Perhaps the greatest creation game ever made. Looks like it is going to deliver - allowing players to create endless game creations. Can't wait to play it when it comes out - especially on PSVR.
@Chunky_Droid Sony announced 73.6 million units sold through to customers by December 31st 2017. They just announced 91.6 million units sold through to customers by December 31st 2018. That confirms 18 million units sold through during 2018.
Maybe they put in the processor from the fat PS3 that could play all PS1, PS2 and PS3 games- on top of a new processor for PS5 and PS4 games? So when you put in the disc - it would switch between the two different processors depending on which disc you put in
Makes you wonder what Bluepoint has been working on. They told Eurogamer early last year that they were working on another remaster that was bigger in scope than Shadow of the Colossus. Thought for sure it was this. Now I’m even more excited not knowing what they have in the works- but whatever it is I’m sure it will be phenomenal with their track record.
That's the difference between both companies - Microsoft can buy up all of the studios in the world that it wants to - but the creative freedom Sony gives its first party studios is what allows them to thrive and release such critically acclaimed exclusives.
Awesome news! I have a 5 year old son - the first game was one of his favorites and we played it together endlessly. He's autistic - so it's a little hard for him to learn how to play games - but this one had a playroom which was a sort of sandbox that he could run around and try out all of the characters and vehicles we unlocked through the main game. Can't wait to see his face when this one releases!
Really looking forward to their upcoming exclusive lineup:
Days Gone Ghosts of Tsushima Dreams Last of Us: Part 2 Death Stranding
And you know Horizon: Zero Dawn and God of War sequels are already underway (and soon to be a Spider-Man sequel), as well as Ueda's next game. I'm sure Japan Studio has other tricks up their sleeve. Persona 6 is probably under development as we speak as well.
Sony's pipeline is deep and diverse - and the creative freedom they give these teams really shows in the quality of games they release.
But seriously- Japan is one of the most condensed metropolitan places to live. With people always on the move- mobility is key. Hence the wild success of the Switch and 3DS (and the poor Vita to an extent) in Japan. Home consoles just aren't as attractive. Hoping Sony releases another handheld next generation and learns from their mistakes with the Vita.
No worries whatsoever. Neil's last 3 games were Uncharted 2, The Last Of Us and Uncharted 4 - 3 of the best games ever made in my opinion. I have all faith in the world that he's going to deliver yet another masterpiece.
I think they learned their lesson from last year and will have a much better conference this year. Maybe not as good as E3, but light-years better than the last PSX.
The Witness looks a lot like this game. I only played it for a couple of hours last night - but I am enjoying it so far. The maze puzzles get harder and harder as you progress through the game and explore the rest of the island. I can see people that aren't into puzzle games thinking that it is repetitive - but I enjoy these kind of puzzle / exploration games. Early impressions for me - 9/10.
Hopefully the trailer they showed back then was an accurate depiction of the final game - and not just vaporware. Even if the game ends up being half as good as that trailer - I think it's going to be something really special.
It would be awesome if they added your choice of a free monthly game rental on PS Now - either that or offer an annual subscription for PS Now for $50.

PlayStation has now been the no. 1 selling home console for 8 years in a row now. The last they were behind was in 2010 - the last heydays of the Wii.
