I literally put no time into GT7 when playing on TV, that’s reserved for Rebirth and Dragons Dogma; but I’ve exclusively put in 40+ hours in on the Portal. It’s perfect for that device.

To be fair, I think a 2024 “6” for a game in what is now a “B” franchise is equivalent to a 2004 8/10.

That said, I’m stoked to explore Derceto just based off of the fact that it’s art design doesn’t feel generic like so many games coming out of the AAA space these days.

@Royalblues Agreed, personally I feel that no one should be selling anything to an enemy power. If Tencent was HK or Taiwan based, it would be a different story, but I find it truly unsettling that they are swooping up so many western interests.

@FatallyYours117 It's not enhanced for PS5, but the frame rate is stable late into your city's life on the console.

Also you should be able to build two lane roads at the freeway off-ramp now, at least that's how I remember it from when I last played a couple months back.

@nessisonett I'd kill to see Wes Anderson adapt Resident Evil, Bill Murray could be Chris Redfield, Gwenyth Paltrow as Claire, Luke Wilson as Leon, and Tilda Swinton as the Licker with a special appearance from Ralph Fiennes as the Tyrant.

Gonna be frank, these are the weakest entries of their respective franchises (well, not Deus Ex, but between MD and Human Revolution, it's the weaker one). Hopefully it's good, but I wouldn't have led with these games.

Console launch COD player here, meaning I've only played the original Modern Warfare, Advance Warfare (since it came out at the same time I bought my PS4), and Black Ops: Cold War. I enjoyed all three, but I never felt compelled to play any other games in the franchise

I'm wondering if it is being delayed to prep a PS5 optimization patch before it launches.

Honestly I'm fine with an "enhanced remake" since I plan to get this on Switch as long as those control schemes exist there. I already own the PS Classics on PS5, so I don't think I'll double dip there.

@JamieO IMHO it's not the best remake every (that still goes to RE2 in my book, but their respective budgets are a whole different story), but I urge people to buy it anyways. SE should bring back Actraiser good and proper!

Edgelord: The Game.

I'm gonna be an outlier here, but Control's combat situations overstayed their welcome, but it was still a great game. I feel that Alan Wake is a bit more well rounded out.

They have remade some incredibly influential games, so I'm interested in seeing where they direct that experience to next.

Am I the only person that forgot this game existed?

I typically Day 1 releases for games like this, but I feel like I can wait after the volley of Deathloop marketing that has been directed at consumers, so maybe when it goes on sale...

Probably one of the best games media presentations in a while. Lots of great reveals and very happy that a lot of it was narrative game focused vs multiplayer.

I'm calling it now. 35 minutes dedicated to Jumping Flash 3.

@Spiders Yeah, new tech is always like this though and it doesn't help that substantial progress between consoles seemed to end with the ps2-->ps3 transition. I don't think PS4 fully hit stride until Arkham Knight came out, so we will probably have to wait until 2023 until we receive something on the PS5 that truly feels next-gen. With that being said, I have immensely enjoyed Returnal, R&C, & all my optimized games running on PS5, so I look forward to what the PS5 can pull off in the future when every aspect of the console is optimized.

Yo, for all of those pissed about a price increase, the title does say "option", which implies that PS+ as it exists currently probably won't go anywhere.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be happy with a patch for this game and call it a day. I feel Rockstar should focus their energy on a new title rather than "remaster" a remaster. I get that shareholders want to milk that GTAO cash cow as much as possible and fully expect Rockstar titles to take years to produce just based on all the detail they pour into their releases, but I don't feel like the studio deserves the level of respect they get with how anti-consumer friendly their developments are.

Actually very happy about this. Right now there are only a handful of PS5 native racers and this one get the closest to scratching that arcade itch for me. Will be excited to take it for a spin with it's new hand-massage update.

I totally agree with Sammy. Not a pot-shot towards Microsoft, Arkane, or Bethesda, but some of us choose to only play one of the two new consoles. Quite frankly, knowing that a franchise will start on one console with timed exclusivity, but ultimately will be locked into another console's ecosystem as the franchise potentially grows is a bit inconvenient. Maybe if I didn't have a gaming PC, I'd also get a Series X, and with that said, I will luckily have means to play any sequels; but I can see why this doesn't sit well with some people.

Honestly, let Xbox owners have it. We have some true bangers that are only in the PS ecosystem and while it's unfortunate it won't be multi-plat on console, I think it's good that those players will have something to be proud of on their system... in 1.5 years. I'll just get back to platinuming* Rift Apart now.

Will be interesting to see how this one works on console since there was some very PC-centric functionality to it...

@Constable_What This is an incredibly important thing to point out in crunch arguments. If you're an hourly employee and you're not being appropriately compensated with OT, that isn't just unethical, it's also illegal. If you are salary and exempt from OT, yeah it sucks to be in crunch mode, but most likely the original employment contract states that longer hours are either a possibility or probability.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think crunch is right, but the crunch situation isn't as binary as most people think. And as a person that has had to deal with crunch, it happens in far more industries than imaginable.

Demon's Crest remake or bust.

Ehhhhh, Tiny Tina was a cute character in a limited capacity during BL2 and barely palatable in BL3. Knowing Gearbox, this isn't a rumor since they are the gaming industry's obnoxious younger cousin who get's in trouble for setting ***** on fire.

@ElMarko Typically I'd think this is hyperbole, but you're right, the amount of consumer's money and time that has been impacted by CDPR because of the game's launch status actually does have the game up there with the red ring of death situation.

I love that the graph only measures months, so we don't have any metrics to compare the progress against. With that being said, I mostly enjoyed my time with CP2077, but knowing that the PS5 is incoming at some point, I just kinda stopped playing and really don't have any desire to go back until I can get my free upgrade.

It would be awesome if the third game was actually a rhythm game or an arcade racer.

Wow, a month where I actually don't own any of the games already. Sweet, I've been waiting for Squadrons to go on a deep sale and now knowing that VF5 is on the Dragon engine, has me stoked for that release.

I swear I saw this as "Life of Pi" and was hoping for a raft-bound souls-like.

Man, Deep Silver treats SR3 like it's re-releasing Fantasia from the Disney vault or something, except instead of Fantasia, you get some Polish knock-off.
