I'd probably pick Balatro from that list. It's not as strong a year as the past 2 years though.

I'll be playing Sonic Frontiers, Sonic X Shadow Generations and Metaphor: ReFantazio this weekend. All of those games are great imo.

Finished the Shadow Generations half of the game there. Mostly excellent apart from a few finicky bits. I'd agree with the 8/10 score so far. Never played the original Sonic Generations so onto that next.

My main games at the moment are Metaphor ReFantazio and Sonic X Shadow Generations. Then some shorter sessions with Forza Horizon 4 and Broken Sword Reforged. Good times.

Nice! Hopefully we see more efforts like Astro Bot.

For $10 it's a nice upgrade. I don't know if I want to play through it again though. Did the DLC get upgraded also? Haven't played that yet.

GTA 6, Ghost of Yotei, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. And I'd also pick Monster Hunter Wilds and Indiana Jones if I could. It's shaping up to be a good year.

This weekend it's Metaphor: ReFantazio (Fantastic), Diablo 4 (Ok) and Broken Sword: Reforged (Great)

Might pick this up after I finish the campaign. Well maybe I should say if I finish the campaign as I'm nowhere near done.

I'd give it a 9 so far. This game keeps you on your toes with the combat. The gameplay is quite strong for a JRPG. Presentation and soundtrack is excellent also. And finally the story and characters are engaging.

Of the games I've played, I'd go for:

1. Dragon's Dogma 2
2. Balatro
3. Metaphor: ReFantazio
4. Astro Bot
5. Broken Sword: Reforged

I have played a couple of hours of both Stellar Blade and Black Myth Wukong but they have yet to hook me and gone on the backlog.

I've been playing various different games the past few weeks with nothing really sticking. Hopefully that will change with the following this weekend: Metaphor: ReFantazio, Diablo 4 and Astro Bot. And maybe Broken Sword: Reforged on the PC if there's time.

It's strange that Star Wars Outlaws is up that high yet Ubisoft are disappointed with the sales. It's the same with Square Enix with their games, no amount of sales is ever enough.

I'm tempted to get it but I bought Metaphor and don't like the idea of spending another 80 quid. Maybe next month though. Tons of games out this month.

Playing a bit of The Crew: Motorfest and probably Broken Sword: Reforged. Maybe some UFO 50 also.

It was probably a combination of the anniversary edition and the Digital Foundry review that changed some people's opinions. I still think it's too much though for what you get. I wouldn't be the target audience for this however and hope those that did purchase one get plenty of enjoyment from it.

Maybe some Broken Sword Reforged, Sonic Frontiers and UFO 50 this weekend. I may also start the new Zelda game at some point. Enjoy the weekend everyone.

Playing Balatro, Astro Bot and may give The Crew Motorfest a go. I had to quit Baldur's Gate 3 and Star Wars Outlaws for a while as was getting burned out on them.

I'd have to agree with the top 5 in that order, some great games there.

It's a 9 or a 10 for me, not quite as good as Mario Galaxy but close.

@johnedwin I have a PS5, I'd probably move to solely PC gaming for the next generation if these prices continue. If I'm going to be spending that much then might as well get a decent PC instead.

Think I'll stick to PC gaming for the next gen if I'm going to have to spend that much on a console anyway.

Wasn't going to get it before, definitely not getting it at 800 euro.

So what's the best platform to get this on? Switch, Steam? I'm guessing not PS5 due to the issues mentioned.

I've put it on the wishlist, too many other games to play right now.

After 9 hours I'd give it a 7/10 so far. It's fun but the stealth is a bit basic and there's a few crashes here and there.

Baldur's Gate 3, Star Wars Outlaws and Astro Bot this weekend. Outlaws is good fun but I did have a couple of crashes. BG3 is just an epic game really and hard to put down. Haven't started Astro Bot yet but I know that'll be good.

Just finished a brutally hard fight in Baldur's Gate 3 so I think Astro Bot is the perfect game to forget all that

Anticipated 5.5 million sales by March 2025 and that would be a disappointment...they're just setting the bar too high with those expectations. I've played the first 8 hours of the game and it is enjoyable for the most part. Does it deserve Elden Ring level sales, probably not.

I played the first two hours, it's a lot of fun so far. I did turn off that lockpicking game though, couldn't be bothered with that. It's going to be a good game to play alongside Baldur's Gate 3 I feel.

I feel bad for the developers, I don't feel bad for the publishers.

It always annoys me when games are really slow to get going, that was my main problem with Black Myth Wukong also. I would have thought you'd want to hook the player straight away but unfortunately not in this case.

I think I'll give it a go, has been a bit of a slow summer release wise.

@breakneck It took me 117 hours to reach the city, I guess I'm looking at another 50-60 hours. I would say that it's one of the best games of all time but it's a bit too long for it to top Elden Ring in my list. It's definitely easy to get burned out on it. I will give Larian top marks for the amount of effort they put into the game.

Made it to Baldur's Gate in BG3, too much to do really. I've also been playing Stellar Blade and Sonic Colors Ultimate as a change of pace. Stellar Blade is pretty good. Colors has its moments but the 2D sections suck.

Looking forward to this. Hopefully we see a Discworld remaster someday too.

Got the PC version. I requested a refund for this however. The combat seemed pretty basic to me at the start and as the review states it takes about 15 hours to get to the good stuff. I'm not sure I want to suffer through that. Also the performance wasn't great for me. It does look good when it's not stuttering though.

I've been playing it but I think I'd rather just be playing Elden Ring instead. That game does everything better really. Wukong doesn't justify the hype around it imo. It does look good though.

Might get the PC version, that download size is a bit of a put off though.

In the middle of clearing out Moonrise in Baldur's Gate 3, addictive game but can be a bit of a slog at times. Other games being played are Spin Rhythm XD and Nobody Wants to Die.

Crazy numbers, can't see myself playing it though.

I'll be playing Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Gran Turismo 7 and Zelda: The Minish Cap. And maybe Balatro if I have some extra time which I may well do as the Euros are proving to be terrible to watch.

Dragons Dogma 2, I couldn't put it down. Balatro is a contender also.

Good to see a games dev hiring for a change. Robocop was a quality game, I'll be interested in their next effort.

It'll be Gran Turismo 7, Balatro and some other game from the backlog this weekend. Will try and watch the Euros which has been dire so far. Also might watch Tour De France.

20 quid is a reasonable price but can't really justify buying it if it's going straight onto the backlog. Unfortunately for remasters like these, there's just too many other good games to play and too little time in the day.
