Re: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Gareth Bale Voice Objection to FIFA 21 Likenesses

fluggy

Why would anyone NOT want to feature in a game and have kids play as their fave player ... ZLATAN. Hes 38, on a multi million salary and hes moaning about a digitization of himself in a game. Theyre not making money off of Zlatan. Doubt anyone would skip a game if his likeness was removed. In one or two years, when he hangs up his boots, kids will still be playing as Ibra in Fifa and keeping the legacy alive... if thats not a privelege, I don't know what is.

Miles Mo on PS5. Great game ... just really disappointed with the ray tracing performance. When the new consoles were announced I originally thought the days of picking fidelity over performance would be long gone. Played few hours with ray tracing and the intricate details and reflections are nice ... when your crawling slowly and deliberately looking for them. Swinging about during gameplay, you don't notice them at all. Looks lovely in 4K at 60 so sticking with that. Ray tracing definitely isnt worth halving the frame rate for. More of a neat tech demo feature that I might turn on to show others how cool it is, then immediately turn off. Still, stunning game.

Re: Publisher of Poor XIII Remake Seems to Miss the Point with Apology Post

fluggy

I still have it on Gamecube and actually quite like the new visual style of the PC remake. Went back to Gamecube game yesterday and I have to say, it hasn't aged well .... not that it was a particularly good game (regarding gameplay or graphics) to start with. If they fix the bugs it'll be a decent little game with interesting cartoony style. Not great but certainly not the unmitigated disaster some are claiming.

Re: Sadly, You Can't Store PS5 Games on an External HDD

fluggy

@Menchi
Well, seeing as the SN850 was only announced in October (and still not available to buy yet) and when I bought mine 3 months ago, the SN750 was the best on the market. Sony had said "there would be a "regular" M.2 expansion slot on PS5"(which is why I bought the best "regular" M.2 drive available on the market at the time) . Sony should have said "there's an M.2 expansion slot but compatible drives haven't been invented yet."

Re: Sadly, You Can't Store PS5 Games on an External HDD

fluggy

I got a state of the art 2TB WD Black SN750 for £400 thinking IT MUST be compatible with PS5. Thought i'd use it for my PC then switch it over to PS5 when I get my preorder. But ... nope, not compatible apparently. Being so pro-consumer ..... it wouldn't surprise me if Sony had a sneaky, surprise, over-priced, proprietary M.2 SSD in the pipeline.

Re: You Can't Play PT on PS5

fluggy

I don't get it. Fair enough if it doesn't work and the dev can't be arsed correcting the compatibility, BUT to actually take the time to block it from being transferred/playable from PS4 to PS5 seems ludicrous/miserable.

Re: November 2020 PS Plus Games Are Available to Download Now

Hollow Knight might be my fave game ever ... defo top 2 or 3 and I think its probably even better than Super Metroid. However, I remember the first thing I thought to myself after 100%ing it was ... "i'm never putting myself through that again!!!" Don't think I'll ever replay it ... One 'n' done but really looking forward to Silksong.

Re: Have a Gander at the New PS Store for Web Browsers

fluggy

It's the android mobile app that needs work. Had it for years and STILL have no idea how to view latest releases. Looking for new games brings up "coming soon" games that are months away from release. Surely the FIRST thing I should see when opening the app is latest game releases.

Re: Western Digital Reveals First PS5 Compatible SSD

fluggy

Garbage. I just bought the 1TB WD SN750 for £170 from Amazon for my PC and they sent me the £450 2GB one (with heatsink, no less) by mistake. Thought I'd just use it for PS5 when it comes. Its supposed to be the high-end option. Was sure it was gonna be PS5 compatible.

Re: More PS5 Pre-Orders Available in the US, UK, Canada Starting Friday

fluggy

Jackpot!! Easy, painless transaction. I expected to be watching all 5 retail sites, sweating for hours in a desperate panic. Woke up 8.10 ... Reset my alarm for 8.50 (for potential 9am restock)... Don't know what made me check (and not nod off again) but decided to have a quick once over of the retailers.. First one I tried (Argos) had stock!! (digital, no less... My preferred option). No queuing, no headache, no sweat! Can't believe it. So happy.

Re: Poll: Will You Buy a PS5?

fluggy

Surprised more people arent interested in digital only. I went digi when I bought my niece a PS4 so we could game share between two consoles without buying twice and haven't looked back. Its just so much more convenient, especially with game streaming/PS Now/PS Store sales.

Re: PS Plus September 2020 PS4 Games Announced

fluggy

Again ... 2 games that are both on PS Now as well. There really has to be some incentive for subscribers of both Plus and Now. Repeatedly giving Now subscribers games they already have is a massive oversight.

Re: Remedy Confirms a PS5 Version of Control Is in the Works

fluggy

I just never got on well with this game. Its just an irritating wave shooter with a pretentious, sci-fi, gobbledygook story. Was relieved when I finished it ... then I got duped into playing the post credits scene ... tidying up coffee cups/organising faxes crap. Grrrr. Deleted straight after with zero interest in going back and completing side quests.

Re: Iron Man VR Demo Lands on PS4 Today

fluggy

Helluva big file size for such a short experience. The controls are initially confusing. Left and right being on different move controllers is unusual but a necessity given the propulsion gestures your required to make. Gotta say, jumping out a burning plane and flying along side it is thoroughly exhilarating ... especially with an authentic Iron Man holographic HUD blinking before your eyes. Wasn't expecting it to feel anywhere near this authentic. Hope the rest of the game is just as exciting.

Re: Guide: Best PS4 Puzzle Games

Kine is top 3 for me. Adored it... 100%ed it (only cheated twice).
Statik too. Witness was sssoooo boring. If Inside and Last Guardian qualify, so do God of War and Shadow of Colossus etc.

Re: Soapbox: I Wish I Was Growing Up with Games Now

fluggy

Im 42 and SO glad i'm not growing up with games in this era. Everything was in moderation back then. Cartoons started at 4.00 and finished at 5.10pm for John Craven's Newsround, giving me plenty of time to attempt Jetpac or Wonderboy in Monsterland between homework time and Dr Who at 7.30pm. There was a limit to the entertainment content I had access to. Now we have streams upon streams of 24 hour channels, 200hr+ games, unlimited movies/series... its just too much. So glad I grew up with my Speccy, Master System n Snes. I got to experience the classics and still dip into the likes of God of War or Marvels Spidey or whatever new game I particularly like the look of. Reminiscing playing my top 50 16-bit console games seems to be far more appealling than my nephew remembering 900hrs he ploughed into overwatch.

Re: Guide: Best Resident Evil Games Ranked

fluggy

Just played through 5 with my son and two of the 4 campaigns in 6. I always loved 5 but really enjoyed 6 in coop this time round too. Think 4 has been thoroughly surpassed now. Was my fave for years but 2 Remake and 7 (in VR) are top two now. I'll never forget how great and obviously influential 4 was in my Gamecube days but think its time to move on. Think 4 is prob my 4th (or maybe 5th) fave now (after 1 and 2 remakes and 7 (and possibly 3 Remake ... i'll decide at midnight tonight!).

Re: PS5's Backwards Compatibility with PS4 Has Fans Baffled

fluggy

Really disappointed. Shocking oversight. Assumed I would be able to upgrade from PS4 Pro to PS5 and transfer my entire library over. Just bought a One X for the sole reason to play Ori Wisps while in isolation. . . Which I payed £1 for (first month of Xbox Gamepass was £1). Was gonna sell Xbox straight after Ori but theres enough different titles to make Gamepass a worthwhile complement to PS Now, especially given the current situation. Then I had a flick through the Microsoft Store and saw the Backwards Compatible Xbox 360 games list.... 100s!! Dead Space games £3 each. My son and I are certainly not gonna be bored during the lockdown.

Re: Site News: Don't Forget to Visit Our Sister Site Pure Xbox

fluggy

Welcome back ... just panic purchased a One X in anticipation of the corona lockdown (actually, coz I really wanted Ori Wisps)'. Turns out I got Ori (and couple hundred other games) by subscribing to gamepass for £1 for 1st month. So many other games I want to play on gamepass that Ive not got on PS4 so doubt il be unsubscribing any time soon. Between Gamepass and PS Now, ive got my months in isolation sorted.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 315

fluggy

Went out and bought a One X yesterday, for the sole reason to play Ori Will of the Wisps (should the country be at a lockdown) in glorious 4K HDR .... Planned to just sell the Xbox straight after finishing it. Turns out I subscribed to Xbox game pass for £1 for 1st month and Ori Wisps is included!! Jackpot. Then downloaded 30 gamepass games I really wanted to play that I dont have on PS4 Pro. Big titles. I'll be hanging on to the Xbox longer than expected. Between this and PS Now. . . think ive got it sorted.

Re: Poll: What Is Your PS4 Game of the Year 2019?

fluggy

Resi 2, Blood and Truth and .. Um ... Cat Quest 2.
Cat Quest 2 for the 2 player with my 10 year old son. Probably not a game I would have touched without multiplayer but, as any parent knows, any game you can play together that your child really invests in, makes the game infinitely better.
