Nah too much in my backlog at the moment to be buying new games, still making my way through last year's releases.

I'm not feeling too motivated to play anything at the moment but I may try out Balatro on the Steam Deck.

Hard to believe one guy created all this, an amazing amount of work has gone into this game. I don't think I could keep motivated over all those years to craft something like that. He deserves all the success he's had really.

This seems like more of a steam deck game for me, I just wish there was an easier way to play gamepass games on steam deck. Any chance we'll see a deal with Microsoft and Valve to get gamepass integrated into the steam deck?

I don't how he managed to produce so much consistent quality over the years. Truly a talented guy. Hope he enjoys his well earned rest

I went for a backbone one for the meantime although have yet to try it with the PS5. If the Portal were more like a traditional handheld that could play your PS4 backlog coupled with the remote play for PS5 games it'd be a no-brainer for me.

I had to drop my main game Yakuza: Like a Dragon. The grindy repetitive combat and plodding story wore me down eventually. Also the cut scenes were far too long but I did appreciate the amount of work that went into the different systems and minigames. JRPGs are just not my thing anymore. I think I'll just go back to playing Mario Wonder this weekend instead.

Probably some more Yakuza: Like a Dragon if I can get motivated to play it.

urgh I hope the PS6 doesn't come too soon, this generation hasn't reached its full potential yet and I don't really want to fork out for a new console.

I'm a bit exhausted this weekend but still playing through Yakuza: Like a Dragon. So many different mini games and systems in that game, dunno how they churn out so many of those games.

Guess I won't be playing this for a while then as I have no space left on PS5. I need to finish the first one anyway. I have final fantasy 16 installed and yet to start too so will probably finish those 2 before I get around to this one.

I'm playing through Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Sea of Stars mainly. If I have extra time I'll dip into Mario Wonder, Gran Turismo 7 and Street Fighter 6. Unlikely I will have extra time with the football on this weekend. Hopefully Luton wins again

I've finished the main game and phantom liberty which were outstanding. I've left the game installed on my machine as there's still a lot of side quests and gigs to do and will likely go back to it at some point. I'm also quite curious to see how playing through as female V would be and how they'd handle the interactions with Johnny.

I'm currently playing the original Like a Dragon and love it so far. I'm going to finish that and Like a Dragon Gaiden before starting Infinite Wealth. So glad I started this series now.

I intend on getting it next month and will likely get it for the PC due to lack of space on the PS5. I used to love the old Tekken games back in the day, Tekken 2 and Tekken Tag Tournament. It seems things are continuing on from last year the gaming hits keep on coming.

Playing the first Like a Dragon game on game pass along with Sea of Stars on the Steam Deck. Also whenever I have some free time I dip into Street fighter 6, Gran Turismo 7 and Mario Wonder. Been really impressed with Like a Dragon so far and looking forward to continuing the series in the future.

Ghost mode sounds interesting, I'll have to give that a try.

I'll probably just play the PS4 version at some point, wasn't that keen on the first game so not all that motivated to play this one.

These subscription services are only suitable for shorter games really or games that are guaranteed to stay on the service. Good value if you have the time to play a lot of the games on it. For me though I think I'll stick to buying games and play them at my own pace.

Street Fighter 6, Gran Turismo 7 and Mario Wonder. Gonna take a break from Starfield for a while. I'll probably play something on the steam deck also.

I will likely be getting this when it does eventually release, there's still a lot I haven't done in that game and it would be the perfect opportunity to revisit it. One of the best games I've ever played that.

Same again this weekend: Starfield, Street Fighter 6 and Mario Wonder. I may also try to get some time on the steam deck with Drainus or Vampire Survivors.

Still making the way through last year's crop of games so will probably wait a while before getting anymore. Tekken 8 is tempting though.

If it's on Ubisoft+ I may sign up to that again to play it for a while, if not then I'll wait for a sale.

You could buy yourself a switch for that price...would be a far better investment

Horizon and Avatar are probably two of the best looking games out there, don't think I could afford the tech to run them at max settings though.

I'm interested to see where they go from Hogwarts Legacy, it was an enjoyable game although a bit repetitive towards the end. Hogwarts and Hogsmeade were well done but the rest of the world could have been better. A lot of potential there though.

Starfield, Street Fighter 6 & Mario Wonder this weekend methinks. I gave up on Sonic Superstars, the bosses were just too annoying.

@LN78 I have the game (bought it in a recent sale) and played through the opening section, it seemed very similar to RoboCop to me but maybe it changes as the game goes on. Anyways I intend to get around to playing it more at some point.

Gonna try out Like a Dragon on gamepass, there's so many Yakuza games to play and I don't think I'd play them all so may as well play that one and see if Infinite Wealth is going to be my cup of tea. Hopefully they don't pull Like a Dragon from gamepass, I'm a bit wary of starting long games on those subscription services for that reason.

Phantom Liberty was my favourite gaming experience of 2023. 5 million sales is well deserved if you ask me. Here's looking forward to the Witcher 4

I enjoyed RoboCop Rogue City quite a bit but don't think I could play through it again unless to get some missing achievements near the start of the game. Not too fussed about those though. I may play Terminator Resistance as that's basically the same game by the same devs but set in the Terminator universe. Gonna wait a bit as only recently finished RoboCop.

My vote would probably go to Capcom but Larian are a worthy choice also. I have to give credit to CD Projekt RED too for sticking with Cyberpunk and ultimately turning it into a great game. I've yet to play Cocoon so can't comment on that one.

Best year I can remember, my memory is not so good though. If you own a switch, PS5 and Xbox/PC you had quite the pick of top quality games to choose from. It was a great year for gaming.

Hogwarts was a decent game, the devs put a lot of effort into it which shows, particularly around the school. I started playing Street Fighter 6 recently and it seems quite cool, the gradual progression in the story mode beats having to memorise moves from a list for me.

Hey, maybe it'll be Tears of the Kingdom at #1

Phantom Liberty was amazing, one of the highlights of the year for me. Quite the turn around for that game, I'm glad they stuck with it.

This weekend it'll be Street Fighter 6 and Blood and Wine in the Witcher. I may also play a few levels of Sonic Superstars and Mario Wonder. I gave up on Avatar in the end, it looks great but is a bit of a bore to play through.

I intend to install this game today, picked it up there before Christmas. Think I've settled on playing this one over Guilty Gear Strive and Mortal Kombat 1 for now.

Can't really argue with BG3 being top there, not feeling too motivated to continue playing it even though I generally can't put it down once I start. It's addictive but I don't enjoy playing it for some reason, it's probably due to the slow pace of gameplay.

Pretty good lineup that if you haven't played them.

I guess I'll be playing The Witcher Blood & Wine and Baldur's Gate 3 over Christmas. Put 50 hours into BG3 when it first came out but got a bit burned out on it and took a break. Playing the Witcher at Christmas is becoming a tradition for me at this stage. Enjoy the holidays people

Hogwarts was probably a better game than Avatar although the world in Avatar is more dense and interesting. Haven't played the other games yet.

3 of these games are in my backlog, currently playing Sonic Superstars on and off but those bosses are a drag. I don't really have much interest in playing Spiderman 2 as the original didn't click with me. Bomb Rush, SF6 and RE4 look like top games though.

With Yakuza games I get the Netflix problem of which one to play, there's so many of them. Then I give up and play the Witcher instead

Hmmm Tekken 8, Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 1 or Guilty Gear Strive. Hard to know which one to invest your time in if you have to pick one.

I think I'll make do with my clunky old regular PS5, not too fussed about having the latest and greatest machine when it arrives. Maybe a PS6 though if they continue the backwards compatibility with it. As for the next xbox console I think I'll stick to upgrading the gaming laptop (if needed) and use gamepass with that.

Tried it on Ubisoft+ and it looks amazing, one of the best looking games I've seen I have to say. I wasn't a big fan of the movies but it's a cool game to wander around in and just take in the sights.
