Re: Review: Metal Gear Solid (PSone)

k_andersen

@rockman29 Exactly! All of the Metal Gear Solid games are so completely unique and bizarre that it's difficult to review them in the traditional way.

Thank goodness I didn't give it a 9

Re: Ubisoft's Latest Patch For Assassin's Creed Unity is Its Biggest Yet

k_andersen

@Gamer83 Oh, absolutely. The bugs are unacceptable whichever way you slice it. I just meant that Ubisoft is at least clearly taking very serious steps to get rid of the issues - and is being very transparent with what its doing.

It's sad that we should be praising a developer for doing that (because frankly, that's the very least it ought to be doing), but I guess that's what it has come to.

Re: PlayStation Vue Is Sony's Very Own TV, TV, TV Service

k_andersen

Yeah, the likelihood of this coming to Australia is almost nil at this point - which is a shame, because this definitely has the potential to be very cool.

Also, more like PlayStation Poo, am I right? Don't worry, I'll hand in my shiny silver admin badge as I see myself out.

"Once again proving that he's a massive indie apologist and should really be stopped before he gives some 2D piece of rubbish a 10."

Damn, I've been discovered! For reals, though, I am proud to be arguably the biggest indie apologist on a site full of indie apologists.

Re: Push Scare: The Thing About PS2 Horror The Thing

k_andersen

@gbanas92 I'm afraid I'm going to have to take you up on your offer re: The Thing being better than Halloween. As much as I love that Morricone score, Michael Meyers is the King.

At the very least, I think we can all agree that Escape From New York is his best film.

Re: Review: Pier Solar and the Great Architects (PlayStation 4)

@Jazzer94 To be clear, I had a lot of trouble with the score on this review. What's more, Robert and I had a pretty lengthy discussion about it behind the scenes, as I couldn't make my mind up on wether it was a 6 or a 7. In the end, I went with a 6 because my experience fit better with its description in the scoring policy - "This game is not good enough to rush out and buy without doing your homework. Whilst you should approach with a degree of caution you might still really enjoy this game."

However, if I didn't communicate that very well in the review, that's my fault - sorry about that!

Re: Review: Futuridium EP Deluxe (PlayStation 4)

k_andersen

@ohhaime You're absolutely right! This feels so much more fleshed out than the vast majority of iOS games - and perhaps the title 'iOS Port' gives it an unnecessary stigma.

However, Sammy doesn't like us to write the name of the game too many times in our reviews....so I had to get creative

Re: Review: Futuridium EP Deluxe (PlayStation 4)

I didn't mention this in the review (because it's kinda petty) but the menus in this game are horrible to navigate. For some reason it doesn't recognise your inputs very well. Obviously nothing game-ruining, but worth mentioning perhaps...

Re: Forget That Awesome UK PS4 Package, This One Is Better

k_andersen

For all my Australian compatriots, JB Hi Fi is currently selling the PS4 with Assassin's Creed 4, Destiny, Infamous: SS, and Injustice for $599 (around £325, for comparison). The console by itself still runs for $549, so that's not a bad deal.

Also, EB has it for the same price, but it comes packed with Destiny, Killzone: Shadowfall, and Infamous: SS.
