I was looking forward magic shooter. I was expecting it would be not good, but, damn, it is so bad... as @Ludacritz above said, it is so inconsistent in direction like no one knew what he was working on. And shooting violet targets like in Suicide Squad was last nail in coffin. ...and those ugly characters, especially Luna, made me rather focus on subtitles so I couldn't see her face. Huge, huge letdown. 😥
@get2sammyb Is battle so heavily based only on counters, or it can be played also like "reckless button smashing"? I'm asking, because I've finished FF16 on story mode few days ago and it seemed like good balance of button smash and sometime counter. In fact FF16 had so much visual noise it was unplayable otherwise.
Why? ...no seriously, WHY? What purpose has this move? Why author destroy it's work just to please false needs of the world? Who forced them to do it? Why do they only think about it? Is world now in grasp of self-named censorship no one wants, no one cares, but everybody do, in fear of some virtual unacceptance that leads to fall of its company? What do they FEAR to make this?
I'm seriously asking. Can someone explain these moves to me?
Put aside it is pure cheating, can it be applicated on Assassin's Creed Valhalla to skip endless running? And does it count towards total game time? And gives it feedback to developer how much you skipped so he can see how boring his game is? And can I use it on grinding trophies?
This guy is 100% right. I haven't seen tailor in my country, where I can come and ask him "Please could you make this leather coat look like sweater?". Transmog is the most useless mechanics in games.
I plan to finish it soon (Back to the Origin). But side quests were true hell, not willing to replay them anymore. Maybe I return to FF16 in ten years or so, but right now I must admit I love it, I appreciate its simplicity, but I'm also looking forward finishing it and put aside.
So many games finished for me before they started. From the bottom of my heart I hate unskipable or forced tutorials. A very few games made it to please me with tutorial longer than game itself...
@MeatyVeg You cannot mix apples and pears. Of course online games are most played, because people are stuck in them for months. But gamers play lots if different games thru year.
When Demon's Souls came it was fun. Than Dark Souls, OK. But now is every "souls-like" gameplay boring. I'll play it (if ever) when it comes to PS Plus monthly games. And of course on Story Mode.
@LifeGirl Ohh, you mean numbers... Of course mobile is huge, because asians are crazy in buying game mtx on mobile. But it doesn't mean gamers want it and mobile games are good.
@LifeGirl I disagree except that part about layoffs. Mobile area is one big junkyard and people rather shift back to PC rather than mobile. AI is so soulless people soon start to reject it more than now. And physical will be, in some form, still around as same as books.
@REALAIS I've played all NFS except Shift 1 and 2. The only one I've replayed was Underground 1 and NFS4 High Stakes. And must say I'm glad to have that opportunity to finish all till Undercover. But I also must say I don't know if I've finished those new ones? It is like to say I don't know if I've red the book till the end. And that is the problem. I won't invest into new NFS, because I don't know if I've completed previous titles... so I still have NFS to play? Total confusion.
@REALAIS Of course I've seen it. 61% gamers play OLD games, so they DON'T need new GaaSes. Overall gaming time is going down, so people welcome shorter games to be able complete them in acceptable time. Then they realise they need new game.
Companies are acting absolutely the opposite. They are trying to make longer than long games and what do they expect? That some of those 61% faithful cross for long time? Those who have time for short sessions buys another game, while they are in first quarter of current game?
Lots of gamers have huge backlog from PS3/PS4 era and rather pick there instead of thinking about buying "endless" new game.
@REALAIS Yes, common sense from business has lost. It is more profitable to sell "one time" game every 2-3 years than sell one in 10 years and 2-3 years waste resources on upgrading it, before moving to start making another one. Every company is chasing some shadow of Fortnite's milking cow, completely loosing focus on anything else. Destroying their own IPs, screwing what was working, implement mainstream mechanisms even if it goes straight against game itself...
@REALAIS there is no need for Diablo MMO, D4 is more than enough. There is huge need for singleplayer - coop Diablo game. ...and Diablo himself... MMOers can stick to D4 and its seasons which Diablo fans don't care.
@Cutmastavictory Yes, D3 was kind of weird. Map was set too (at least it had random filling), singleplayer was added only on consoles, auction house misstep, respec skills idiocy... lot of things sucked on D3.
No comment. I'm still pretty angry and sad how they "destroyed" Diablo franchise. Let me know when - Singleplayer, offline, enemies non-respawn, map unexplored for new characters, set items, endless paragon, replay story on higher difficulty - version is released.
Bad manager consider it as bug. Good manager consider it as feature, release paid emulator and resell PSP games, but that is just thinking of poor fool...
@__jamiie PS2 and PS3 games fills most of my library. Great era, where games were not as long as last week before payday and were way simpler e.g. lot of fun.
I must say I'm avoiding games, where BEFORE release they anounce DLCs, "roadmaps", battle passes and any other post-release content. I like to have games "complete" on release, play them, enjoy them, finish them and remember them.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Stellar Blade?
I love simple button smashing action games, so it was letdown, for me, this is some kind of "parry simulator".
