Really hope Astro Bot and Rez get ported over.

Wasn't sure yesterday but after thinking about it I'm tempted to go for it - missed out on VR last gen and I want to see what all the fuss is about. If I don't enjoy it I expect I'll easily be able to get the money back as they're bound to be in short supply.

If it had backwards compatibility I'd be pre-ordering for sure, but at this price and the current lineup I'll probably wait it out for a year or so.

Bit meh for me personally, but with God of War on the horizon I can’t say I’m too bothered!

Disappointing news, I’ll be holding off for now and hoping for an update maybe. Or getting it on PC.

Hot Wheels is great, found it got repetitive after a while but enjoyed the time I spent with it. Haven’t tried Superhot so looking forward to that but can’t say I’m too fussed about Injustice. Solid month!

It’s not a dealbreaker but it is disappointing. Welp, as long as Sega release a new version of Rez Infinite I’ll be happy enough.

Just picked up Tales of Arise for £25, very excited! Kinda tempted by 13 Sentinels and Gran Turismo as well - is there a trial or anything?

I’ll be tempted to pick up the PS5 version eventually but no chance on the limited edition, all the extras look totally naff and tacky. Would sooner drop the cash on an actual high quality print.

I was pleasantly surprised - haven’t played a Tekken game since 3 back on PS1 but for some reason I’m very excited for it. The Yakuza announce was a nice surprise, the Ronin thing could be good, Stellar Blade is looking like a potential Bayonetta killer and God of War just looks ridiculously, unbelievably good.

I think the only possible megaton I’d even hesitate to guess would be possible would be Silent Hill. If that happens they can show 19 minutes and 30 seconds of farm sims and I’d still be giddy.

At the very least I’m just hoping some nice indie games, maybe some confirmed western releases of some of the titles from the Asobu showcase in the summer.

I remember watching a play through of the fan translation for this thinking it wasn’t as good as the others (the original trilogy was near enough perfect), but I’m still super excited and can’t wait to play it. Just hope this means we’re getting a new game eventually!

Love the first game, absolutely all-in for more.

Meh, not for me personally. Looks ugly as heck and I can’t making use of any of the customisations. I’m sure there’s plenty of folks who’ll love it though.

More Yakuza is A-OK with me.

Very strong month. Probably won’t pick up Tony Hawks and already own Little Nightmares but Yakuza alone is very exciting!

I’d be very happy with this, though I probably wouldn’t be touching any of the AC games. Really excited for Stray so whatever happens I’ll be happy. Gotta say I’m really loving the premium sub so far - downloaded a bunch of games that had been living on my wishlist, good times!

So tempted to pick up a new TV but it always feels like as soon as I get one some new feature will be announced that I wish I'd held out for. Bah.

The hammer is kinda cool but I'm not fussed at all about any of the other extras. Oh, other than the soundtrack - but I'll be getting the full release rather than a shortened 7" version that may well be a low quality pressing.

Great news that it's still coming out this year, just hope they don't enrage the internet by having to delay again at the last minute. Hopefully getting it at launch but realistically i might have to wait for the new year, we'll see.

Just recently rolled credits on Elden Ring as well. I loved most of it, but there were a few infuriating things that kept it back from being in the realms of Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1 and 3, Bloodborne and Sekiro.

One was the repetition - the fact that some encounters were recycled and a lot of the smaller dungeons were basically the same made those elements a bit of a slog.

Second, I felt the endgame dragged out a bit and lost momentum. I didn't care about the final encounters and didn't really feel a sense of accomplishment after beating them. The mid-late game where you're taking on stuff like Radahn was so much more exciting.

And lastly, the build metagame being so heavily focused towards bleed stopped me from wanting to replay any sections of the game. Other stuff is viable but when one style of play so comprehensively overpowers the rest, it takes a toll.

I'm still curious to see if any expansions or DLC arrive but for the time being I've uninstalled and don't intend to go back. Still enjoyed it, don't get me wrong, but it's not going to get into my "greatest of all time" list like some of its predecessors.

According to a leak on HotUKDeals, this months games are Crash 4, Man of Medan and Arcadegeddon. Hyped for Crash 4 if true!

Loved it when it first launched but haven't played in a while. Will probably log in over the weekend once everything's settled down with the servers.

I loved it. Not the hardest game but no less satisfying as a result. Storyline and characters were great, plenty of awesome action. Easily the best Ratchet & Clank game to date and I'd love to see a follow up.

The sheer entitlement of some gamers continues to astonish.

In theory I’m really excited for PSVR2 but I feel like I need to know a little more first. Hopefully it isn’t too crazy expensive either!

Looks lovely. Always wanted to get into this series but just haven’t got the time for massive RPGs at the moment. Hopefully one day though, and really glad to hear about the fast mode in this one which would help a fair bit!

MS has been back to form with the S/X so no surprise it’s gaining ground. Good hardware, good games, great subscription model and widely appealing acquisitions - it would be a nightmare if they hadn’t got anything back after all that! PS will be fine though I’m sure. Still a lot of good stuff to come in the next year or two. But yeah the stock situation is not ideal I guess, but tbh I’ve kinda zoned out of that one since everyone I know that wants one has managed to get one now.

I absolutely adored it and would happily rate it 10/10 over and over again. The only slight blemish for is that there wasn't a way to track those damn ravens for the trophy once you'd beaten the game.

Best on PS4? Close, but not quite for me. That would be The Last Guardian and/or The Last of Us Pt. 2. Definitely in the top 5 though.

Also, it continues to amaze me how people can be so obsessive about a hobby or entertainment medium yet have so little understanding of how it works behind the scenes. Or maybe they just like getting angry about everything, who knows.

I'd be amazed if this released this year, but it'll be worth it whenever it turns up. To be honest I'd rather not see anything - just take my money and let me know when it ships. Thanks muchly.

Like others have said, just can't be interested in this kind of game without some sort of lightgun-esque peripheral. Love the original though.

Picking this up almost purely in the hopes that it'll mean a sequel to Mania is on the way. Such a good game.

Important to to remember that the 'Metaverse' is not a singular game or product. Not yet, anyway. People's understanding of the concept needs to be a little more fluid until it actually exists. But it is coming and like it not, it's going to be a hot topic in the coming years.

It might not be as exciting for us as a studio acquisition, but Sony's investment is a smart one considering the vast portfolio of tools and experience that Epic has in its portfolio.

Never going to agree with lists like these completely but top games for me would be Solar Ash, Paradise Killer and No Man’s Sky. Art of Rally I really wanted to like but really didn’t.

@Apfelschteiner absolutely agree. For the most part I’m happy with what I get from PS Plus so I keep my sub going and I’m not ragging on that, but have to admit this month’s lineup is a bit of a duffer, IMO.

Two months in a row with no claims for me then. Ah well, still completely heads down in Elden Ring anyway so I’m not that bothered, but has to be said this is the weakest lineup in a long time. Oof.

A shame, but I'd still be tempted to give it a go when it hits the sales.
