Yes, its difficult sometimes following these threads and Ive both inferred the wrong thing, and gotten the wrong message about threads Ive not quite understood, several times.

@thefourfoldroot1 Except thats not what Im doing. I told someone I presume was a girl gamer, that I could understand how she felt and i was sympathetic to her viewpoint. Neither her original post or my subsequent one sought to tell anyone what do or sought to deny anyone this game.
I understand everyone is looking for a 'hill to die on' these days, but please leave me out of your cause, unless you feel anyone with a divergent viewpoint is a target? I thought on an adult site where people can talk civily and without malice there might be a slight tolerance for a range of views. My unease at peoples joy to indulge in virtual upskirting, is exactly that, unease. It doesnt justify you trying to throw me into some kind of sweet baby censorship camp. I like to think I have a balanced view of such issues and I despair at the highly polarised society we have become that thinks there are only two polar opposite viewpoints and we must 'pick sides'. I want no part in such nonsence.

When an update is praised for making more panty lines revealed and making t*ts bounce more realistically you know your dealing with the hairy hands mob. Nothing here that affects gameplay at all, and its game play I care about.

Im sure my male ancestors look upon my attitude with pride. Theres a time and place for everything and Im far from being prudish in the slightest. I dont believe this level of titilation in an action fighter is the best match, and I understand why a female gamer would take umbridge with a bunch of males being trained to enjoy upskirting. Sexy potagonists, no issue. Updates to encourage upskirting and jiggle pysics only, are pretty creepy in a game thats got a lot more to offer than looking up the protagonists tush.

Im not spoiling anyones party, you play the game till your blind, ive no problem. But I do understand the feelings of a female who finds it creepy, and wanted to let her know thats a perfectly reasonable assesment. Or are we not allowed divergent viewpoints? Are we all supposed to be little robots parrotting the same viewpoint for fear we might not fit in?

I am keen on playing this, but the over sexulisation of Eve has stopped me doing so. Im 60 now and feel little uncomfortable 'upskirting' even it is virtually.
I hear its a game well worth playing in its own right though and I believe once you are a bit further in to the game, you can choose more modest outfits which would make me feel less of a creep!

@Zenos Hi Fi is a bigger weakness for me than gaming.. and thats saying something. I played in bands for a few years and worked in London recording studios before I cut my hair off and worked for IBM.
I wont bore you with its constitute pieces (unless your interested), but my current system is getting end game for me as Ive hit 60 now. Its about £25k of kit now.
AE500s are great little speakers, nice!

@Bez87 Theres a certain fervour of attack that surrounds many new announcements on the net, and particularly here on Push.
It means people with more positive thoughts and feelings dont want to be challenged by those whos demeanor is clearly not freindly to their position and they wont post.
Dont fall into the trap of thinking the shouty haters genuinely represent the majority, they very often dont.

Delighted to get one. I could have checked out an anniversary one and got confused that the site hadnt remembered my address. In a panic I took it out of my basket and tried a pro. I figured out that I simoly needed my address to check out, simple auto fill, but by tgen Id missed the anniversary.
I was a little gutted so I went back and got a 30th anniversary pad in addition to the pro. I pretty much have one of every colour now except black

So, you cant buy any products on PC? This has much less to do with consumer protection and much more to with those in Silicon Valley who'd rather charge you a yearly licence to use products insted of giving you any ownership.....

@Intr1n5ic Its actually one of my fave games, and my wife too, so Im pretty happy with the £10 upgrade as Id like to play it again. I believe its been tweaked for pro too, and I ordered one of them this morning! I really liked the story, the creature design and the combat, so Im looking forward to trying it again 😊

@Intr1n5ic No right or wrong mate, simply a small difference in opinion. If I were a new ps4 player and wanted to experience the game Id either buy pysical, or wait till thecprice dropped back.

I simply weighed the balance: on one side we have very few ps4 owners who might have wanted to pick that game up cheaply digitally.
On the other side of the scale we have millions of us who have paid and played who will now get a £10 upgrade.
On that basis it seems like it was the best choice and certainly not evil! 🤣

Its possible to crticise without the kind of hate that some show at every single announcement, and tbf some criticism of this move would and should be expected. I can see why theyve done it of course - if you had a new ps5 and fancied playing Horizon, you certainly wouldnt buy the new remaster to play it if you can buy the old ps4 version so chaep and upgrade for £10. Its a messy situation and I dont think theres a way I can see that they could have solved it and kept everyone happy, so criticism was to be expected. The over the top rhetoric you see spouted so often though is simply a huge over reaction driven by a need to hate. I dont like it, and have as much right to say that as they have a right to spew hate. Critiscm however, is definitely warrented.

Meanwhile Phil tells us xbox has never had so many sales at TGS as it sells 600 units.
Theres different levels of struggling clearly, and 6 million sales in the territory is hardly a failure.
Japan are very much a handheld nation, so switch would always reign supreme. You seen the size of their living space? A Series X or PS5 will take up 25% of their free space! 🤣

I've just queued again and got back in. My order is confirmed on the site, but I don't have a confirmation Email yet despite my order being placed at 10.10am..(its 11.30am now)
While I was there, I got a 30th anniversary controller as a kind of consolation prize for screwing up my anniversary console order!

I think I messed up and missed my change to snag an anniversary one. It let me add it and choose payment method, but then wouldnt let me place the order (was greyed out).
I quickly changed to a standard pro and it looked like it was doing the same thing, but then I clicked and confirmed the address, which meant it went through. If I had done that with the pro it would have gone through - drat!
I was in a panic that it wouldn't let me buy it and thought I might miss out on the pro... I guess I saved some money

@JB_Whiting despite it saying the order had gone through, I've had no confirmation and can't see on the site as it sends you back into the queue! I thought I had an anniversary one as it allowed me to add it to the cart but then wouldn't allow me to pay. I deleted that and ordered a regular pro, and that did say it had gone through and I'd get Emails etc. Howver, no emails yet and there's nothing showing on paypal...

I've been in - it wouldn't complete the sale on a 30th edition (£959)
but I've just gotten a standard pro! yey!

If you're interested in purchasing the new console at launch, then PS5 Pro pre-orders will go live on September 26, exclusively on the PlayStation Direct website. The console will be available to pre-order from additional retailers on October 10, before launching in full on November 7.
I just asked google, but I'd read it already so I'm pretty sure its correct.

3mins till 10am - I guess thats when we take our spot in the queue!

@NEOTDS Don't ever believe that the net gives you a real picture.
The bulk of consumers are not on any of these sites and don't care for the manufactured gripes we see daily.
The same happened with the portal - it was attacked and laughed at by the same people, and went on to be one of the best sellers of the year (and a dam fine piece of kit too).
There are lots of people want this machine despite the bleating of those who are always trying to manufacture a disaster - you need to filter them out.

@NEOTDS Ah, don't feel deflated mate - if you are just after non anniversary stuff they will have high stocks and you should get to order it this morning.
Getting an anniversary one was always going to be really difficult and even though I wanted one, I'd have probably had a kitten when I saw the price - £1200? Maybe. As long as I can order a pro, I'm happy enough. Even if I cant get one from Sony, its available from amazon in a couple of weeks, so we will get what we want.
I would have preferred it if you could pre register your interest and have a more organised approach to this kind of process, but it happens every time, and with other popular items too, so I'm gonna take a deep breath, wait my turn and see what I can do.

@Pusher2021 No. The pro might reach 10%, so the target platform will always be the standard ps5, as it should be.
This is not the xbox scenario where about 70% of sales have been for series S.

Excellent. I notice that lots of outlets have now had hands on time and are now much more positive on the pro. That this game could have been better optomised is clear. But its a nice benefit of the pro for me that it will play it better when I get round to it, but its never gonna be a showpiece game.

Cute animals, bright colours, Im a sucker for the upbeat cuteness.

@Fishysensei Killzone 2 sold 2.5 million. Its smallfry and thats why its unlikely to be remastered.
I enjoyed though, so I wouldnt mind!

This title needed a little work anyway ahead of the PC release and was intended to launch with the TV series (since cancelled). The LOU remaster apparently sold 18 million, so its a no brainer for them, and theres clearly a market.
Bloodborn sold 7.5 million. Its simply not as sure fire a revenue driver as other titles.
Sony can only invest in smaller or unproven ips if it makes money on its established franchises, thats simple buisness economics.

Great to this at last and to see they've made changes.

Im delighted to see this is new story - the last tale was told and was perfect as is (to me).

I look forward to when we finally get to play.

Great, nice to know theres plenty of titles patched already and no doubt many more to come.
If people can't see the difference in image quality between an AI upscaled image and a tv up scaler, then the product is not for them.
If people need to see the outputs analysed and see what else will be added for their cash, then waiting till its out in the wild is definitely the way to go.
Me, im trying for the anniversary edition tommorrow, but I'll make do with a non anniversary one 😊 Unfortunately my wife is talking about upgrading our second one too...so this could get expensive 😂

About 10 titles Id ike to play shown, including some surprises.
Not too much chat, about the right length and games I want - this show was very good!
Now if I can just clear some of this backlog....

@HonestHick The wording is critical.. Im pretty sure they said no big IP releases from their studios this year (Astro bot clearly not big enough). Im sure the word was 'releases', which means they could tease something for next summer.
It was in their financials...im too lazy to look it up and check!
