Re: Killzone Dev Refuses to Rule Out Future Games

Like everyone said, Just go back to what made Killzone 2 (and 3 to a lesser extent) so good and you'll strike gold with Killzone 5... Also, there's was something about the lore and background story regarding the universe Killzone drafted up, I forget.

Or they could remaster Killzone 2.

Re: Gran Turismo Sport Delayed to 2017 on PS4

Well you know what they say, Greatness Awaits (it will never stop being relevant) I was expecting this, at least it's not as bad as GT5... Yet.

@get2sammyb
"could have helped Polyphony get stuff done on time." Several delays for Driveclub, then several delays for the Plus Edition. Put a pair of mismanaged studios together and you just add to the mess, they should actually find a studio who can do stuff on time.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: Definitive Ex Emerges on Amazon

@GlynCR
Unfinished story (the remainder of which was incredibly poor), repetitive gameplay (fun at a point), silent protagonist (poor justification), forgettable soundtrack, lack of engaging boss battles & There's absolutely no purpose to anything you do in the game, at no point did I feel engaged or even remotely interested in anything going on.

In short, it's everything an MGS game is not supposed to be.

You shouldn't see a person's name more than twice in an game, seeing it anymore than that (over 50!) becomes very annoying.

I reckon this is a simple GOTY edition (whether Konami goes the extra mile is down to them), which won't add anything to TPP's incredibly repetitive, boring, unsatisfactory & thin paper story.

Re: Kojima Productions' Logo Movie Is As Self-Indulgent As You'd Expect

Punished_Boss_84

Yeah, getting people hyped on absolutely nothing thus far (it may be similar to what a FF remake, Crash Trilogy Remake and Shenmue III achieved). Kojima lost his way a long time ago, granted that may have to do with being attached to nothing but MGS, however that Death Stranding trailer....

@BLPs
You should play The Phantom Pain, it's basically what every "movie" complainer wanted: A game that defies all standards and just becomes a non-MGS game in the process.

Not to disagree with you in regards to Sony's marketing, but in this instance: how else are they suppose to announce it?
Edit: Also, this game is the very definition of niche, even if Sony were to apply Uncharted-level marketing or somewhere near that, This game ain't going to sell gangbusters.

Eh, tomato, tomahto: what you call sources is just collating opinions. I would happily accept an unfinished story if it were at the very least an engaging one. it did not end sufficiently, so many story threads left so open: a real chapter with real story missions is needed to clean up that mess.

If the Phantom Pain just followed up on its potential, I could almost accept it as it was. It didn't, so I shan't.

Sure, The Phantom Pain is brilliant, it is highly praised, yeah. It's just not a brilliant MGS game, that distinction is key. Its anything but and it is precisely for that reason why people like it so much. Even the three Templates for this game didn't stray this far off the course.

A ridiculous statement? I'd be more inclined to believe my opinion is a ridiculous statement if you weren't just using other people's opinions.

Worst MGS Game in existence, A great game outside all the MGS branding sure.

MGS 5: Ground Zeroes (despite the shortness) did what the Phantom Pain couldn't, be an MGS game, mission variety, great soundtrack. I would rather MGS end on that cliffhanger than even dare to shudder relieve that experience.

In simpler terms, The Phantom Pain can be likened Resident Evil 6.
