Re: Soapbox: PS5 Pricing Is Setting Releases Like Returnal Up to Fail

Yeah no chance.

You'd imagine they'd looked at sales figures and are ok with selling less initially at a higher price, and then making those numbers up over time with deals and reductions several months on.

I still firmly believe it won't be successful though, certainly for titles like this.

I mentioned before on here but I gave away my PS5 pre-order because I was put off by the price of games like Demon's Souls and Sackboy, and I'm still holding to that. I won't be buying many games day one any more if the prices stay as they are.

Re: Some People Are Getting Cat Food Instead of the PS5 They Paid For

@Boxmonkey I've had it before from Amazon with an SSD I bought. It wasn't super expensive, but inside was a box of crayons instead 😂 Some people are c&&&s.

Fortunately Amazon didn't ask many questions when I sent it back and they quickly refunded but it was still a pain.

This is always one of my concerns at times like this. We all know Amazon cheap out on delivery so I don't fully trust that the parcel is always in the hands of reputable people with stable jobs and it doesn't take a genius to work out what's in these boxes

Oooh sounds very promising from a gameplay perspective.

My complaint with tennis games has always been that it's far too easy to return and you rarely get outs or unforced errors.

I may well check this out!

Re: PS5 Pre-Order Mess Put into Perspective as Xbox Buyers Are Also Forced to Scramble

Apart from the initial mess of the PS5 splatter-gun info, I think it's been decent from both really (at least appears so in the UK)

I was able to get a PS5 and Series S through Amazon and looking now Game in the UK have all available, albeit the PS ones are limited to bundles but if anyone is that desperate to get one I don't think adding an extra controller or headset on should be a big issue.
