Re: Guide: Upcoming PS4 Exclusive Games

jacobia

Pretty darned interested in all the exclusives listed in this article, but definite day one purchases will be Days Gone, Death Stranding, Ghost Of Tsushima, The Last Of Us pt2 and Dreams. Maybe Spider-Man....dunno, no really feeling it. Yet.

Edit - oh, and I would love for a fully fledged inFamous sequel with Cole and all the grand scale of his story. Please SP 🙏

Re: Dead Island 2 Is Still in Development, More Will Be Revealed in Time

jacobia

I remember umming and arring about buying Dead Island when it first released back on the PS3, due to reading some mediocre reviews (I think) at the time. Decided to take the plunge and bought it eventually......sooo glad I did, as I absolutely loved it! Riptide was more of the same, but still enjoyable.
Hopefully, Sumo Digital will develop a worthy sequel...and like you indicated, Sammy, with Dying Light 2 on the horizon, assuming it will continue the quality of it’s predecessor, Dead Island 2 will really need to be on par, at the very least m’thinks.

Re: Soapbox: Sometimes, the Best Games Are the Simplest

jacobia

Yep yep yep! There are plenty of games that I wouldn’t bother with, but do I think they’re rubbish? No, of course not, I haven’t played them so how could I possibly form an opinion? It just means that I don’t feel or have any interest (let alone time) to experience them. But it’s awesome that there are plenty of options for everyone’s taste. Vive la différence!

Always interested to learn more about a new Star Wars game (because Star Wars), but wether I’d buy it is another matter altogether. Good luck to Amy with her new endeavours, hope it all works out well.

Re: Why Ninja Theory's Leaving PlayStation

jacobia

Well, as surprised as I was by Phil Spencer’s announcement, I am keen to see what games Ninja Theory can create with Microsoft’s financial backing, because in my opinion, Ninja Theory are a great little developer that have made some awesome games. Unless they’ve already got something in the pipeline, I would imagine that their first game for Microsoft Studios will be on the next Xbox.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 221

jacobia

I’m playing ‘At The Mother-In-Laws’ for the weekend, so no actual video games for me. But the husbear, who’s not into video games, is working away from home during the week, so I’ll catch up on God Of War...with a few fruity ciders (On a school night!!) whilst he’s orff ☺️

Re: Review: Killing Floor: Incursion (PS4)

jacobia

I’ve found that VR generally makes simple gameplay concepts/mechanics better. For example, Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood: an on-rails shooter that I wouldn’t bother with, displayed on a tv...but vr brings that game alive imo. Interested in Killing Floor: Incursion, but will probably wait for a price drop.

Re: Red Dead Redemption 2 Gets a Brilliant New Story Trailer

jacobia

@rjejr Good trailer 👍. The language, violence and stuff doesn’t bother in video games. And again, it’s a similar thing for me, that I don’t particularly feel like investing my time in certain games even though they’re generally considered to be top of their respective genre. For example: most (j)rpgs, sports games, racing games, fighting games, moba’s...and any gta game. I would never say they are rubbish or stupid because that’d be ridiculous...how can I have an opinion either way if I’ve never played them?? The genres that always attract my interest are horror, sci-fi and fantasy, a good story that I will want to invest in.
It’s awesome that there’s so many different types of games out there, lots of options for folks to choose from 🎮.
