@Shellybird27 If you bought and played the game last year, and haven't logged into the online at all in 2014, it won't let you transfer your online characters. I may not have made that super clear in the article - sorry about that
Golly. I still need to play Shadow of Mordor, so I've totally given up on the idea that I'll have time for GTA 5. So probably Far Cry 4 and LBP 3 for the moment. Also, @ShogunRok has somehow convinced me to buy DA:I, so I'll have to squeeze that in somewhere too, I guess.
@Gamer83 Oh, absolutely. The bugs are unacceptable whichever way you slice it. I just meant that Ubisoft is at least clearly taking very serious steps to get rid of the issues - and is being very transparent with what its doing.
It's sad that we should be praising a developer for doing that (because frankly, that's the very least it ought to be doing), but I guess that's what it has come to.
Yeah, the likelihood of this coming to Australia is almost nil at this point - which is a shame, because this definitely has the potential to be very cool.
Also, more like PlayStation Poo, am I right? Don't worry, I'll hand in my shiny silver admin badge as I see myself out.
@get2sammyb I did ask, but they didn't really give me an answer. I think they're planning to launch on PC first, and then they'll focus on the Sony side of things.
@gbanas92 I'm afraid I'm going to have to take you up on your offer re: The Thing being better than Halloween. As much as I love that Morricone score, Michael Meyers is the King.
At the very least, I think we can all agree that Escape From New York is his best film.
@Confused_Dude @get2sammyb @Alpha "What's this, Kell? Is this some videogame? You know I hate videogames!" - we hear a loud smash, and then the screen goes blank.
Obviously I've scrubbed all the expletives out of this.
@Jazzer94 To be clear, I had a lot of trouble with the score on this review. What's more, Robert and I had a pretty lengthy discussion about it behind the scenes, as I couldn't make my mind up on wether it was a 6 or a 7. In the end, I went with a 6 because my experience fit better with its description in the scoring policy - "This game is not good enough to rush out and buy without doing your homework. Whilst you should approach with a degree of caution you might still really enjoy this game."
However, if I didn't communicate that very well in the review, that's my fault - sorry about that!
@get2sammyb @suzzopher Argh! In my defence, we didn't report on it when it was announced - so it wasn't saved in our database. Don't panic, though, as I'm currently booking flights to England for my paint-pelting. This slip-up will not go unpunished
@ohhaime You're absolutely right! This feels so much more fleshed out than the vast majority of iOS games - and perhaps the title 'iOS Port' gives it an unnecessary stigma.
However, Sammy doesn't like us to write the name of the game too many times in our reviews....so I had to get creative
I didn't mention this in the review (because it's kinda petty) but the menus in this game are horrible to navigate. For some reason it doesn't recognise your inputs very well. Obviously nothing game-ruining, but worth mentioning perhaps...
For all my Australian compatriots, JB Hi Fi is currently selling the PS4 with Assassin's Creed 4, Destiny, Infamous: SS, and Injustice for $599 (around £325, for comparison). The console by itself still runs for $549, so that's not a bad deal.
Also, EB has it for the same price, but it comes packed with Destiny, Killzone: Shadowfall, and Infamous: SS.
This sounds right up my alley! I've always wanted to experience that
terrible-80s-slasher-feeling in a videogame, and I feel like the more
'hands off' gameplay is probably the best way to achieve that.
@Demi_God I think you're absolutely right! If Silent Hills ends up being closer to P.T. (less gameplay, more interactive story-type-thing), then I think that would be the perfect game to sell it - at least to the "hardcore" crowd.
@DualWielding @Punished_Boss To be clear, I personally didn't like Beyond: Two Souls at all. I just figured that it's the sort of game that people who've upgraded to a PS4 from an Xbox 360 are likely to want access to - since it's one of the "big" Sony exclusives. I didn't make that particularly clear in the article, though.

Oh man. There are very few things I wouldn't do to get my hands on one of those.
Re: Review: Metal Gear Solid (PSone)
@rockman29 Exactly! All of the Metal Gear Solid games are so completely unique and bizarre that it's difficult to review them in the traditional way.
Thank goodness I didn't give it a 9
Re: Summer Lesson Is Project Morpheus' Premier Schoolgirl Studying Sim
@SuperCat Dude. Your cat-related comments are without a doubt the best and funniest comments I receive on the articles I write
Re: Oops, Sony Will Be Compensating Vita Early Adopters For Misleading Marketing
@617Sqn I don't believe so, as the charges came from the US FTC, and are related to SCE America's advertising :/
Re: Weirdness: Listen to This Gorgeous Acapella Cover of The Last of Us' Main Theme
It's so cool to see one of these acapella videos covering a song from a modern Sony IP - they usually just do retro stuff!

@KAPADO Well played, sir. Well played

Which it is

Re: Oops, GTA V Online Transfers Won't Work if You've Not Logged in Since 2013

tl;dr: Next year, probably
Re: First Impressions: What Does Dying Light Do to Resurrect the Zombie Apocalypse on PS4?
@get2sammyb I can only remember one voice from the demo - a marine who gave me a quick briefing at the start.
It was abysmal.
Re: Round Up: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare PS4 Reviews Look to the Future
Not a COD fan myself, but I'm glad to see it getting such good reviews. Ya'll deserve a good game after what I'm told was a mediocre entry last year.

Re: Push Scare: Why the Petrifying P.T. Is the Perfect Multiplayer Experience on PS4
@get2sammyb I, uh, never said I'd provide the cash prize. Come to think of it, didn't @ShogunRok say he was going to organise the prizes....
Re: Push Scare: Why the Petrifying P.T. Is the Perfect Multiplayer Experience on PS4
Real talk: whoever came up with 'Push Scare' needs to be awarded some sort of cash prize.

@ShogunRok deserves a medal for that tagline.
Blimey.

Re: No Fair! Japan's Getting The Unfinished Swan on PS4 and Vita Next Week

@rjejr Yeah, it's a terrible pun that makes reference to the 'Elysian Fields'
There's no shame in not getting it - I wrote it, and I don't really get it to be honest
Re: Geometry Wars Finally Makes Its PlayStation Debut in November
@get2sammyb Real talk: the main reason I didn't include the title of the game in the headline was because I couldn't stand looking at it.
It's a total travesty!
Re: Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Update Incoming 'Really Soon'
Aye. I'm ready. So ready.
Re: Video: Listen to Us Discuss the PS4's Biggest Upcoming Games
Cheers for the invite, lads
Seriously, though, this was a lot of fun, and I look forward to more of them!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 41
It was me. I complained about the length of the game I'm reviewing
