people so desperate to hate on this game? Give it a chance. There is nothing I want more than for Sonic to be great again.
Inevitable but disappointing nonetheless. Is a full blown Astro game on PS5 (not VR) too much to ask? Or at least playable on both. I can't be bothered with the VR stuff (let alone the extra expense) and I can't be alone it that?
What a ridiculous headline and article. Aren't we all meant to be video game fans here? Since when is a new trailer for the new game of one of the most iconic characters in history something to be "subjected" to? If you are not looking forward to the game then fine go write something else, but some of us are still giving this the benefit of the doubt. I want the game to be great and I welcome the opportunity for a new trailer to get us all excited again
Now that's more like it! For anyone who hasn't played Little Nightmares I strongly recommend it. It's a Limbo/Inside style of game that's genuinely creepy with some horrific characters. Whisper it but enjoyed it more than Inside.
@MightyDemon82 If you only get one then get the third one "Zelda Encyclopaedia". The second one (Art & Artifacts) is pure art so whilst beautiful there are no words or info to go with it.
@Dezzy70 That's a good point so I googled it and found this from PushSquare in May:
"Horizon Forbidden West has come top of the newest weekly UK sales chart documenting physical purchases thanks to the latest PS5 hardware bundle offered by Sony. While the official bundle only included a code for a digital download, Chris Dring of GamesIndustry.biz has clarified GfK counts codes supplied in bundles as physical sales. As a result, the PlayStation exclusive takes first place."
For the first time last month I didn't even bother to claim anything (already have God of War with the PS+ collection on PS5). Thankfully I had been holding off getting Crash 4 so I'm chuffed that's up next.
@Voltan Fair enough, I stand corrected (serves me right for not googling to check). The intention was that it was full of PS4 games though so I had no expectation that free upgrades would be a given. What I do find annoying with the collection is when you have a situation with something like Persona 5 or FFXV but you can't pay an upgrade fee for the Royal editions (I don't think you can anyway, I haven't checked so please correct me if I am wrong again).
Lego Star Wars on sale already? Surprising given how it's been constantly at the top of the charts since release. Was planning on getting it cheap in a few months time but may take the plunge sooner now.
This has to be reversed. I can only assume they will come out and say it's a computer glitch that calculated the difference owing by looking at the purchase price instead of the standard price. They may just get away with it if they do it quickly. Let this linger though and the reputational damage will be done.
@themuckman Agreed, the games you mentioned are easily worth price of admission alone. Valhalla is part of the Ubisoft classics range and bizarrely is the only AC game (so far) but is generous nonetheless. Guardians of the Galaxy is a great addition too. The only thing that worries me is how long the games will hang about on the service? Imagine being 80 hours into RDR2 and then it disappears one month.
That's a well worded update that hopefully means people will treat speedrunning with the respect it deserves. I don't generally enjoy the glitchy categories either but there are plenty of other categories available that are more fun to watch if people want to seek them out.
@danlk1ng Even at their sales prices the new PS Plus Extra is cheaper for a year than just Miles Morales and Returnal added together. I genuinely can't figure out if Sony actually want us to sign up to it or not?
@get2sammyb Who said anything about converting existing PS5 owners? Nonsense like locking people out of a 70 quid game, increasing the grind to intentionally push them towards microtransactions and charging huge amounts of real money for cars IN A 70 QUID GAME! and then trying to justify it by essentially saying "this is for your own good" makes Sony look terrible. Maybe existing PS5 owners won't switch, but lots of undecided Next Gen first timers definitely will.
Is this still popular? (genuine question, not a dig). Feels like they have really missed the boat by not making this multiplat yet. Where on Earth is the Switch version? Will anyone still be playing when it finally comes out?
Am I right in thinking that to access GTA Online you have to play a certain amount of the single player first? If so then how would that work on PS Plus if you don't have the base game? (I think I am the only gamer in the world who doesn't own GTA V but I do have PS+)
@TheCollector316 The Uncharted one was a hoax I'm afraid. Doesn't mean it couldn't happen in the future though, I'm sure Horizon won't be the only collaboration. I love the Sonic one too and the Mario 64 set. They are doing some really great stuff lately.
I don't think we can take much from 30 mins of carefully controlled footage. Will wait for reviews of this out in the wild to see if it really has finally been fixed.
Sorry, is it meant to be surprising that a machine is better at playing computer games than a human? Of course the AI is better, hardly the gamechanger they were touting.
@ShogunRok 1. If you only own Unchartered 4 (not DLC) and upgrade for £10 do you get Lost Legacy too? 2. If I buy cheap secondhand disc of Unchartered 4 for a few pennies and pay the upgrade, am I now essentially in possession of the £45 PS5 version for a fraction of the cost?
Hi everyone, need some advice. I recently finished the main story of God of War and loved my time with it (although final battle slightly underwhelming). I did a lot of the sidequests and had thoughts of platinumning it but so far the post-game stuff (that mist world) seems like dull busy work. Is it worth persevering with some or all of it (Valkyries, ravens etc)?
Is this really needed? We've had the remastered version already so this seems like a waste of resources. Still, might as well milk it for all it's worth I guess.
@get2sammyb Yeah seems that way. Probably been emboldened by the PS5 breaking records left, right and centre despite costing almost 500 quid. Could work for them but it just feels like a hard sell, especially when considering how difficult it is to market VR - unlike a standard PS5 game.
Really worried about the cost of this. The 1st PSVR was great value but hard to see how this new one could be that affordable. Hard to see VR ever going mainstream unless they get that price down.

This is going to be 200 quid isn't it.

I think I Kickstartered this? I was drawn in by the Hollow Knight vibes.

@zupertramp Yes it's still a digital code even for disc version PS5. That way you can't immediately trade it in you see...
Re: Announcements, World Premieres Coming in Gamescom Opening Night Live This Month
I don't really know who Geoff Keighley is or who appointed him Pope of Video Games. All I know is I want him to go away.

Re: UK Sales Charts: Horizon Forbidden West Soars Back to the Top
@MightyDemon82 Dark Horse published the fantastic trio of Zelda art books which I have on my coffee table, they really are wonderful.
As for Forbidden West I'm not saying it is undeserving of success, just that calling it the top-seller is a bit misleading.
Re: UK Sales Charts: Horizon Forbidden West Soars Back to the Top
@Danloaded It's because it's bundled with new PS5s so pretty much everyone who buys a new console is getting a copy whether they want one or not.
Re: God of War Ragnarok Collector's Editions Revealed, Two Have Mjolnir
How can you include a steelbook but not the disc? That is so stupid. They really don't want you trading in do they?

Fair enough. It is called "the PS4 collection" after all. Would have been a nice bonus but not a big deal.

For the same price you can buy a whole year of PS+ Extra which includes TLoU Remastered. I know which I'd rather spend my money on.

The Premium tier isn't much to write home about but the Extra tier is looking really healthy already. That's a pretty great line up if you ask me.

@Falkirk4life It is available in UK for £69.99. That seems very reasonable indeed to me.

That is gorgeous. If that price is correct then that is a steal by Lego standards too.
Not game related but check out the new Jurassic Park T Rex Breakout diorama as well.
