Borderlands 3 Bounty of Blood DLC and an early night to get up at stupid o' clock for the Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter fight. Have a good weekend all!
Might have to pick up Hades. Got every achievement on Xbox thanks to Game Pass but feel guilty for not supporting Super Giant directly. Time to change that.
Ultra Age. It's a fast paced hack/slash that plays like a cross between DMC and Nier Automata. Level design is a bit bland and it's very linear but it absolutely nails the combat. Great little game.
It's abysmal. It was great back in the PS3 days when it was regional and there was actual communication from the likes of Fred Dutton and Jawad Ashraf. All went downhill when the PS4 came out and it's been circling the drain ever since.
I'm pretty deep into Yakuza Kiwami 2 so it'll be more of that on PS4 and I finally took the plunge with Cyberpunk 2077 on Series S and... I love it! I'm around 15 hours in and it has me completely hooked. Night City is a fantastic playground to just tool around in. Gunplay is kinda meh but as a Deus Ex nut I'm used to that and I'm leaning heavily into hacks, stealth and choking fools out which is a blast. Fun stuff and absolutely bug/glitch free so far. Happy days! Have a good weekend all!
I'm out, while I enjoyed Origins for what it was, I couldn't get through Odyssey and I foolishly bought Valhalla only to give up on that too. I dread to think how much bloat will be in a persistent AC GaaS world. Not for me.
@awp69 - I was talking about the melee and general encounters which make up a huge amount of the combat, the other options are drip fed over the course of the game and mostly unnecessary outside of bosses.
Slick combat? You clearly never played it. I love this game but the combat is really tedious. It's simply slash, slash, dodge from beginning to end, it's definitely the weakest aspect of an otherwise great game.
That was mostly woeful. Definitely recommend Death's Door though. General combat is a bit one dimensional but the world design and boss fights are great. Absolutely worth a buy.
@solocapers - Show me a horror story of crunch with either of those teams. Also, you don't care about crunch. Reeesetera is that way -> Take your virtue signalling with you.
Man, I love GT and Kaz's enthusiasm but Polyphony are the laziest devs around. Turn10 and Playground can put out top tier racers in less time than Kaz can decide which cars he should rearrange in his actual garage.
AC Unity is amazing. I replayed it recently on Series S with FPS boost and apart from a very few visual glitches it performed superbly. The parkour and weapon/tool systems in that game are sublime, by far the best of any AC game.
Yakuza Kiwami, only 2 chapters to go. The Kiwami's are the only ones I haven't played in the series so I'll get on YK2 next. Really liking the Majima Everywhere system they put into this version, he's one of the best NPC's in all of gaming.
@Residentsteven - Yeah, Revelations 3 would be welcome as long as it isn't episodic. Forcing a week long wait between episodes of 2 when they were clearly finished was asinine.
@Snake_V5 - I'd have to go with the OLED Vita, the LCD has slightly better battery life and I prefer the start/select buttons on that one but the screen isn't a patch on the original. The OLED just looks much nicer in action.
@StylesT - Wait, what? You're making all kinds of assumptions about me but I'm the keyboard warrior? You're priceless. Btw I've probably forgotten more about boxing in the forty five years I've been a plastic fan than you'll ever know champ.
@Integrity - He is an embarrassment to the sport, from his heavy suit sapping his energy and Fury's loaded gloves to Breland spiking his water. Which part of his litany of excuses isn't embarrassing?
@solocapers - I never said he isn't dangerous and maybe zero was a tad harsh. I'll be generous and say extremely limited.
@Mgene15 - I agree he can crack but who has he ko'd really? Artur Szpilka, Chris Arreola and old man Luis Ortiz are about it as far as half decent fighters go. His record is padded with blown up cruiserweight journeymen who got ironed out by almost everyone they ever fought. My grandad could beat 90% of the road sweepers he's fought.
For anyone looking to play this for the first time I strongly suggest you ignore this hatchet job of a review completely and watch ACG's video review instead. It'll leave you much better informed.
After 2 vehicle combat flops, remember Switchblade? You would think Sony would put Lucid to work on something they seriously lack. A quality arcade racer.
This studio is largely made up of ex Bizarre Creations devs, get them to make a spiritual successor to Project Gotham Racing and watch the money roll in.
@pip_muzz - GoW2 and Ghost of Sparta are my favourites, I'm in the small group of people that really liked Ascension too. I get that 2018 is an extremely well made game but I'd only rate it above Chains of Olympus in the grand scheme of things. As I said though, I like Ascension so what the hell do I know?
@Number09 - You do know that Senna went to Williams because of their pioneering work in launch control systems and computer assisted suspension right?
As for assists encouraging females in motorsport I guess you never heard of Maria Teresa de Filippis, Lella Lombardi, Michele Mouton, Danica Patrick etc.
For a studio that knocked out an entire Uncharted trilogy plus TLoU in one console gen, you have to wonder why this is taking so long.
@Nem - Absolutely agree, I think the 'game' is ready to go. Now they're busy putting the DLC hat team, National flag team and cash only OP weapons team together.
@JB_Whiting - I've got the NG Collection, it's worth a buy but they are ports of the PS Vita versions of NGB/2 so they're a bit rough around the edges to look at. Gameplay wise they're still decent though.
@Klaptrap - Glad you got past it but in my case the game is unplayable. Loading a save removed the mask but I still have to equip it to continue and the bug hits again. I tried about a dozen times and it happened every single time. So yeah, I'm stuck with a digital coaster until it gets patched.
I'm about an hour or so in and found a game breaking bug with the Taro Mask. Once equipped it can't be removed, the camera spins out of control and Kena can't move. Quitting the game will remove it but I can't progress because of it. Broken game is broken. Playing on PS4 Pro.

Re: Mini Review: Death's Door (PS5) - Indie Darling Is a Tightly Designed Joy
Quality little game, the overall package is really good but the majority of the combat is extremely basic and repetitive.

@SystemAddict - Gotta love accidental typos! Deathhoop sounds like a wild night with Dennis Rodman.

@SoulsBourne128 - You're not alone there. I've played a tonne of BB co-op and every person I met didn't know either lol.
Re: Bloodborne PSX Is a Cease and Desist Disaster Waiting to Happen
@SoulsBourne128 - You can use health to create bullets in Bloodborne, no item required. Up on D-pad gives 5 blood bullets.
