Re: Reaction: Sony Flubs First Proper PS5 Presentation in Over 18 Months

Nothing really caught my interested today unfortunately. I'd probably enjoy Metal Gear Solid Delta and Spider-Man 2, but the problem for me is that I haven't played Spider-Man 1 or any Metal Gear games before. Getting into those series is high up my gaming wishlist, but until then I'm not going to be eager to play the newest games.

Aside for that, there was lots of liveservice and multiplayer shooters, which usually aren't that appealing to me. Perhaps I missed a gem or two in amongst all the CGI trailers, but that showcase was certainly disappointing for me.

Re: GTA 6 Team 'Seeking Perfection' with Long-Awaited PS5 Sequel

Could be an excellent game as usual for Rockstar, but my biggest concern is how they'll handle the writing, especially the political satire. The political landscape has changed a lot since GTA V's release, with major events such as President Trump and Brexit for instance. It all feels more extreme and polarized these days. Whether Rockstar can work their magic and make the satire fun, I'm not sure.

Re: Poll: How Hyped Are You for the PlayStation Showcase?

Only a medium amount of hype from me, as I could see this showcase going either way. It could be excellent if they've got plenty of surprises lined up. Alternatively it could be underwhelming, or lean too heavily into live service games for my liking. Either way, we'll see on Wednesday.

Re: Sony Claps Back at UK Regulator's 'Irrational' Reversal on Microsoft Activision Deal

Though I dislike huge acquisitions such as this, I'm also not convinced that the deal should be blocked. It's up to the regulators to decide, and the concessions that Microsoft has offered seem reasonable enough.

PlayStation's been in a dominant position up until now, and Xbox isn't suddenly going to get a monopoly if this deal goes through, so I don't see this as substantially harming competition. At this point, Jim Ryan just seems to be doing bad faith arguments to hold this deal up as much as possible.
